Sowing and Reaping – Part 1
རོ་མཱ་པ། 8:18-21
18 ངའི་བསམ་པར། དེང་དུས་ཀྱི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ནི་མ་འོངས་པའི་དུས་སུ་ངེད་རྣམས་ལ་མངོན་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་བསྡུར་ན་ཅི་ཡང་མིན།
19 དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གང་བཀོད་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྲས་རྣམས་མངོན་སུམ་དུ་འགྱུར་བར་གདུང་ཞིང་སྒུག
20-21 གང་ལགས་ཟེར་ན། དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གང་བཀོད་པ་རྣམས་རང་གི་འདོད་པ་ལྟར་མེད་དེ། ཁོང་གི་དགོངས་པ་ལྟར་དོན་མེད་པའི་དབང་དུ་བཅུག དེ་ནི་རེ་བ་བྱེད་དེ་གང་བཀོད་པ་འཇིག་པ་ལས་བསྒྲལ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྲས་དང་སྲས་མོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་ལྡན་པའི་རང་དབང་འཐོབ་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཡིན།
Romans 8:18-21
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
Truth and reality can be difficult and inconvenient but we can look forward to a better future with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
If we consider well the overall teachings of Jesus and His apostles, how often they warn of hardship and suffering, especially when and after we become disciples of Jesus.
The will of God is not to make our life difficult but because of the working of sin and spiritual darkness in this world that we are faced with constant conflict within us and among us.
The will of God is that we live free of corruption and to share in the glory of Christ.
When we become disciples and followers of Jesus we are embarking on a journey of faith and obedience to practice what Jesus and His apostles taught us about living in this new born-again life breaking free from old sins and being conformed to the ways of Christ.
ཨེ་ཕེ་སུ་པ། 6:12
གང་ཡིན་ཞེ་ན། ང་ཚོས་མི་རྣམས་ལ་མི་འཐབ་ཀྱི། མཐུ་ལྡན་དང༌། དབང་ཅན། འཇིག་རྟེན་འདིའི་མུན་པའི་དབང་སྒྱུར་བ། ཞིང་ཁམས་ཀྱི་ངན་དབང་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་འཐབ།
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
We already know that our life today is full of challenges but very often we felt confused where and what is the source of conflict. We get put in a difficult situation when we cannot tell between friends and foes.
We know we are living in an environment where majority of world population do not practice Bible truths as taught by Jesus.
For example as Christians we try our best to be good citizens of the country and community we are part of but it is confusing when government leaders across the world keep trying to impose and engineer their policy of “world peace” and “living in harmony” impressing everyone to agree with everybody else when in truth and reality we see repeated wars and unrestrained bloodshed everywhere. In our modern society across the world civil disobedience, rioting, and even murders have become pervasive. All these are under the influences of spiritual darkness.
We know for sure our current world is no more an ideal place for “world peace” but why do government leaders keep promoting “world peace” as if they can make it happen? Because they don’t believe in what is written in the Bible? They don’t believe in what Jesus said about works of the devil? They don’t believe the judgement of God?
As Christians and followers of Jesus we believe and accept what is taught by Jesus and His apostles about the coming judgement of God and we are to repent and practice Jesus’ way of godliness but how do we continue to live in this current world run by government leaders who don’t believe what Jesus said?
We are taught to exercise wisdom how to relate to government leaders who do not practice Bible truth and –
This is where our Christian sufferings become reality but for a better brighter future because of God’s promises of eternal blessings in His kingdom.
That’s right, we need to first think and reflect on what is of eternal value as according to what we learn from Jesus. We need to give priority to what is of eternal value.
What Jesus is teaching us is of eternal value but what world government leaders do have no eternal values. We must choose that which is of eternal value.
Our Christian sufferings for Christ’s sake will teach us to reflect more on God’s truth which is of eternal value.
To embrace our Christian sufferings for Christ’s sake being empowered by the Holy Spirit will encourage us to prioritize the will of God that helps us to seek eternal life in Jesus.
Our Christian sufferings for Christ’s sake should motivate us to pray in hope of a better future in His kingdom and not be in despair of this current world situation!
ཡ་ཧུ་དཱ་པ། 11:13-16
13 དེ་ཚོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་མ་འཆི་བར་དུ་དད་པ་ལ་བརྟེན་ཏེ། གང་ཞལ་གྱིས་བཞེས་པ་མ་ཐོབ་ཀྱང༌། ཐག་རིང་ནས་མཐོང་ཞིང་དགའ་བསུ་བྱས། འཇིག་རྟེན་འདིར་རང་ཉིད་གནས་གཡར་བ་དང༌། མགྲོན་པོར་ངོས་འཛིན་བྱས།
14 དེ་ལྟར་སྨྲ་བའི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འདི་ངའི་ཕ་ཡུལ་ཡིན་ཟེར་ཐུབ་པའི་ལུང་པ་ཞིག་སྒུག་མཁན་ཡིན་པར་གསལ་སྟོན་བྱེད།
15 ཡུལ་གང་ནས་ཐོན་པ་དེ་དྲན་པ་ཡིན་ན་དེར་ལོག་པའི་གོ་སྐབས་བྱུང་ཡོད།
16 འོན་ཀྱང་ཁོ་ཚོས་དེ་ལས་ལེགས་པའི་ཡུལ་ཏེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞིང་ཁམས་སུ་ཡོད་པ་དེ་རེ་སྒུག་བྱེད་མཁན་ཡིན། དེའི་ཕྱིར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ཚོའི་དོན་ལ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་མཆོག་ཅིག་བཤམས་པར་མཛད་ཅིང༌། ཁོང་ཁོ་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཅེས་ཟེར་བར་ཐུགས་ཚ་མི་གནང༌།
Hebrews 11:13-16
13 These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. 15 If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.
v13 “These all died in faith” refers to people who died in faith in God and waiting for the promised resurrection to life and eternal life!
We believe in God’s promises of a better future therefore we are not discouraged.
We suffer for Christ’s sake when we want to live in obedience to God’s truth.
We walk the way of Jesus because we desire to be in His glory.
Our sufferings in Christ will teach us to differentiate between what is of eternal value and what is not.
Our friendship and fellowship with Jesus will helps us overcome the difficulties and sufferings of this current world.
ཡོ་ཧ་ནན་དང་པོ། 2:15-17
15འཇིག་རྟེན་འདི་དང་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་དངོས་པོ་ཀུན་ལ་ཞེན་ཆགས༌པར་མི་བྱའོ། །གལ་ཏེ། མི་སུ་ཞིག་འཇིག་རྟེན་ལ་ཞེན་ཆགས་པར་གྱུར་ན། མི་དེའི་སེམས་སུ་ཡབ་ལ་གཅེས་པའི་སེམས་ནི་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།། 16ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཞེ་ན། འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་དོན་ཐམས་ཅད་དེ། ཤ་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་འདོད་ཆགས་དང་། མིག་གི་འདོད༌ཆགས། ཚེ་འདིའི་ང་རྒྱལ་བཅས་ནི་ཡབ་ནས་བྱུང་བ་མ་ཡིན་པར་འཇིག་རྟེན་ནས་བྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།། 17འཇིག་རྟེན་འདི་དང་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་འདོད་ཆགས་ཐམས་ཅད་འཇིག་པར་འགྱུར༌མོད། འོན་ཀྱང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་དགོངས་བཞིན་སྒྲུབ་མཁན་ནི་གཏན་དུ་གནས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།།
1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
Our blessed hope is in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen!
Therefore whatever sufferings, sacrifices, and inconveniences we have to face with today we are able to overcome because of the promises of God for a better brighter future with Jesus.
