བཀོད་པ 23 – Genesis 23

23:1  ས་རཱ་ལོ་  ༡༢༧  གསོན་ནོ།

Sarah lived 127 years; these were the years of the life of Sarah.

23:2  ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་ས་གནས་ཧེབ་རོན་དུ་མོ་གྲོངས་པ་དང་།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་མྱ་ངན་བྱས་སོ།

And Sarah died at Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went in to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.

23:3  ས་རཱའི་ཕུང་པོ་ཡོད་ས་ནས་ཐོན་ཏེ་ཧི་ཏི་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ས་གནས་སུ་སོང་ནས་ཁོང་ཚོ་ལ།

And Abraham rose up from before his dead and said to the Hittites,

23:4  ང་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ཁྲོད་དུ་གནས་སྡོད་བྱ་མཁན་ཕྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་ཞིག་ཡིན་པས།  ངའི་ཆུང་མ་གྲོངས་ནས་མོའི་ཕུང་པོ་སྦས་པའི་ཕྱིར་དུར་ས་ཞིག་བཙོང་རོགས་གནང་ཞེས་ཁོང་གི་སྨྲས་སོ།

“I am a sojourner and foreigner among you; give me property among you for a burying place, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.”

23:5  ཁོང་ཚོས་ལན་དུ།

The Hittites answered Abraham,

23:6  སྐུ་ཞབས་ལགས།  ང་ཚོའི་གཏམ་ལ་གསན་རོགས་གནང།  ཁྱེད་ནི་སྟོབས་དང་ལྡན་པའི་འགོ་འཁྲིད་ཞིག་རྩིས་བཞིན་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ང་ཚོ་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་དུར་ས་ལེགས་ཤོས་ནང་དུ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་སྦས་རོགས་གནང་།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་སྦས་ཕྱིར་ང་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་སུ་ཞིག་གི་དུར་ས་སྤྲད་འགྱུར་དགའ་པོ་ཡོད།

“Hear us, my lord; you are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb to hinder you from burying your dead.”

23:7  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་དེ་ཚོའི་མདུན་དུ་ཁོང་ཚོ་ལ་གུས་འདུད་བྱེད་ཅིང་དེ་ཚོ་ལ།

Abraham rose and bowed to the Hittites, the people of the land.

23:8  གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ངའི་ཆུང་མ་དེ་རུ་སྦས་བཅུག་འདོད་ཡོད་ན།  ཛོ་ཧར་གྱི་བུ་ཨེཕ་རོན་གྱི་ཞིང་ཁའི་མཐར་རུ་མག་པེ་ལ་ཞེས་པའི་བྲག་ཕུག་ཞིག་ཡོད་པས།

And he said to them, “If you are willing that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me and entreat for me Ephron the son of Zohar,

23:9  དེ་ང་ལ་བཙོང་རོགས་གནང་ཞེས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁོ་ལ་ལབ་རོགས་གནང།  ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མདུན་དུ་ངས་དུར་ས་དེའི་རིན་དངུལ་ཚང་མ་སྤྲད་དེ་ཉོས་ནས་།  དུར་ས་དེ་ང་ལ་བདག་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཁོང་ལ་ལབ་རོགས་གནང་།

that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he owns; it is at the end of his field. For the full price let him give it to me in your presence as property for a burying place.”

23:10  མི་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་དཀྱིལ་དུ་ཨེཕ་རོན་རང་ཉིད་ཧི་ཏི་པ་གཞན་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཚོགས་འདུ་ཚོགས་སར་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་རྒྱལ་སྒོར་བསྡད་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ཚང་མས་ཐོས་སར་ཁོས་སྨྲས་པ།

Now Ephron was sitting among the Hittites, and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the Hittites, of all who went in at the gate of his city,

23:11  སྐུ་ཞབས་ལགས་གསན་དང་།  ངའི་ཞིང་དང་དེར་ཡོད་པའི་བྲག་ཕུག་དེ་ཁྱེད་ལ་འབུལ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  དེར་ངའི་རང་གི་མི་མང་གི་མདུན་དུ་ངས་ཁྱེད་ལ་སྟེར་བར་བྱ།  དེར་བརྟེན་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་སྦས་ཐུབ་བོ།

“No, my lord, hear me: I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the sight of the sons of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead.”

23:12  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཧི་ཏི་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་གུས་འདུད་བྱེད་ཅིང་།

Then Abraham bowed down before the people of the land.

23:13  ཚང་མས་ཐོས་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཨེཕ་རོན་ལ་སྨྲས་པ།  ངས་ཞིང་ཚང་མ་ཉོ་གི་ཡིན།  ངའི་རིན་དངུལ་དེ་བཞེས་རོགས་གནང་།  དེ་ནས་ངའི་ཆུང་མ་དེར་སྦས་ཀྱིས་ཡིན།

And he said to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land, “But if you will, hear me: I give the price of the field. Accept it from me, that I may bury my dead there.”

23:14-15  ཨེཕ་རོན་གྱིས་སྐུ་ཞབས་ལགས།  ཞིང་གི་རིན་གོང་དངུལ་སྲང་  ༤༠༠ ཡིན་པས།  དེ་ནི་ཁྱེད་དང་ང་གཉིས་བར་ཁྱད་པ་ཅི་ཡོད་དམ།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་དེར་སྦས་པ་གནང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

Ephron answered Abraham, “My lord, listen to me: a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.”

23:16  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་མོས་མཐུན་བྱུང་བ་དང་།  ཨེཕ་རོན་གྱིས་ཚང་མས་ཐོས་ཕྱིར་སྨྲས་པའི་རིན་གོང་དངུལ་སྲང་  ༤༠༠  དེ་ཚོང་པ་ཚོས་བེད་སྤྱོད་བྱས་པའི་ཚད་ལྟར་བཀྱག་གོ

Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.

23:17  དེ་ལྟར་མམ་རེའི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་མག་པེ་ལར་ཡོད་པའི་ཨེཕ་རོན་གྱི་ཞིང་དེ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རྒྱུ་ནོར་རུ་འགྱུར་རོ།  དེར་ཞིང་ཁར་ཡོད་པའི་བྲག་ཕུག་དང་།  ཞིང་གི་འགྲམ་དུ་བཙུགས་པའི་ཤིང་སྡོང་དང་བཅས་པ་ཚང་མ་འཁེལ་ལོ།

So the field of Ephron in Machpelah, which was to the east of Mamre, the field with the cave that was in it and all the trees that were in the field, throughout its whole area, was made over

23:18  ཚོགས་པ་དེར་ཡོད་པའི་ཧི་ཏི་པའི་མི་ཚོས་དེ་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རྒྱུ་ནོར་ཡིན་ཟེར་ངོས་ལེན་བྱས་སོ།

to Abraham as a possession in the presence of the Hittites, before all who went in at the gate of his city.

23:19  དེར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་བྲག་ཕུག་དེའི་ནང་རང་གྱི་ཆུང་མ་ས་རཱ་དུར་དུ་བཅུག་གོ

After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah east of Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.

23:20  ཧི་ཏི་པ་ཚོའི་ཞིང་དང་དེའི་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་བྲག་ཕུག་དང་བཅས་པ་དུར་སའི་ཚུལ་དུ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རྒྱུ་ནོར་དུ་འགྱུར་རོ༎

The field and the cave that is in it were made over to Abraham as property for a burying place by the Hittites.

བཀོད་པ 22 – Genesis 22

22:1  དུས་ཚོད་འགའ་ཤས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་ཚོད་བལྟ་གནང་ཞིང་ཁོ་ལ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ཞེས་འབོད་པས།  ཁོས་ང་འདི་རུ་ཡོད་ཅེས་ཞུས་པ་དང་།

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

22:2  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ།  ད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་ཧ་ཅང་གཅེས་པའི་བུ་གཅིག་པུ་ཨི་སཱག་འཁྲིད་དེ་མོ་རི་ཡཱ་ཞེས་པའི་ཡུལ་དུ་སོང་ཞིག  ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྟན་པའི་རི་ཞིག་ཏུ་ཁོ་ནི་ང་ལ་དམར་མཆོད་ཀྱི་ཆེད་དུ་འབུལ་ཞིག་ཅེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངོ་།

He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.”

22:3  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་སྔ་དྲོ་ལངས་ཏེ་དམར་མཆོད་ཀྱི་ཆེད་དུ་ཤིང་འགའ་ཤས་བཅད་དེ་བོང་བུར་བཀལ་ནས།  བུ་ཨི་སཱག་དང་གཡོག་པོ་གཉིས་འཁྲིད་དེ།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པའི་གནས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་།

So Abraham rose early in the morning, saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and his son Isaac. And he cut the wood for the burnt offering and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.

22:4  ཞག་གསུམ་པ་ལ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ས་ཆ་དེ་ཐག་རིང་ནས་མཐོང་ངོ་།

On the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from afar.

22:5  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་གཡོག་པོ་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཚོ་བོང་བུ་མཉམ་དུ་དེར་སྡོད་ཅིག་དང་། ང་དང་ངའི་བུ་གནས་དེར་ཕྱིན་ནས་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ཅིང་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་རྩར་ལོག་ཡོང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; I and the boy will go over there and worship and come again to you.”

22:6  དམར་མཆོད་ཀྱི་ཤིང་དེ་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་འཁུར་བཅུག་སྟེ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་གྲི་ཞིག་དང་སོ་ལེའི་མེ་ཞིག་འཁྱེར་ནས་ཁོང་གཉིས་མཉམ་དུ་སོང་ངོ་།

And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife. So they went both of them together.

22:7  ཁོང་ཚོ་ལམ་དུ་འགྲོ་བའི་ཚེ་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཕ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ།  ངའི་ཡབ་ལགས། ལགས་ངའི་བུ།  མེ་འབར་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཤིང་དང་སོ་ལེའི་མེ་ཡོད་ཀྱང་།  དམར་མཆོད་ཀྱི་ཕྱིར་ལུ་གུ་ག་རུ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཞུས་སོ།

And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?”

22:8  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  དཀོན་མཆོག་རང་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ང་ཚོ་ལ་ལུག་གུ་ཞིག་གནང་ཡོང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།  ཁོ་གཉིས་མཉམ་དུ་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་སོང་ངོ་།

Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.

22:9  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པའི་གནས་སུ་བསླེབས་ཏེ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་དེ་རུ་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་ནས་ཤིང་སྒྲིག་པ་དང་།  རང་གི་བུ་ཨི་སཱག་ཐག་པའི་བསྡམས་ནས་མཆོད་ཁྲིའི་ཤིང་གི་སྒང་དུ་བཞག་གོ

When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood.

22:10  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་བུ་བསད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ལག་པའི་གྲི་དེ་ཡར་འཆར་བ་དང་།

Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son.

22:11  འོན་ཀྱང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཕོ་ཉས་ནམ་མཁའ་ནས་བོས་ཏེ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ། ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གསུངས་པ་དང་།  ཁོས་ང་འདི་རུ་ཡོད་ཞུས་པ་ལས།

But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.”

22:12  ཕོ་ཉས།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་ལ་གནོད་པ་གང་ཡང་མ་བྱེད་ཅིག།  ད་ལྟ་ངའི་དོན་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་བུ་གཅིག་པུ་དེའང་མ་འཕང་པས།  ད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་གུས་ཞབས་དང་བཀའ་སྲུང་བ་དེ་ངས་ཤེས་བྱུང་གསུངས་སོ།

He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

22:13  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གིས་ཡར་བལྟས་པ་དང་།  ཤིང་ལྡུམ་ཞིག་གི་འོག་ཏུ་ར་ཅོ་ཁོན་ཡོད་པའི་ལུག་གུ་ཞིག་མཐོང་ངོ་།  ལུག་གུ་དེ་བླངས་ནས་རང་གི་བུའི་ཚབ་ཏུ་སྦྱིན་སྲེག་གི་མཆོད་པར་ཕུལ་ལོ།

And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son

22:14  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ས་གནས་དེའི་ལ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གནང་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་མིང་བཏགས་སོ།  དེའི་ཕྱིར་དེ་རིང་གི་བར་དུ་མི་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ས་གནས་དེ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་རི་བོར་རུ་ཁོང་གིས་གནང་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་ཟེར་རོ།

So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

22:15  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཕོ་ཉས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་ནམ་མཁའ་ནས་ཡང་སྐྱར་བོས་ཏེ་གསུངས་པ།

And the angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time from heaven

22:16  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་བཞིན་ཡོད།  ངའི་མིང་གི་ནང་དམ་བཅའ་བྱེད་ཡོད།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ལས་འདི་བྱས་པ་དང་།  ཁྱོད་རང་གི་བུ་གཅིག་པུ་དེ་ང་ལས་མ་བཀག་པས་ངས་ངེས་པར་དུ་ཁྱོད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

and said, “By myself I have sworn, declares the Lord, because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son,

22:17  དེར་བརྟེན་ངས་མནའ་འདི་འཇོག་གི་ཡོད།  ནམ་མཁར་ཡོད་པའི་སྐར་མ་རྣམས་དང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་མཐའ་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་བྱེ་མ་ལྟར་ཁྱོད་ལ་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་དགྲ་བོ་རྣམས་ལ་དབང་འཛིན་བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར།

I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his enemies,

22:18  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ངའི་བཀའ་ལ་ཉན་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ངས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་པ་ལྟར།  ཁོ་ཚོ་ལའང་བྱིན་རླབས་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་ང་ལ་ཞུས་པར་འགྱུར།

and in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed my voice.”

22:19  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གཡོག་པོ་ཚོའི་རྩར་ཕྱིར་ལོག་ནས།  དེ་ཚོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་རང་གི་ས་གནས་བྷིར་ཤེ་བྷ་རུ་སོང་ནས།  དེར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གཞིས་ཆགས་སོ༎

So Abraham returned to his young men, and they arose and went together to Beersheba. And Abraham lived at Beersheba.

22:20  དུས་ཚོད་གང་ཙམ་གྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ན་ཧོར་གྱི་མནའ་མ་མིལ་ཀཱ་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་བརྒྱད་སྐྱེས་པའི་གནས་ཚུལ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རྩར་འབྱོར་བ་དང་།

Now after these things it was told to Abraham, “Behold, Milcah also has borne children to your brother Nahor:

22:21  བུ་དང་པོའི་མིང་ལ་ཨུཛ་བྱ་བ་དང་།  ཁོའི་སྤུན་བྷཛ་དང་།  ཨ་རམ་གྱི་ཕ་ཀེ་མུ་ཨེལ་དང་།

Uz his firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father of Aram,

22:22  ཀེ་སེད།  ཧ་ཛོ།  པིལ་དྷཤ།  ཡིད་ལཕ་དང་།  བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་ཞེས་པའོ།

Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel”

22:23  བྷེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་ནི་རེ་བྷེ་ཀའི་ཕ་ཡིན་ནོ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་སྤུན་ན་ཧོར་ལས་མིལ་ཀཱས་ཕྲུ་གུ་བརྒྱད་སྐྱེས་སོ།

(Bethuel fathered Rebekah.) These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother.

22:24  རུ་མཱ་ཞེས་པ་བྲན་མོ་ལས་ན་ཧོར་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ཏེ་བཱ།  གྷ་ཧམ།  ཏ་ཧཤ་དང་མ་ཀཱ་བཅས་སྐྱེས་སོ༎

Moreover, his concubine, whose name was Reumah, bore Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.
