Mark 8:11-13
The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, seeking from him a sign from heaven to test him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly, I say to you , no sign will be given to this generation.” And he left them, got into the boat, and went to the other side.
Was it a victorious soldier king riding a horse with golden wings that the Pharisees wanted for Israel’s Saviour and Messiah? How could this country carpenter whom they despised be such a hero!
No such sign would Yeshu give them.
For, as they ought to have known well, the scriptures foretold a Messiah who would heal the sick and lame with godly compassion and power. So no other sign was needed than those already given by Yeshu
It was a sad and short visit to Dalmanutha.
