སྡེབ་ཐོན 3:7-12

གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨི་ཇིབ་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་ངའི་མི་དམངས་ཚོའི་དཀའ་ངལ་ངས་མཐོང་ཞིང་། བྲན་གཡོག་གི་དཔོན་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་ཚོར་མནར་གཅོད་བཏང་བའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་དེ་ཚོས་ངུ་འབོད་བཏོན་པ་དེ་ངས་གོ་བས། དེ་ཚོའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་ཚང་མ་ངས་ཤེས་ཀྱི་ཡོད། དེར་བརྟེན་ངས་དེ་ཚོར་ཨི་ཇིབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ལག་ནས་སྐྱབས་ཏེ་ཡུལ་དེ་ནས་བཏོན་ནས་ཡུལ་རྒྱ་ཆེ་བས་ནང་སྐྱལ་བའི་ཕྱིར་ང་སླེབས་ཡོད། ཡུལ་དེ་བཟང་པོ་དང་ས་ལུད་འཛོམས་པོ་ཡོད་པ་དང་། དེར་ད་ལྟ་ཀ་ནན་པ། ཧི་ཏི་པ། ཨ་མོར་པ། པེ་རི་ཛི་པ། ཧི་ཝི་པ་དང། ཡ་བུ་ཟི་པ་རྣམས་གནས་སྡོད་བྱེད་བཞིན་ཡོད་དོ། ད་ལྟོས་ཤིག། ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་པའི་ངུ་འབོད་ངས་ཐོས་པ་དང་། ཨི་ཇིབ་པ་ཚོས་ཁོང་ཚོའི་ཐོག་ཏུ་བྱས་པའི་བཙན་གནོན་དྲག་པོ་དེ་དག་ཀྱང་ངས་མཐོང་ཡོད་དོ། ད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ངའི་མི་འབངས་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་པ་ཚོ་ཨི་ཇིབ་ནས་འདོན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་རྒྱལ་པོའི་མདུན་དུ་གཏོང་གི་ཡིན་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

འོན་ཀྱང་མོ་ཤེས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ། ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་པ་རྣམས་ཨི་ཇིབ་ནས་ཕྱི་རོལ་དུ་འཁྲིད་གནང་མཁན་དང་། རྒྱལ་པོའི་མདུན་དུ་འགྲོ་ནུས་མཁན་ང་སུ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞུས་སོ།

ཁོང་གིས་ང་ངེས་པར་ཁྱོད་མཉམ་དུ་འགྲོགས་ཤིང་། ཁྱོད་ལ་ངས་བཏང་བའི་རྟགས་མཚན་མཚོན་ཆེད་དུ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་མི་བརྒྱུད་དེ་རྣམས་ཨི་ཇིབ་ནས་བཏོན་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཁྱོད་ཚོས་རི་བོ་འདིའི་ཁར་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱེད་ཡོང་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

Exodus 3:7-12

Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.” But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་རང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གང་ཡོད་པ་ཚང་མ་འཁྱེར་ནས་འགྲུལ་སྐྱོད་བྱེད་དོ། བྷིར་ཤེ་བྷ་རུ་བསླེབས་ཚར་ནས་ཁོང་གིས་རང་གི་ཕ་ཨི་སཱག་གི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་དམར་མཆོད་ཕུལ་ལོ། མཚན་མོའི་དུས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཞལ་གཟིགས་ཀྱི་ནང་ཡ་ཀོབ། ཡ་ཀོབ་ཞེས་འབོད་པ་དང་།

ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་ལན་དུ། ང་འདི་རུ་ཡོད་ཞུས་སོ།

དེ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོང་ལ། ང་དཀོན་མཆོག། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཡིན། ཁྱོད་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་འགྲོ་བར་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག། ངས་དེ་རུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་མི་རིགས་ཆེན་པོ་ཞིག་བཟོ་བར་བྱའོ། ང་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་འགྲོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ལ་ཡུལ་འདིར་ཕྱིར་སློག་འཁྲིད་པར་བྱའོ། ཁྱོད་ཤི་བའི་དུས་སུ་ཡོ་སེབ་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

Genesis 46:1-4

So Israel took his journey with all that he had and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac. And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.” Then he said, “I am God, the God of your father. Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make you into a great nation. I myself will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also bring you up again, and Joseph’s hand shall close your eyes.”

ཡུལ་མེ་སོ་པོ་ཊ་མི་ཡ་ནས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལོག་པའི་སྐབས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་ཞལ་མཇལ་དང་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ངོ་། དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མིང་ལ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་པས། འོན་ཀྱང་ད་ནས་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མིང་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་དུ་བསྒྱུར་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ་། དེར་བརྟེན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོའི་མིང་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ། དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ། ང་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཀུན་དབང་ཡིན་པས། ཁྱོད་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་འགྱུར་ནས་འཕེལ་ཞིག མི་རིགས་མང་པོ་ཁྱོད་ནས་འབྱུང་ཡོང་། ཁྱོད་རྒྱལ་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མེས་པོ་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར། ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་སྤྲད་པའི་ཡུལ་དེ་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་སྤྲད་དོ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡོང་བའི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ལའང་ཡུལ་འདི་སྤྲད་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངོ་། དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ས་གནས་དེ་ནས་གཤེགས་པས། དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བཀའ་མོལ་གནང་བའི་གནས་དེར་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་དྲན་རྟེན་གྱི་རྡོ་ཞིག་བསླངས་ཏེ། དེའི་སྟེང་སྐྱུ་རུའི་སྣུམ་དང་རྒུན་ཆང་སོགས་བླུགས་ནས་བསྔོ་འབུལ་བྱས་སོ། ཁོས་ས་གནས་དེའི་མིང་ལ་བྷེ་ཐེལ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ༎

Genesis 35:9-15

God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him. And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.” So he called his name Israel. And God said to him, “I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body. The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.” Then God went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him. And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a drink offering on it and poured oil on it. So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.

Study notes

  1. God changed Jacob’s name with implication to change His character and destiny
  2. Jacob unfair dealing with his brother Esau had its consequences upon Jacob’s life for a very long time to come
