1 Peter 5:1-5

1 ང་རང་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འགན་ཁུར་བ་དང༌། མཱ་ཤི་ཀའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་གྱི་དཔང་པོ་དང༌། མངོན་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་གཟི་བརྗིད་ཀྱི་སྐལ་བ་འཐོབ་མཁན་ཡིན་པས། ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འགན་ཁུར་བ་རྣམས་ལ་འདི་ལྟར་སྐུལ།

2 དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་གཏོད་གནང་བའི་མི་རྣམས་རྫི་བོས་ལུག་ཁྱུ་ལྟར་སྐྱོངས། མི་འདོད་པར་མིན་གྱིས། དགའ་བའི་ངང་ནས་འགན་དེ་འཁུར། རྒྱུ་ནོར་ལ་ཆགས་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་མིན་པར། དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཞབས་ཏོག་སྒྲུབ་པའི་བརྩོན་སེམས་ཀྱིས་སྐྱོངས་ཤིག

3 ཁྱེད་ལ་གཏད་པའི་ལུག་ཁྱུ་སྟེ་མི་རྣམས་ལ་བཙན་ཤེད་མི་བྱེད་པར་མིག་དཔེ་སྟོན་ཞིག

4 རྫི་བོ་མཆོག་དེ་མངོན་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཚེ། ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་ལྡན་པའི་མི་འཇིག་པའི་ཅོད་པན་འཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར་ངེས་ཡིན།

5 དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ཁྱེད་གཞོན་ནུ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་འགན་ཁུར་བའི་བཀའ་ལ་ཉན་དགོས། ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཉམས་ཆུང་གི་ཐོག་ནས་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་རོགས་བྱེད་དགོས། གང་ཡིན་ཞེ་ན།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ནི་ང་རྒྱལ་ཅན་ལ་རྒོལ།།

Study Points

. Peter gave instruction for leadership role and function

. To follow in the example of Christ suffering in guiding the sheep to walk in truth and obedience to God’s will

. Peter encourage the younger generation to be in agreement with elder leadership who serve in the same example of Christ

1 Peter 5:1-5

1 So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: 2 shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; 3 not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

12 གཅེས་པའི་སྤུན་ཟླ་རྣམས། ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ཚོད་ལྟ་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་བྱུང་བའི་མེ་ལྟ་བུའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་གྱི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁྱེད་ལ་ཁྱད་མཚར་ཞིག་འབྱུང་བ་ཡིན་མ་བསམ་མམ་ཡང་ན་ཡ་མཚན་མ་སྐྱེད།

13 དེ་ལས་ལྡོག་སྟེ་ཁྱེད་ཚོས་མཱ་ཤི་ཀའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཇི་ཙམ་མྱོང་བ་དེ་ཙམ་གྱི་དགའ་བར་གྱུར་ཅིག དེ་ནས་ཁོང་གི་གཟི་བརྗིད་མངོན་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཚེ་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ཧ་ཅང་དགའ་བར་གྱུར།

14 ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་མཱ་ཤི་ཀའི་མཚན་གྱི་རྐྱེན་པས་དམའ་འབེབས་བྱས་ན་བདེའོ། གང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ན། དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་ལྡན་པའི་དམ་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་གནས་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།

15 གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་ཁྲོད་དུ། མི་གསོད་མཁན་ནམ། རྐུན་མའམ། ཉེས་ཅན་ནམ། གཞན་གྱི་དོན་ལ་ཐེ་ཇུས་བྱེད་མཁན་གྱི་ཐོག་ནས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་ན་མི་འོས་སོ།

16 འོན་ཀྱང་སུ་ཞིག་མཱ་ཤི་ཀ་པ་ཡིན་པས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་བྱུང་ན། ངོ་ཚ་བར་མི་འགྱུར་ཏེ་མཚན་དེ་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྟོད་ཅིག

17 ད་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཉིད་ཀྱི་མི་རྣམས་ནས་འགོ་འཛུགས་ཏེ་ཁྲིམས་གཅོད་གཏོང་བའི་དུས་ལ་བབས། ངེད་རྣམས་ནས་འགོ་བཙུགས་ན། དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་འཕྲིན་བཟང་ལ་མ་ཉན་པ་རྣམས་ལ་ཅི་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།

18 ཡང་མདོ་ལས།

དྲང་བདེན་རྣམས་ཀྱང་ཐར་དཀའ་ན།།

དད་མེད་སྡིག་ཅན་ཅི་ཞིག་བྱེད།།

ཅེས་འཁོད།

19 དེའི་ཕྱིར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་དགོངས་བཞིན་དུ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་བ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་འགོད་པ་གནང་མཁན་གྱི་བློ་གཏད་ཆོག་པའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་རང་ཉིད་བཅོལ་ནས་མུ་མཐུད་བཟང་པོ་བྱེད་དགོས་སོ།།

Study Points

. Peter speaks of godly suffering and to look to God for comfort and strength

. Peter warns against deserved suffering due to wrong-doings and such must be avoided

. To live in the awareness of God’s justice and judgement and to live in fear of God

1 Peter 4:12-19

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And “If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.

7 དོན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མཐའ་སླེབས་པར་ཉེ་བས། སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་པའི་ཕྱིར་རང་ཚོད་ཟིན་པ་དང༌། བློ་གསལ་པོར་གནས་ཤིག

8 གལ་ཆེ་ཤོས་ནི་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་སེམས་གཏིང་ནས་བྱམས་པར་འཛིན་ཞིག གང་ལགས་ཤེ་ན། བྱམས་པ་ཡིས་སྡིག་ཉེས་མང་པོ་གུ་ཡངས་གཏོང་ཐུབ་པས་སོ།

9 མ་རངས་པའི་གཏམ་མི་བཤད་པར་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་སྣེ་ལེན་བྱེད།

10 ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་མི་རེ་རེ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནས་གནང་སྦྱིན་ཞིག་ཐོབ་ཟིན་པས། དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་སྣ་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་གཉེར་པ་མཁས་པ་ལྟར་དེ་ཡིས་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་རོགས་བྱེད།

11 ཆོས་ཤོད་མཁན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་གསུང་པ་དེ་རང་ལྟར་ཤོད་དགོས། རོགས་བྱེད་མཁན་གྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གནང་བའི་སྟོབས་ཀྱིས་རོགས་བྱེད་དགོས། དེ་ནས་དོན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཐོག་ནས་ཡེ་ཤུ་མཱ་ཤི་ཀ་བརྒྱུད་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར། དུས་གཏན་དུ་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་དབང་ཁོང་གི་ཡིན་ནོ།

Study Points

. Peter teaches on the importance of our prayer life

. Peter speaks of ministering to one another to encourage and strengthen one another’s faith and obedience to do God’s will

. For the sake of pleasing God and to do His will we need to be prepared in serving God’s sheep

1 Peter 4:7-11

7 The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
