ཤོག་དྲིལ་དང་ལུ་གུ

The Scroll and the Lamb

 

1 དེ་ནས་[ལྗཱོན་] ངས་བཞུགས་ཁྲི་དེའི་ཐོག་ལ་བཞུགས་ཡོད་པ་ཁོང་གི་ཕྱག་གཡས་པའི་ནང་ཤོག་དྲིལ་ཞིག་
མཐོང་བྱུང༌།   ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེའི་ཕྱི་ནང་གཉིས་ཀར་ལ་ཡི་གེ་བྲིས་ཡོད་པ་དང་།   དེ་ལ་ཐེལ་ཙེ་བདུན་བརྒྱབ་
འདུག

1 Then I [John] saw a scroll in the right hand of the One who was sitting on the throne. There was writing on the inside and on the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals.

 

2 དེ་ནས་ངས་ཕོ་ཉ་མཐུ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཞིག་མཐོང་པ་དང༌།   ཁོང་གིས་ “ཤོག་དྲིལ་འདིའི་ཐེལ་ཙེ་དེ་
ཚོ་གཅག་ནས་དེ་ཁ་འབྱེད་འོས་པ་སུ་ཡོད་རེད་” གསུངས་ནས་གསུང་སྐད་ཆེན་པོ་ཞིག་བསྐྱོན་སོང༌།

2 And I saw a powerful angel, and he shouted with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break open the seals on this scroll and to open it?”

 

3 ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ནམ་མཁའ་ནང་དང༌།   ཡང་ན་ས་སྟེང་དང༌།   ཡང་ན་ས་འོག་ལ་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་ཁ་འབྱེད་
པ་དང་།   ཡང་ན་དེ་ནང་ལྟ་ཐུབ་མཁན་སུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་མ་སོང་།

3 But no one in Heaven, or on earth, or under the earth, was able to open the scroll or to look inside it.

 

4 དེ་ནས་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་ཁ་འབྱེད་
ནས་དེ་ནང་ལྟ་ཐུབ་མཁན་འོས་པ་སུ་ཞིག་མེད་ཙང་།   [ལྗཱོན་] ངས་སྐད་ཤུགས་ཆེན་པོ་བརྒྱབ་ནས་ངུས་པ་
ཡིན།

4 Then I [John] wept bitterly because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll, or to look inside it.

 

5 ཡིན་ན་ཡང་དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་གཅིག་གིས་ང་ལ་ལབ་
སོང༌། “ངུ་རྒྱུ་མཚམས་འཇོག་བྱེད་རོགས།   ལྟོས་དང་། ‘ལྗུ་ཌའི་རུས་སྡེ་ནས་ཡིན་པའི་འདམ་སེང་’ ཟེར་
ནས་མཚན་ཐོགས་པ་ཁོང་ལ་ [ངན་པའི་ཐོག་]རྒྱལ་ཁ་ཐོབ་སོང་།   ཁོང་གི་མཚན་ལ་‘ཌེ་ལྦིདྲ་གི་རྩ་བ་’ ཡང་
ཞུ་གི་འདུག   །ཁོང་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་ཁ་འབྱེད་པ་དང་དེའི་ཐེལ་ཙེ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་གཅག་འོས་པ་འདུག”

5 But one of the twenty-four overseers said to me, “Stop weeping! Look! The One whose name is the ‘Lion of the tribe of Judah’ has won the victory [over evil]. He is also called the ‘Root of David’. He is worthy to open the scroll and break its seven seals.”

 

6 ངས་མིག་བལྟས་ནས་བཞུགས་
ཁྲི་དེ་དང་སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་དབར་ལ་ལུ་གུ་ [ཕོ་] ཞིག་བཞེངས་ཡོད་པ་མཇལ་བྱུང་། དེ་ལ་དོ་དམ་
པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞིས་མཐའ་བསྐོར་འདུག   །ལུ་གུ་དེ་གསོན་པོ་རེད་འདུག   །ཡིན་ན་ཡང་དེའི་རྨ་ཤུལ་དེ་ལ་
བལྟས་པ་ཡིན་ན།   དེ་དེ་སྔ་བསད་ཡིན་པ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག   །ལུ་གུ་དེ་ལ་རྭ་ཅོ་བདུན་དང་མིག་བདུན་འདུག
[མིག་དེ་ཚོ་] དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ [མཚོན་གྱི་འདུག]   དེ་ཚོ་ས་གཞི་ཕྱོགས་གང་སར་
བཏང་གནང་སོང་།

6 I looked and I saw there was a Lamb standing between the throne and the four living beings. He was surrounded by the twenty-four overseers. The Lamb was alive but from the scars on his body it appeared that he had previously been slaughtered. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes. [The eyes represent] the seven spirits of God. They are sent out into every part of the earth.

 

7 ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་མདུན་ལ་ཕེབས་ནས་བཞུགས་ཁྲི་དེའི་ཐོག་བཞུགས་ཡོད་པ་ཁོང་གི་
ཕྱག་གཡས་པ་ནས་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་བཞེས་གནང་སོང༌།

7 The Lamb came forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the One who is sitting on the throne.

 

8 ལུ་གུ་དེས་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་བཞེས་དུས་སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོས་ཁོང་གི་སྐུ་
མདུན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ [ནས་ཁོང་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་ཞུས་སོང་།]   དེ་ཚོ་རེ་རེ་ལ་རྒྱུད་མངས་རེ་རེ་ཡོད་པ་དང་།
ཁོང་ཚོས་གསེར་གྱི་ [མཆོད་པའི་] ཕོར་པ་རེ་རེ་ཁུར་འདུག   །ཕོར་པ་འདི་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་བདུག་སྤོས་ཀྱིས་ཁེངས་
ཡོད་པ་དང་།   བདུག་སྤོས་དེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་དད་པ་བྱེད་མཁན་མི་ཚང་མའི་སྨོན་ལམ་མཚོན་གྱི་འདུག

8 When the Lamb took the scroll; the four living beings and the twenty-four overseers prostrated before him [and worshipped him]. Each one had a stringed instrument, and was holding a golden [offering] bowl. These bowls were all full of incense and the incense represented the prayers of all the people who had put their faith in God.

 

9 དེ་ནས་ [སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོས་] (དེ་སྔ་རྩ་བ་ནས་བླངས་མ་མྱོང་བའི་)
གླུ་གཞས་གསར་པ་ཞིག་བླངས་སོང་།   ཁོང་ཚོས་བླངས་པའི་གླུའི་ཚིག་དེ་འདི་ཚོ་རེད་འདུག
“ཁྱེད་རང་ཤོག་དྲིལ་དེ་བླང་ནས་དེའི་ཐེལ་ཙེ་དེ་ཚོ་གཅག་ནས་ཁ་འབྱེད་འོས་པ་འདུག
།གང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ན་ཁྱེད་རང་བསད་པ་དང་།   ཁྱེད་རང་གི་ཟུང་ཁྲག་
དེས་འཛམ་བུ་གླིང་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ཀྱི་མི་ཚོ་བླུ་ཉོ་བྱས་པ་རེད།
ད་ལྟ་ (མི་རིགས་དང་ལུང་པ་མི་གཅིག་པའི་མི་ཚང་མ་) དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བདག་གི་ཡོད་རེད།

9 Then [the four living beings and the twenty-four overseers] sang a new song (that had never been sung before). These are the words they sang:
“You are worthy to take the scroll and break open its seals.
Because you were slaughtered, your life-blood has ransomed
people from all over the world. Now these people (who are
from every race and country) belong to God.

 

10 ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ [བླུ་ཉོ་བྱས་པའི་མི་ཚོ་] དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞབས་ཏོག་ཞུ་མཁན་བླ་ཆེན་གྱི་རྒྱལ་ཁམས་ཆགས་པ་
བཟོས་གནང་པ་དང་།   ཁོང་ཚོས་རྒྱལ་པོའི་ཚུལ་དུ་ས་གཞི་ཐོག་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད།”

10 You have caused [those who have been redeemed] to become a kingdom of priests to serve our God. And they will rule as kings on the earth.”

 

11 དེ་ནས་ངས་ཡང་བསྐྱར་མིག་བལྟས་པ་དང༌། ངས་བཞུགས་ཁྲི་
དེ་དང་།   སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་།   དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོ་མཐོང་བྱུང་། བཞུགས་ཁྲི་དེ་
དང་།   སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་།   དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་གྲངས་ལས་འདས་པའི་ཕོ་ཉ་མང་
པོས་མཐའ་བསྐོར་འདུག   །ཁོང་ཚོས་གླུ་ལེན་གྱི་ཡོད་པ་ [དང་ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་ལ་བསྟོད་གླུ་འབུལ་གྱི་འདུག]

11 Then I looked again and I saw that the throne, the four living beings and the twenty-four overseers were surrounded by countless numbers of angels. They were singing [and offering songs of praise to the Lamb].

 

12 དེ་ཚོས་སྐད་ཤུགས་ཆེན་པོའི་ཐོག་ནས་ “ལུ་གུ་བསད་ནས་ [ཡང་བསྐྱར་གསོན་པོ་ཆགས་པ་] ཁོང་ལ་
དབང་དང་།   རྒྱུ་ནོར། ཤེས་རབ། སྟོབས། ཆེ་མཐོང་། གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་། བསྟོད་པ་འཐོབ་
འོས་པ་འདུག་” ཟེར་ནས་གླུ་བླངས་སོང་།

12 They sang in a loud voice, “The Lamb who was slain [and is alive again] is worthy to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise.”

 

13 དེ་ནས་ངས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བཀོད་གནང་པའི་སྲོག་ཆགས་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མའི་སྐད་
ཀྱི་སྒྲ་ཐོས་བྱུང་།   དེ་ཚོ་དམ་པའི་ཞིང་ནང་དང༌ས་གཞི་སྟེང་ལ་འདུག   །དེ་ཚོ་ས་གཞི་འོག་དང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་
ནང་ལ་འདུག   །དེ་ཚོས་ “བཞུགས་ཁྲི་ཐོག་ལ་བཞུགས་ཡོད་པ་ཁོང་དང་།   ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་ལ་ཇི་སྲིད་ནས་ཇི་
སྲིད་བར་དུ་བསྟོད་པ་དང་། ཆེ་མཐོང་། གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་། དབང་འཐོབ་པར་ཤོག” ཟེར་ནས་གླུ་
བླངས་སོང་།

13 Then I heard the voices of all the living creatures that God had created. They were in Heaven, and on the earth. They were under the earth, and in the sea. They sang: “May the One who sits on the throne and the Lamb receive praise and honour; glory and power; forever and ever!”

 

14 དེ་ནས་སྲོག་ཆགས་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོས་ “ཨ་མེན་” (དེ་ག་རང་ཡོང་བར་ཤོག) ཟེར་ནས་
ལབ་སོང་།   དོ་དམ་པ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་བཞི་དེ་ཚོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་
ཞུས་སོང་།

14 And the four living beings said, “Amen.” (So be it!) And the twenty-four overseers prostrated and worshipped God and the Lamb.
