བཀོད་པ 35 – Genesis 35

35:1  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ།  ད་ཁྱོད་ལམ་སང་བྷེ་ཐེལ་དུ་སོང་ནས་དེར་གནས་ཤིག།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཨ་ཇོ་ཨེ་སའོ་ནས་བྲོས་སྐབས་ཁྱོད་ལ་མངོན་པར་འགྱུར་བའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཆེད་དུ་ས་གནས་དེར་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་ཤིག་ཅེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངོ་།

God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there. Make an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

35:2  དེའི་ཚེ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་ནང་མི་དང་།  ཁོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་ཚོ་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཚོ་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱི་རྒྱལ་བའི་སྐུ་འདྲ་ཚང་མ་སྤོང་ཞིག་དང་།  གཙང་བར་འགྱུར་ནས་གོས་གཙང་མ་གྱོན་ཞིག

So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you and purify yourselves and change your garments.

35:3  ང་ཚོ་ས་གནས་འདི་སྤངས་ནས་བྷེ་ཐེལ་དུ་འགྲོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། དེར་ངས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཆེད་དུ་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  དཀོན་མཆོག་དེས་དཀའ་ངལ་གྱི་དུས་སུ་ང་ལ་རོགས་གནང་ཡོད།  ང་གང་དུ་སོང་ན་ཡང་དེར་ཁོང་ང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཞུགས་ཡོདཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Then let us arise and go up to Bethel, so that I may make there an altar to the God who answers me in the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone.”

35:4  དེ་ཚོའི་ཕྱི་པའི་ལྷ་རྣམས་དང་དེ་ཚོས་རང་གི་ཨམ་ལྕོག་ལ་བཏགས་པའི་ཨ་ལོང་རྣམས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་སྤྲད་དོ།  ཁོས་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱི་ཉེ་འགྲམ་དུ་བེ་ཤིང་ཞིག་གི་འོག་ཏུ་སྦས་སོ།

So they gave to Jacob all the foreign gods that they had, and the rings that were in their ears. Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree that was near Shechem.

35:5  ཡ་ཀོབ་དང་ཁོའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཚང་མ་ས་གནས་དེ་ནས་ཐོན་སྐབས་ཉེ་འཁོར་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་མི་མང་ཚང་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིང་དེ་ཚོས་ཁོང་ལ་རྗེས་དེད་མ་བྱས་སོ།

And as they journeyed, a terror from God fell upon the cities that were around them, so that they did not pursue the sons of Jacob.

35:6  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཁོ་རང་གི་མི་ཚོ་ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ལུཛ་ཡང་ན་ད་ལྟ་བྷེ་ཐེལ་ཞེས་པ་ཞིག་ནང་བསླེབས་སོ།

And Jacob came to Luz (that is, Bethel), which is in the land of Canaan, he and all the people who were with him,

35:7  ས་གནས་དེར་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་པ་དང་།  ཁོས་ས་གནས་དེའི་མིང་ལ་ཨེལ་བེ་ཐེལ་ཞེས་མིང་བཏགས་སོ།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  ས་གནས་དེརཁོ་ཨ་ཇོ་ནས་བྲོས་སྐབས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་མངོན་པར་གནང་བའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཡིན་ནོ།

and there he built an altar and called the place El-bethel, because there God had revealed himself to him when he fled from his brother.

35:8  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་ཆུང་དུས་ནས་ལྟ་སྐྱོང་བྱ་མཁན་བྲན་གཡོག་མོ་དྷེ་བོ་རཱ་བྱ་བ་གྲོངས་ནས།  མོ་ལ་བྷེ་ཐེལ་གྱི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བེ་ཤིང་གི་འོག་ཏུ་སྦས་སོ། དེར་བརྟེན་ས་གནས་དེ་ལ་མྱ་ངན་གྱི་བེ་ཤིང་ཞེས་མིང་བཏགས་སོ།

And Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died, and she was buried under an oak below Bethel. So he called its name Allon-bacuth.

35:9  ཡུལ་མེ་སོ་པོ་ཊ་མི་ཡ་ནས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལོག་པའི་སྐབས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་ཞལ་མཇལ་དང་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ངོ་།

God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Paddan-aram, and blessed him.

35:10  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མིང་ལ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་པས།  འོན་ཀྱང་ད་ནས་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མིང་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་དུ་བསྒྱུར་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ་།  དེར་བརྟེན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོའི་མིང་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; no longer shall your name be called Jacob, but Israel shall be your name.” So he called his name Israel.

35:11  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ།  ང་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཀུན་དབང་ཡིན་པས།  ཁྱོད་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་འགྱུར་ནས་འཕེལ་ཞིག  མི་རིགས་མང་པོ་ཁྱོད་ནས་འབྱུང་ཡོང་།  ཁྱོད་རྒྱལ་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མེས་པོ་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།

And God said to him, “I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, and kings shall come from your own body.

35:12  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་སྤྲད་པའི་ཡུལ་དེ་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་སྤྲད་དོ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡོང་བའི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ལའང་ཡུལ་འདི་སྤྲད་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངོ་།

The land that I gave to Abraham and Isaac I will give to you, and I will give the land to your offspring after you.”

35:13  དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ས་གནས་དེ་ནས་གཤེགས་པས།

Then God went up from him in the place where he had spoken with him.

35:14  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བཀའ་མོལ་གནང་བའི་གནས་དེར་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་དྲན་རྟེན་གྱི་རྡོ་ཞིག་བསླངས་ཏེ།  དེའི་སྟེང་སྐྱུ་རུའི་སྣུམ་དང་རྒུན་ཆང་སོགས་བླུགས་ནས་བསྔོ་འབུལ་བྱས་སོ།

And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he had spoken with him, a pillar of stone. He poured out a drink offering on it and poured oil on it.

35:15  ཁོས་ས་གནས་དེའི་མིང་ལ་བྷེ་ཐེལ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ༎

So Jacob called the name of the place where God had spoken with him Bethel.

35:16  ཡ་ཀོབ་དང་ཁོའི་ནང་མི་དང་བཅས་པ་བྷེ་ཐེལ་ནས་ཐོན་ཞིང་།  ཡུལ་ཨེཕ་རད་ལ་སླེབས་པར་ད་དུང་འགྲོ་དགོས་བས།  ར་ཧེལ་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་སྐྱེ་བའི་དུས་རན་ནོ།  འོན་ཀྱང་མོ་ལ་དཀའ་ངལ་བྱུང་བཞིན་ཡོད་དོ།

Then they journeyed from Bethel. When they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel went into labor, and she had hard labor.

35:17  མོ་ལ་དཀའ་ངལ་མང་པོ་བྱུང་བའི་སྐབས་སུ།  སྐྱེ་རོགས་མ་དེས་མོ་ལ།  ཁྱེད་རང་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག།  ཁྱོད་ལ་བུ་གཞན་ཞིག་ཀྱང་སྐྱེས་སོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

And when her labor was at its hardest, the midwife said to her, “Do not fear, for you have another son.”

35:18  འོོན་ཀྱང་མོ་རང་ཤི་འགྲོ་ཡོད་པས།  མ་ཤི་བའི་སྔོན་ལ་བུ་དེའི་མིང་བྷེ་ནོ་ནིབཏགས་སོ།  འོན་ཀྱང་ཕས།  ཁོའི་མིང་བྷེན་ཡ་མིན་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

And as her soul was departing (for she was dying), she called his name Ben-oni; but his father called him Benjamin.

35:19  ར་ཧེལ་གྲོངས་སོ།  མོའི་ཕུང་པོ་ཡུལ་ཨེཕ་རད་འགྲོ་བའི་ལམ་གྱི་འགྲམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་དུར་སར་བཅུག་པ་དང་།  ས་གནས་དེ་ལ་བྷེད་ལེ་ཧེམ་ཟེར་རོ།

So Rachel died, and she was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem),

35:20  དེར་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་དྲན་རྟེན་གྱི་རྡོ་ཞིག་བསླངས་པ་དང་།  ས་གནས་དེ་ནི་དེ་རིང་གི་བར་དུ་ར་ཧེལ་གྱི་དུར་སར་ཞེས་བརྗོད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ།

and Jacob set up a pillar over her tomb. It is the pillar of Rachel’s tomb, which is there to this day.

35:21  ཡ་ཀོབ་ས་གནས་དེ་ནས་སོང་སྟེ།  ཨེ་དྷེར་བྱ་བའི་མཁར་རྫོང་གི་ཕར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་ཁོས་རང་གི་གུར་སྤུབས་སོ༎

Israel journeyed on and pitched his tent beyond the tower of Eder.

35:22  ཡ་ཀོབ་ས་གནས་དེར་གནས་པའི་དུས་སུ་ཁོང་གི་བུ་རུ་བྷེན་གྱིས་ཕའི་ཟུར་གྲོགས་མ་བྷིལ་ཧཱ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཉལ་བ་དང་།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་དེ་ཐོས་ཏེ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཁྲོས་སོ།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་བུ་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཡོད་དོ།

While Israel lived in that land, Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine. And Israel heard of it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve.

35:23  ལེ་ཨ་ལས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་རྣམས་ནི།  རུ་བྷེན།  སིམ་ཨོན།  ལེ་ཝི།  ཡ་ཧུ་དཱ།  ཨི་ས་ཀར་དང་ཛེ་བུ་ལུན་དང་།  རུ་བྷེན་ནི་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་རྒན་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

The sons of Leah: Reuben (Jacob’s firstborn), Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

35:24  ར་ཧེལ་ལས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་གཉིས་ནི།  ཡོ་སེབ་དང་བྷེན་ཡ་མིན་ཡིན་ནོ།

The sons of Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.

35:25  ར་ཧེལ་གྱི་བྲན་མོ་བྷིལ་ཧཱ་ནས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་གཉིས་ནི།  དཱན་དང་ནཕ་ཏ་ལི་ཡིན་ནོ།

The sons of Bilhah, Rachel’s servant: Dan and Naphtali.

35:26  ལེ་ཨའི་བྲན་མོ་ཛིལ་པཱ་ལས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་གཉིས་ནི་གྷཌ་དང་ཨ་ཤེར་རོ།  བུ་འདི་ཚོ་ནི་ཡུལ་མེ་སོ་པོ་ཊ་མི་ཡ་རུ་ཡོད་སྐབས་སྐྱེས་པའོ༎

The sons of Zilpah, Leah’s servant: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob who were born to him in Paddan-aram.

35:27  ཧེབ་རོན་གྱི་ཉེས་འགྲམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་ཨི་སཱག་གནས་སྡོད་བྱེད་པའི་ས་གནས་མམ་རེ་བྱ་བར་ཕ་ཨི་སཱག་དེར་བཞུགས་ཡོད་པས།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཁོང་ལ་འཕྲད་དུ་སོང་ངོ་།

And Jacob came to his father Isaac at Mamre, or Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had sojourned.

35:28  ཨི་སཱག་ལོ་  ༡༨༠  བར་དུ་གསོན་པ་དང་།

Now the days of Isaac were 180 years.

35:29  ལོ་ཆ་ཚང་ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ། ཁོང་གི་བུ་ཨེ་སའོ་དང་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་ཕ་དུར་དུ་སྦས་སོ༎

And Isaac breathed his last, and he died and was gathered to his people, old and full of days. And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.

བཀོད་པ 34 – Genesis 34

34:1  ཉིན་གཅིག་ཡ་ཀོབ་དང་ལེ་ཨའི་བུ་མོ་དྷི་ནཱ་ཀ་ནན་པའི་བུད་མེད་འགའ་ཞིག་ཐུག་པར་སོང་བས།

Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the women of the land.

34:2  ཧི་ཝི་པ་ཧ་མོར་ཞེས་པའི་བུ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་ཡུལ་དེའི་འགོ་པ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  ཁོས་དཱི་ན་ལ་མཐོང་བ་དང་མོ་འཁྱེར་ནས་མོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཙན་གཡེམ་བྱེད་དོ།

And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he seized her and lay with her and humiliated her.

34:3  འོན་ཀྱང་དཱི་ན་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཛེས་མོ་ཡོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁོས་མོ་ལ་སེམས་ཤོར་ནས།  ཁོས་མོའི་བྱམས་པ་ཐབ་པར་ཐབས་ཤེས་བྱས་སོ།

And his soul was drawn to Dinah the daughter of Jacob. He loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her.

34:4  ཁོས་རང་གི་ཕ་ལ།  བུ་མོ་དེ་ངའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་པར་འཁྱེར་ཡོང་རོགས་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

So Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, “Get me this girl for my wife.”

34:5  དཱི་ན་ལ་བཙན་གཡེམ་བྱེད་པའི་སྐོར་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་ཐོས་སོ།  འོན་ཀྱང་ཁོའི་བུ་རྣམས་བ་ཕྱུགས་འཚོ་བར་ཐག་རིང་ཐང་དུ་སོང་ཡོད་པས།  དེ་ཚོ་ཕྱིར་མ་ཡོང་བར་དུ་ཁོས་གང་ཡང་མ་བྱས་སོ།

Now Jacob heard that he had defiled his daughter Dinah. But his sons were with his livestock in the field, so Jacob held his peace until they came.

34:6  ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱི་ཕ་ཧ་མོར་ཡ་ཀོབ་དང་གྲོས་བྱེད་ཕྱིར་སོང་བའི་སྐབས་སུ།

And Hamor the father of Shechem went out to Jacob to speak with him.

34:7  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་ཚོ་ཡང་ཐང་ནས་ཡོང་བཞིན་ཡོད་པ་དང་། གཏམ་དེ་ཐོས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་ཧོན་འཐོར་ནས།  ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས་འདི་ལྟར་ལས་བྱས་པར་ཧ་ཅང་ཁྲོས་ཤིང་།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་མོའི་ཐོག་ཏུ་བཙན་གཡེམ་བྱེད་པའི་སྒོ་ནས།  ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་གྱི་མི་རྣམས་ལ་སྨད་ར་བཏང་ཡོད་དོ།

The sons of Jacob had come in from the field as soon as they heard of it, and the men were indignant and very angry, because he had done an outrageous thing in Israel by lying with Jacob’s daughter, for such a thing must not be done.

34:8  ཧ་མོར་གྱིས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་།  ངའི་བུ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་ལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བྱམས་པས་མོ་དང་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་བཅུག་རོགས་གནང་།

But Hamor spoke with them, saying, “The soul of my son Shechem longs for your daughter. Please give her to him to be his wife.

34:9  ཁྱེད་ཚོ་དང་ང་ཚོའི་མི་རིགས་ཀྱི་བར་ལ་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་པར་ཁ་ཆད་བྱའོ།  ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་བུ་མོ་ང་ཚོར་སྤྲོད་རོགས་གནང་།  ང་ཚོའི་བུ་མོ་ཁྱེད་ཚོས་བཞེས་རོགས་གནང་།

Make marriages with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves.

34:10  དེ་ནས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ང་ཚོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ང་ཚོའི་ཡུལ་དུ་གཞི་ཆགས་ནས་གཞུགས་རོགས་གནང་།  ག་རུ་ཐུགས་འདོད་ཡོད་སར་དེར་ཞུགས་ཐུབ།  རང་དབང་གི་ཐོག་ནས་ཚོང་རྒྱབ་ཏེ་རྒྱུ་ནོར་གསོག་རོགས་གནང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

You shall dwell with us, and the land shall be open to you. Dwell and trade in it, and get property in it.”

34:11  དེ་ནས་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས་དྷི་ནཱའི་ཕ་དང་སྤུན་རྣམས་ལ།  ང་ལ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་གཟིགས་རོགས་གནང་།  ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་གང་དགོས་པ་ཚང་མ་འབུལ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

Shechem also said to her father and to her brothers, “Let me find favor in your eyes, and whatever you say to me I will give.

34:12  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་པར་རིན་པ་གང་དགོས་པ་དང་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་ཕྱག་རྟགས་གང་དགོས་པ་དེ་ངས་འབུལ་ཐུབ།  གལ་སྲིད་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་བུ་མོ་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་བཅུག་ན་ཁྱེད་ལ་གང་དགོས་པ་འབུལ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Ask me for as great a bride-price and gift as you will, and I will give whatever you say to me. Only give me the young woman to be my wife.”

34:13  ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས།  དྷི་ནཱ་ལ་བཙན་གཡེམ་བྱེད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁོ་དང་ཁོའི་ཕ་ཧ་མོར་ལ་སླུ་འཁྲི་བྱས་ནས་ལན་རྒྱབ་བོ།

The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and his father Hamor deceitfully, because he had defiled their sister Dinah.

34:14  དེ་ཚོས་ཁོ་ལ།  ང་ཚོའི་སྲིང་མོ་མདུན་ལྤགས་མ་འབྲེག་པའི་མི་ལ་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་པར་སྤྲད་མི་ཐུབ།  དེས་ང་ཚོ་སྨད་དགོས་འབྱུང་ཡོང་།

They said to them, “We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised, for that would be a disgrace to us.

34:15  ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྐྱེ་པ་ཕོ་ཚང་མ་ང་ཚོ་ལྟར་མདུན་ལྤགས་འབྲེག་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ང་ཚོ་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་དང་མོས་མཐུན་བྱེད་ཐུབ་ཡོང་།

Only on this condition will we agree with you—that you will become as we are by every male among you being circumcised.

34:16  ང་ཚོ་དང་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་བར་ལ་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་ཐུབ་ཡོང་།  དེ་ནས་ང་ཚོ་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ཁྲོད་དུ་གནས་ཏེ་མི་རིགས་གཅིག་ཏུ་འགྱུར་རོ།

Then we will give our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to ourselves, and we will dwell with you and become one people.

34:17  འོན་ཀྱང་ཁྱོད་ཚོས་མདུན་ལྤགས་འབྲེག་པར་མི་དགའ་ན་ང་ཚོས་སྲིང་མོ་འཁྲིད་དེ་ས་གནས་འདི་ནས་འགྲོ་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our daughter, and we will be gone.”

34:18  ཧ་མོར་དང་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གཉིས་ཀར་དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་པ་ལ་དགའ་བ་དང་།

Their words pleased Hamor and Hamor’s son Shechem.

34:19  ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས་དཱི་ན་ལ་བྱམས་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁོས་ལས་འདི་བྱས་པར་འགོར་པོ་མ་བྱས་སོ།  ཚང་མའི་ནང་ནས་ཁོ་གཙོ་བོ་ཡིན་ནོ།

And the young man did not delay to do the thing, because he delighted in Jacob’s daughter. Now he was the most honored of all his father’s house.

34:20  ཧ་མོར་དང་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གཉིས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་རྒྱལ་སྒོར་སོང་ནས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་མི་རྣམས་ལ།

So Hamor and his son Shechem came to the gate of their city and spoke to the men of their city, saying,

34:21  མི་འདི་ཚོ་ང་ཚོ་དང་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཐུན་པས།  ཁོང་ཚོ་ངེད་རྣམས་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གནས་ཏེ་ཕར་ཚུར་ཚོང་བྱེད་དུ་འགྲོ་རུ་བཅུག་གོ  ང་ཚོའི་ཡུལ་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡོད་པ་དང་ཁོང་ཚོ་བསྡད་ན་སྐྱོན་  གང་ཡང་མི་བྱུང་བས།  ངེད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཁོང་ཚོའི་བུ་མོ་རྣམས་དང་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་ནས་ང་ཚོའི་བུ་མོ་ཁོང་ཚོར་མནའ་མར་སྤྲད་ཐུབ་བོ།

“These men are at peace with us; let them dwell in the land and trade in it, for behold, the land is large enough for them. Let us take their daughters as wives, and let us give them our daughters.

34:22  ང་ཚོ་ཁོང་ཚོ་ལྟར་མདུན་ལྤགས་འབྲེག་ན་ཁོང་ཚོ་ང་ཚོའི་ཁྲོད་དུ་མི་རིགས་གཅིག་ལྟར་གནས་པའི་མོས་མཐུན་བྱེད་ཐུབ་བོ།

Only on this condition will the men agree to dwell with us to become one people—when every male among us is circumcised as they are circumcised.

34:23  གལ་ཏེ་ང་ཚོས་འདི་ལྟར་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན་ཁོང་ཚོའི་ཕྱུགས་དང་རྒུ་ནོར་ཚང་མ་ང་ཚོའི་ཡིན་པར་འགྱུར།  དེར་བརྟེན་ཁོང་ཚོས་གང་སྨྲས་པ་ལྟར་ང་ཚོས་མོས་མཐུན་བྱས་ནས་ཁོང་ཚོ་ང་ཚོའི་ཁྲོད་དུ་གནས་ཐུབ་བོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Will not their livestock, their property and all their beasts be ours? Only let us agree with them, and they will dwell with us.”

34:24  ཧ་མོར་དང་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱིས་གང་སྨྲས་པ་ལྟར་ཡུལ་མི་ཚང་མས་ཉན་ནས།  ཕོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་འབྲེགས་སོ།

And all who went out of the gate of his city listened to Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male was circumcised, all who went out of the gate of his city.

34:25  ཉིན་གསུམ་གྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡུལ་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་འབྲེག་པའི་རྨ་དེ་དྲག་མེད་པའི་སྐབས་སུ།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་སིམ་ཨོན་དང་ལེ་ཝི་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་རལ་གྲི་འཁུར་ནས་གསང་བར་སོང་ནས་ཡུལ་མི་རྣམས་ལ་བསད་དོ།  ཁོ་གཉིས་ནི་དྷི་ནཱའི་ཨ་ཇོ་རྒན་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

On the third day, when they were sore, two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah’s brothers, took their swords and came against the city while it felt secure and killed all the males.

34:26  ཁོ་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་ཧ་མོར་དང་ཁོའི་བུ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་ལ་ཡང་བསད་དོ། དེ་ནས་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱི་ནང་ནས་དྷི་ནཱ་འཁྲིད་ནས་སོང་ངོ་།

They killed Hamor and his son Shechem with the sword and took Dinah out of Shechem’s house and went away.

34:27  ཡུལ་མི་རྣམས་བསད་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱི་བུ་གཞན་ཚོས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་བཅོམ་པ་དང་རང་གི་སྲིང་མོར་བཙན་གཡེམ་བྱས་པའི་ཚབ་ཏུ་དགྲ་ཤ་ལེན་ནོ།

The sons of Jacob came upon the slain and plundered the city, because they had defiled their sister.

34:28  དེ་ཚོས་ར་ལུག་གི་ཁྱུ་དང་བ་གླང་དང་བོང་བུ་དང་།  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དང་ཞིང་ནང་ཡོད་པ་ཚང་མ་འཁྱེར་རོ།

They took their flocks and their herds, their donkeys, and whatever was in the city and in the field.

34:29  རིན་ཐང་ཅན་གྱི་དངོས་པོ་དང་བུད་མེད་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་དང་ཁང་པའི་ནང་གང་ཡོད་པ་ཚང་མ་འཕྲོག་ནས་འཁྱེར་རོ།

All their wealth, all their little ones and their wives, all that was in the houses, they captured and plundered.

34:30  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་བུ་སིམ་ཨོན་དང་ལེ་ཝི་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཚོས་བྱས་པའི་ལས་ཀ་འདིའི་སྒོ་ནས་ད་ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་པའི་མི་རྣམས་དང། པེ་རི་ཛེ་པ་དང་།  ཡུལ་མི་ཚང་མས་ང་ལ་སྡང་བར་འགྱུར།  གལ་ཏེ་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཚང་མས་རུབ་ནས་ང་ལ་བཙན་རྒོལ་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ང་ལ་མི་མང་པོ་མེད་པས།  ང་ཚོའི་ནང་མི་རྣམས་མེད་པར་ཆགས་པར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, “You have brought trouble on me by making me stink to the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites and the Perizzites. My numbers are few, and if they gather themselves against me and attack me, I shall be destroyed, both I and my household.”

34:31  འོན་ཀྱང་ཁོང་ཚོས་ལན་དུ།  སྨད་འཚོང་མ་ལྟར་ང་ཚོའི་སྲིང་མོ་ལ་དེ་ལྟར་སྤྱོད་པ་བྱེད་མི་ཆོག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ༎

But they said, “Should he treat our sister like a prostitute?”

བཀོད་པ 33 – Genesis 33

33:1  ཨེ་སའོ་རང་གི་མི་  ༤༠༠  དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོང་བཞིན་པ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་མཐོང་ནས།  ལེ་ཨ་དང་ར་ཧེལ་དང་བྲན་མོ་ཟུར་གྲོགས་མ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་བར་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཚོ་སོ་སོར་བགོས་སོ།

And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, Esau was coming, and four hundred men with him. So he divided the children among Leah and Rachel and the two female servants.

33:2  ཁོས་ཟུར་གྲོགས་མ་གཉིས་དང་དེ་ཚོའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་ཚང་མའི་མདུན་དུ་བཞག་གོ།  དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་ལེ་ཨ་དང་མོའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་བཞག་གོ མཐའ་མར་ར་ཧེལ་དང་ཡོ་སེབ་བཞག་གོ།

And he put the servants with their children in front, then Leah with her children, and Rachel and Joseph last of all.

33:3  དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མའི་མདུན་དུ་ཡ་ཀོབ་སོང་ཞིང་།  ཁོའི་ཨ་ཇོའི་རྩར་སླེབས་དུས་ས་ལ་རེག་ནས་ལན་བདུན་ཕྱག་ཕུལ་ལོ།

He himself went on before them, bowing himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

33:4  འོན་ཀྱང་ཨེ་སའོས་རྒྱུགས་ཤིང་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་འཕྲད་དོ།  ཁོས་སྐེ་ལ་འཁྱུད་དེ་ཁ་སྐྱེལ་ལོ།  ཁོང་གཉིས་ཀ་ངུབཞིན་ཡོད་དོ།

But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.

33:5  དེ་ནས་ཨེ་སའོས་བུད་མེད་ཚོ་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཚོ་ལ་བལྟས་ནས། ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་འདི་ཚོ་སུ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  འདི་ཚོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་སྒོ་ནས་ང་ལ་གནང་བའི་ངའི་ཆུང་མ་རྣམས་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

And when Esau lifted up his eyes and saw the women and children, he said, “Who are these with you?” Jacob said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”

33:6  དེ་ནས་ཟུར་གྲོགས་མ་རྣམས་དང་ཁོ་ཚོའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་ཡོང་ནས་ཨེ་སའོ་ལ་ཕྱག་འབུལ་ལོ།

Then the servants drew near, they and their children, and bowed down.

33:7  དེའི་རྗེས་ལེ་ཨ་དང་མོའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་དང་བཅས་ཡོང་བ་དང་། མཐའ་མར་ར་ཧེལ་དང་ཡོ་སེབ་ཡོང་ནས་ཕྱག་འབུལ་ལོ།

Leah likewise and her children drew near and bowed down. And last Joseph and Rachel drew near, and they bowed down.

33:8  ཨེ་སའོས་ཁོ་ལ།  ངས་ལམ་དུ་སྔོན་ལ་འཕྲད་པའི་མི་རྣམས་དང་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་ཚོ་ཁག་དེ་ཚོའི་དོན་གང་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།  ལན་དུ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  དེ་ཚོ་ནི་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ང་ལ་ཐོབ་པའི་ཕྱིར་དེ་ལྟར་བྱེད་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company that I met?” Jacob answered, “To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

33:9  འོན་ཀྱང་ཨེ་སའོས།  ངའི་སྤུན་ང་ལ་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་མི་དགོས། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ནོར་དེ་ཁྱོད་རང་ཞོག་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

But Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself.”

33:10  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ངས་ཐོབ་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ཕྱག་རྟགས་རྣམས་བཞེས་པར་མཛོད།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་ལ་འདི་ལྟར་ ཐུགས་རྗེས་ཆེན་པོ་གནང་ཡོད།  ཁྱེད་ལ་མཇལ་ཐུབ་པ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞལ་ངོ་མཇལ་བ་དང་འདྲའོ།

Jacob said, “No, please, if I have found favor in your sight, then accept my present from my hand. For I have seen your face, which is like seeing the face of God, and you have accepted me.

33:11  ངས་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཕྱིར་འཁྱེར་ཡོང་བའི་ཕྱག་རྟགས་འདི་ཚོ་བཞེས་ཤིག  དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་དྲིན་གྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ང་ལ་གང་དགོས་པ་ཚང་མ་ཁོང་གི་གནང་ཡོད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ།  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་ཨུ་ཚུགས་ནན་ཏན་བྱས་པས་ཨེ་སའོས་ཕྱག་རྟགས་དེ་ཚོ་བཞེས་སོ།

Please accept my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” Thus he urged him, and he took it.

33:12  ཨེ་སའོས་ཁོ་ལ།  ད་ང་ཚོ་འགྲོ་བའི་གྲ་སྒིགས་བྱེད་དགོས་པས།  ང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྔོན་དུ་འགྲོ་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

Then Esau said, “Let us journey on our way, and I will go ahead of you.”

33:13  ལན་དུ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་མཁྱེན་གསལ་ལྟར་ངའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་སྐྱོ་པོ་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ངས་བ་གླང་དང་ར་ལུག་དང་དེའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཚོ་ལའང་འཚོ་སྐྱོང་བྱེད་དགོས།  དེ་ཚོ་ལ་ཉིན་གཅིག་རང་ལ་ཞེ་དྲགས་འརྒྱུག་བཅུག་པ་ཡིན་ན་ཁྱུ་ཚང་མ་ཤི་བར་འགྱུར།

But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are frail, and that the nursing flocks and herds are a care to me. If they are driven hard for one day, all the flocks will die.

33:14  དེའི་ཕྱིར་ཁྱེད་ངའི་སྔོན་ལ་ཕེབས་ཤིག་དང་ང་ཚོ་ག་ལེར་རྗེས་ལ་སླེབས་ཡོང་།  ཟོག་སེམས་ཅན་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གང་མགྱོགས་འགྲོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  ཡུལ་ཨེ་དྷོམ་དུ་ཁྱེད་དང་འཕྲད་ཡོང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པས།

Let my lord pass on ahead of his servant, and I will lead on slowly, at the pace of the livestock that are ahead of me and at the pace of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir.”

33:15  ཨེ་སའོས་ཁོ་ལ།  འོ་ན་ངས་ངའི་མི་འགའ་ཤས་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཞག་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པས།  ལན་དུ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་གཟིགས་པ་ལས་ལྷག་པ་ང་ལ་གང་ཡང་མི་དགོས་ཞུས་སོ།

So Esau said, “Let me leave with you some of the people who are with me.” But he said, “What need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”

33:16  ཉིན་དེར་ཨེ་སའོ་ཡུལ་ཨེ་དྷོམ་དུ་ཕྱིར་ལོག་སོང་ངོ་།

So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.

33:17  འོན་ཀྱང་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཡུལ་སུ་ཀོད་ལ་སོང་ནས་དེར་རང་གི་ཆེད་དུ་ཁང་པ་ཞིག་དང་རང་གི་ཁྱུའི་ཕྱིར་རྩ་ཁང་རྣམས་བཟོས་སོ།  དེའི་ཕྱིར་ས་གནས་དེའི་མིང་སུ་ཀོད་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

But Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built himself a house and made booths for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

33:18  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཡུལ་མེ་སོ་པོ་ཊ་མི་ཡ་ནས་ལོག་པའི་རྗེས་སུ།  ཀ་ནན་ཡུལ་གྱི་ཤེ་ཀེམ་ཞེས་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་བདེ་བར་འབྱོར་ནས།  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་ཉེ་འགྲམ་གྱི་ཐང་དུ་སྒར་བཏབ་ནས་བསྡད་དོ།

And Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, on his way from Paddan-aram, and he camped before the city.

33:19  སྒར་བཏབ་པའི་ས་ཞིང་དེ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་གྱི་ཕ་ཧ་མོར་གྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནས་དངུལ་སྲང་  ༡༠༠  ལ་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་ཉོས་སོ།

And from the sons of Hamor, Shechem’s father, he bought for a hundred pieces of money[e] the piece of land on which he had pitched his tent.

33:20  ཁོས་ས་གནས་དེར་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་ནས་དེ་མིང་ལ་ཨེལ་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་གྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་བཏགས་སོ༎

There he erected an altar and called it El-Elohe-Israel.
