(པེ་ཏྲོ། ༡ 2:13-17)

ཁྱེད་ཚོས་གཙོ་བོའི་དོན་དུ་སྲིད་འཛིན་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བཀུར་དགོས་ཏེ། དབང་ཆ་མཐོ་ཤོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་པོའམ། ཡང་ན་ཁོང་གིས་མངགས་པའི་སྤྱི་ཁྱབ་རྣམས་ལ་བཀུར་དགོས། སྤྱི་ཁྱབ་རྣམས་མངགས་པའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ནི་ངན་པ་བྱེད་མཁན་རྣམས་ལ་ཆད་པ་གཏོང་ཞིང༌། ལེགས་སྤྱོད་མཁན་ལ་བསྟོད་པ་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ།

གང་ལགས་ཤེ་ན། ཁྱེད་ཚོས་བཟང་པོ་བྱེད་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་བླུན་པོའི་གཏམ་འགོག་རྒྱུ་དེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་དགོངས་ཡིན།

ཁྱེད་ཚོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ཡིན་ཏེ་རང་དབང་ལྡན་པ་ལྟར་མི་ཚེ་སྐྱེལ། འོན་ཀྱང་རང་དབང་ལ་ཁ་གཡར་ཏེ་ངན་པའི་ལས་མ་བྱེད།

མི་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བཀུར་སྟི་བྱོས། སྤུན་ཟླ་རྣམས་ལ་བྱམས་ཤིག དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱེད་ཅིང༌། རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་བཀུར་སྟི་བྱོས།

 

(1 Peter 2:13-17)

Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor[c] as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants[d] of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

 

 

                             As God’s People be Submissive to Government Authorities

As Tibetans away from your homeland you may be seen as aliens in a foreign country; but as believers you are also like foreigners on earth, because your new homeland is heaven.

Then how to lead our lives?

Peter says, ‘You are free. (Our sin has been cleared by Jesus; we are set free from the need to earn merit; we are free from expectations of earthly cultures) Yet, for Jesus’ sake and as God’s servants, do what is right, give the proper kind of respect to everyone including the highest authority, love other believers, fear God.’

(པེ་ཏྲོ། ༡ 2:18-25)

བྲན་གཡོག་རྣམས། སོ་སོའི་བདག་པོ་ལ་བཀུར་སྟི་ཆེན་པོས་ཁ་ལ་ཉན་དགོས། སེམས་བཟང་པོ་དང་འཇམ་པོ་ཁོ་ན་ལ་མ་ཡིན་པར། དྲག་པོ་རྣམས་ལའང་འདི་ལྟར་བྱེད་དགོས།

རྒྱུ་མཚན་ནི། གལ་ཏེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྐོར་བསམ་བློ་བཏང་ནས་མི་འོས་པའི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་བཟོད་པར་བྱས་ན། དེ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བསྟོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

སྡིག་ལས་བྱས་པས་ཉེས་རྡུང་བཟོད་ན་བསྟོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་ཅི་ཡིན།འོན་ཀྱང་བཟང་པོ་བྱས་ནས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་བྱུང་བ་བཟོད་ན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྤྱན་སྔར་བསྟོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

 ཁྱེད་ཚོ་དོན་འདི་རང་ལ་བོས་པ་ཡིན། གང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ན། མཱ་ཤི་ཀའི་རྗེས་སུ་འབྲང་བའི་ཕྱིར། ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་དོན་ལ་སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ལ་མིག་དཔེ་ཞིག་བཞག་པར་མཛད།

ཁོང་གིས་སྡིག་ཉེས་ཅི་ཡང་མ་མཛད་ཅིང༌།།  ཞལ་ནས་སླུ་བྲིད་མགོ་སྐོར་གཏམ་མ་གསུངས།།

མཱ་ཤི་ཀར་དམའ་འབེབས་གཏོང་མཁན་རྣམས་ལ་ལན་སློག་པར་མ་མཛད།སྡུག་བསྔལ་མྱོང་སྐབས་ཁོང་གིས་འཇིགས་སྣང་མ་སྐུལ་བར་དྲང་བདེན་གྱིས་ཁྲིམས་གཅོད་གཏོང་མཁན་ལ་བཅོལ།

ངེད་རྣམས་སྡིག་ཉེས་ཀྱི་ཆ་ནས་ཤི་ཞིང༌། དྲང་བདེན་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དོན་ལ་འཚོ་བའི་ཕྱིར། ཁོང་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་རྒྱང་ཤིང་སྟེང་ང་ཚོའི་སྡིག་ཉེས་ཀྱི་ཆད་པ་རང་གི་སྐུ་ལུས་ཐོག་མྱངས། ཁོང་གི་རྨ་ཡིས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་སོས་པར་གྱུར་རོ།

སྔར་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ལུག་ལྟར་ཁྱམས་ཀྱང༌། ད་ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་སེམས་སྲུང་མཁན་གྱི་རྫི་བོའི་དྲུང་དུ་ཕྱིར་ལོག་གོ།

 

 

(1 Peter 2:18-25)

Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust. For this is a gracious thing, when, mindful of God, one endures sorrows while suffering unjustly. For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God. For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth. When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly. He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

 

 

                                         As Wage-earners Do Your Work Well

As house servants, office workers or laborers, you may have to suffer long hours, hard work, poor wages and harsh employers. But, if so, Peter urges you to be submissive to your masters, just as to Government authorities (see verses 13 to 17).

Why so? It is God’s will for you, if necessary, to suffer patiently remembering the way in which Christ suffered for you.

When the Pure One was hanging and bleeding in silence on the cross, he was enduring all our pains, all the suffering of our samsara (‘khor.wa). He was taking our place. It was to heal us; and it was to rescue us from being shut out and lost for ever, bringing us home – like sheep – to the safety of his ‘sheepfold’.

(པེ་ཏྲོ། ༡ 3:1-7)

དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ཁྱེད་ཆུང་མ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྱོ་གའི་དབང་ཆ་དང་ལེན་བྱེད་དགོས། དེ་ནི་ཁྱོ་གའི་ནང་ནས་ཁ་ཤས་ཀྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ལ་མ་ཉན་ཡང༌། ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་སྤྱོད་ལམ་ལྷད་མེད་ཅིང་བག་ཡོད་པ་མཐོང་ནས། ཤོད་མི་དགོས་པར་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་སྤྱོད་ལམ་བཟང་པོས་འགུགས་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཡིན་ནོ།

མཛེས་སྡུག་ལྡན་པའི་ཕྱིར་མགོའི་སྐྲ་ལྷས་པའམ། གསེར་གྱི་རྒྱན་ཆའམ། རིན་ཆེ་བའི་གོས་ལ་སོགས་ལ་མ་བརྟེན་པར།

ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རྒྱན་ཆ་ནི་ནང་སེམས་སུ་ནམ་ཡང་ཞི་འཇམ་ལྷིང་འཇགས་ཁོ་ན་དགོས་ཏེ། དེ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྤྱན་སྔར་རིན་ཆེན་ཡིན།

གནའ་བོའི་དུས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་རེ་བའི་བུད་མེད་དམ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྱོ་གའི་དབང་ཆ་དང་ལེན་བྱེད་པ་དེ་རྒྱན་དུ་བརྩི།

དཔེར་ན། མེས་པོ་ས་རཱ་ཡིས་རང་གི་ཁྱོ་ག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་བདག་པོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་བས་ཁོང་གི་བཀའ་ལ་ཉན། ཅིས་ཀྱང་མི་འཇིགས་པར་བཟང་པོ་བྱས་ན་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ནི་ཁོང་གི་བུ་མོ་ཡིན།

དེ་བཞིན་དུ་ཁྱེད་ཁྱོ་ག་རྣམས། ཆུང་མ་ལ་བཀུར་སྟི་བྱེད་ཅིང༌། སེམས་བཟང་པོས་ཁོ་མོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་འཚོ་བ་སྐྱེལ། དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་ན་སོ་སོའི་སྨོན་ལམ་ལ་བར་ཆད་མི་འབྱུང༌། ཁོང་ཚོ་ཁྱེད་ལས་སྟོབས་ཆུང་ཡང༌། ཁྱེད་དང་མཚུངས་པར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཐུགས་རྗེས་གནང་བའི་དཔག་ཏུ་མེད་པའི་ཚེ་འཛིན་མཁན་ཡིན།

 

 

(1 Peter 3:1-7)

Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, by submitting to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you are her children, if you do good and do not fear anything that is frightening.

Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.

 

 

                           As Married Couples Live Your Lives Together Considerately

Three times Peter has urged believers, “Be subject …“ ( Chapter 2:13,18; 3:1); that is, be subject to the government, to employers, and now wives to husbands. How so? by giving them obedience and honor. But then he also says (verse 7) that husbands should “likewise” show respect to their wives. What to say? Because the man does have authority, and the woman has her different needs and her own desires, how can he be ‘likewise’ subject to her?

 

Let us read through these verses again and pray that God may teach us how our lives may be of precious value to him.

Peter explains:

Verses 1-6  ‘You wives be respectfully – but not fearfully – submissive. If your husband is not a believer, your purity and inner beauty may convert him to faith in Jesus.’

Verse 7  ‘You men, you have authority, but show it to your wives in a kind-hearted understanding way. Only if you do so, will you fully enjoy the favour of God, because he favours women and men equally with unfading life.’

Let us read through these verses again and pray that God may teach us how our lives may be of precious value to him.
