རྒྱ་གླིང་ལྔ་པ་དེ་འབུད་པ།
The Fifth Trumpet is blown
1 དེ་ནས་ཕོ་ཉ་ལྔ་པ་དེས་རང་གི་རྒྱ་གླིང་བུས་གནང་བ་དང༌། ངས་ནམ་མཁའ་ནས་ས་ལ་ཟགས་པའི་སྐར་མ་
ཞིག་མཐོང་བྱུང་། སྐར་མ་དེ་ལ་གཏིང་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ས་དོང་གི་ལྡེ་མིག་དེ་སྤྲད་འདུག
1 Then the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen to the earth from the sky. The star was given the key to the shaft of the bottomless pit.
2 ཁོང་གིས་ (སྐར་མ་དེས་) གཏིང་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ས་
དོང་དེ་ཁ་ཕྱེས་པ་དང་། དེའི་ནང་ནས་དུ་བ་ཐོན་སོང་། དེ་མེ་ཐབ་ཆེན་པོ་ཞིག་ནས་ཐོན་གྱི་ཡོད་པའི་དུ་
བ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག །དུ་བ་དེས་ཉི་མའི་འོད་ཟེར་བཀག་པ་དང་བར་སྣང་ནག་པོ་ཆགས་སོང་།
2 He (the star) opened the shaft of the bottomless pit and smoke poured out of it – it was similar to smoke coming out of a huge furnace. The smoke blocked out the rays of the sun and the air became dark.
3 དུ་བ་དེའི་ནང་ནས་འབུ་ཆ་ག་པ་ཐོན་ནས་ས་གཞི་ཐོག་ལ་བབས་སོང་། དེ་ཚོ་ལ་སྡིག་པ་ར་ཉག་འདྲ་པོ་
མི་ཚོ་ལ་མཆུ་མདུང་འཛུགས་རྒྱུའི་ནུས་པ་སྤྲད་འདུག
3 Locusts emerged from the smoke and descended upon the earth. They were given the ability to sting people, like that of scorpions.
4 དེ་ཚོ་ལ་རྩྭ་དང་། ཡང་ན་རྩི་ཤིང་དང་། ཡང་ན་ཤིང་སྡོང་ལ་གནོད་པ་བྱེད་རྒྱུ་ཡོད་མ་རེད་ཟེར་ནས་ལབ་
འདུག །དེ་ཚོ་ལ་རང་གི་ཐོད་པ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐེལ་ཙེ་མེད་པའི་མི་དེ་ཚོ་གཅིག་པུ་ལ་གནོད་འཚེ་བྱེད་
རྒྱུའི་ཆོག་མཆན་སྤྲད་འདུག
4 They were told not to harm the grass or the plants or the trees. They were only permitted to attack the people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 (མཆུ་མདུང་བཙུགས་མཁན་འབུ་ཆ་ག་པ་) དེ་ཚོ་ལ་མི་ཚོར་ཟླ་བ་ལྔ་རིང་ནད་ཟུག་དྲག་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུའི་དབང་
ཆ་སྤྲད་འདུག །ཡིན་ན་ཡང་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་མི་དེ་ཚོ་གསོད་རྒྱུའི་ཆོག་མཆན་སྤྲད་མི་འདུག །དེ་ཚོས་སྤྲད་པའི་
ནད་ཟུག་དེ་མི་ཞིག་ལ་སྡིག་པ་ར་ཉག་གིས་དུག་ཡོད་པའི་མཇུག་མས་རྨུགས་པ་འདྲ་པོ་ནད་ཟུག་ཚབས་ཆེན་པོ་
ཞེ་དྲག་གཏོང་གི་འདུག
5 The (stinging locusts) were authorized to inflict severe pain on people for five months. But they were not allowed to kill them. The terrible pain they inflicted was similar to that which a scorpion causes when it stings someone with its poisonous tail.
6 དུས་
ཚོད་དེའི་རིང་མི་ཚོ་ཤི་འདོད་ཆེན་པོ་བྱེད་པ་དང་། ཁོང་ཚོས་རང་སྲོག་གཅོད་རྒྱུའི་ཐབས་ལམ་བཙལ་
གྱི་རེད། ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཤི་འདོད་ག་ཚོད་འབྱུང་ན་ཡང་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཤི་ཐུབ་ཀྱི་མ་རེད།
6 During those days people will long to die and they will seek for ways to take their own lives. However no matter how much they want to die they will be unable to. Death will elude them.

A Description of the Locusts’ Appearance
7 འབུ་ཆ་ག་པ་དེ་ཚོ་དམག་ལ་འགྲོ་རྒྱུའི་གྲ་སྒྲིག་ཡོད་པའི་རྟ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག །དེ་ཚོའི་མགོ་ལ་མགོ་ཁེབས་
ཡོད་པ་དང་། དེ་ཚོ་གསེར་གྱི་མགོ་རྒྱན་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག །དེ་ཚོའི་གདོང་པ་མིའི་གདོང་པ་འདྲ་པོ་

7 The locusts looked like horses that had been prepared and were ready for battle. There was a head covering on their heads that looked like golden crowns. And their faces resembled human faces.
8 དེ་ཚོའི་སྐྲ་དེ་ཚོ་བུད་མེད་ཀྱི་སྐྲ་འདྲ་པོ་[རིང་པོ་] ཡོད་པ་དང༌། དེ་ཚོའི་སོ་དེ་
ཚོ་འདམ་སེང་གི་སོ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག
8 Their hair was [long] like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.
9 དེ་ཚོས་ལྕགས་ཀྱིས་བཟོས་པའི་བྲང་ཁེབས་གོན་ཡོད་པ་དང༌། དེ་ཚོའི་གཤོག་པ་དེ་ཚོ་
དམག་ལ་བྲེལ་འཚུབ་བྱས་ནས་འགྲོ་གི་ཡོད་པའི་ཤིང་རྟ་འཁོར་ལོའི་དམག་དཔུང་ཞིག་འདྲ་པོ་འུར་སྒྲ་སྒྲོག་གི་
ཡོད་པ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག
9 They wore breastplates made of iron, and their wings roared like the sound of an army of horse-drawn chariots rushing into battle.
10 འབུ་ཆ་ག་པ་དེ་ཚོའི་མཇུག་མ་ལ་
སྡིག་པ་ར་ཉག་གི་རྔ་མ་ལ་ཡོད་པ་འདྲ་པོ་མཆུ་མདུང་འདུག །འབུ་ཆ་ག་པ་དེ་ཚོའི་མཇུག་མ་ལ་མི་ཚོར་ཟླ་བ་
ལྔ་རིང་ནད་ཟུག་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུའི་ནུས་པ་འདུག
10 The tails of the locusts had a sting in them which were similar to the sting in a scorpion’s tail. The tails of the locusts had the ability to cause pain to the people for five months.
11 དེ་ཚོའི་ཐོག་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་མཁན་རྒྱལ་པོ་དེ་གཏིང་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ས་དོང་གི་ཕོ་ཉ་དེ་རེད་འདུག །ཁོང་
གི་མཚན་ལ་ཧིབ་རུའི་སྐད་ལ་“ཨེ་སྦེདྲ་ཌོན་” དང༌། གྷིརིཀ་གི་སྐད་ལ་ཁོང་གི་མཚན་ལ་ “ཨེ་པོལ་ཡོན་” ཟེར་གྱི་འདུག (དེའི་དོན་དག་འཇིག་བྱེད་ཟེར་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད།)
11 The king who ruled over them was the angel from the bottomless pit. His name in Hebrew is “Abaddon”, and in Greek, “Apollyon” (which means the Destroyer).

The Sixth Trumpet is blown
12 ཆག་སྒོ་དང་པོ་དེ་ཡོལ་ཚར་བ་རེད། ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ལྟོས་དང་། ད་དུང་ཆག་སྒོ་གཉིས་འབྱུང་རྒྱུ་བསྡད་
ཡོད་རེད།
12 The first calamity is past, but look! Two more calamities are still to come!
13 དེ་ནས་ཕོ་ཉ་དྲུག་པ་དེས་རང་གི་རྒྱ་གླིང་བུས་པ་དང༌། ངས་གསེར་གྱི་མཆོད་ཁྲི་དེའི་གྲུ་ཟུར་བཞི་ལ་
ཡོད་པའི་རྭ་ཅོའི་བཟོ་ལྟ་ཡིན་པའི་འབུར་ཐོན་དེ་ཚོ་ནས་སྐད་ཆ་ཤོད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་པའི་གསུང་གི་སྒྲ་ཞིག་ཐོས་བྱུང༌། མཆོད་ཁྲི་འདི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྐུ་མདུན་ལ་འདུག
13 Then the sixth angel blew his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horn-shaped projections which are on the four corners of the golden altar. This altar stands in the presence of God.
14 སྒྲ་དེས་རྒྱ་གླིང་འཁུར་ཡོད་པའི་ཕོ་ཉ་དྲུག་པ་དེ་ལ་གསུངས་སོང༌། “གཙང་པོ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡུཕ་རེ་ཊིས་ལ་
བསྡམས་ཡོད་པའི་ཕོ་ཉ་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་གློད་བཀྲོལ་ཐོང་།”
14 The voice said to the sixth angel who was holding the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great Euphrates River.”
15 དེ་ནས་ད་ལྟ་དུས་ཚོད་འདི་ག་རང་དང་། དེ་རིང་གི་ཉིན་མོ་དང་ཟླ་བ་དང་ལོ་དེ་ག་རང་གི་ཆེད་དུ་གྲ་
སྒྲིག་བྱས་ནས་བཞག་ཡོད་པའི་ཕོ་ཉ་བཞི་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་གློད་བཀྲོལ་བཏང་སོང་། ས་གཞི་སྒང་གི་མི་གསུམ་ཆ་གཅིག་
གསོད་རྒྱུའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཁོང་ཚོ་གློད་བཀྲོལ་བཏང་སོང་།
15 Then the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour, day, month, and year were released. They were turned loose to kill one third of the human race.
16 རྟ་བཞོན་ཡོད་པའི་དམག་མི་ཚོའི་གྲངས་ས་ཡ་ཉི་བརྒྱ་འདུག །དེར་དམག་མི་ག་
ཚོད་ཡོད་པ་དེ་[ལྗཱོན་] ངས་ཐོས་བྱུང་།
16 The soldiers on horses numbered 20,000 times 10,000 [Two hundred million]. I [John] heard how many there were.
17 ངས་ང་རང་གི་ཞལ་གཟིགས་ནང་མཐོང་པའི་རྟ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་རྟ་པ་དེ་ཚོ་འདི་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག: རྟ་པ་དེ་ཚོས་
གོ་ཁྲབ་མེ་འདྲ་པོ་དམར་པོ་དང་སྔོན་ནག་དང་སེར་པོ་གོན་འདུག །རྟ་དེ་ཚོའི་མགོ་འདམ་སེང་གི་མགོ་འདྲ་
པོ་ཡོད་པ་དང༌། དེ་ཚོིའི་ཁ་ནས་མེ་དང༌དུ་བ་དང་། མེ་འབར་བཞིན་པའི་མུ་ཟེའི་རྦ་ཀློང་འཕྱུར་གྱི་འདུག
17 The horses and riders that I saw in my vision looked like this: The riders wore armour that was fiery red, dark blue and yellow. The heads of the horses were like heads of lions, and fire and smoke and burning sulphur billowed from their mouths.
18 ནད་རིམས་གསུམ་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་
ས་གཞི་ཐོག་ཡོད་པའི་མི་གསུམ་ཆ་གཅིག་ཚང་མ་ཤི་སོང་། རྟ་དེ་ཚོའི་ཁ་ནས་ཐོན་པའི་མེ་དང་། དུ་བ་
དང་། མུ་ཟེ་འབར་བཞིན་པ་དེ་ཚོའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་མི་དེ་ཚོ་ཤི་སོང་།
18 One-third of all the people on earth were killed by three plagues. The people died as a consequence of the fire, and the smoke, and the burning sulphur, which came out of the mouths of the horses.
19 རྟ་འདི་ཚོའི་ནུས་པ་དེ་དེ་ཚོའི་ཁ་དང་རྔ་མ་ལ་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ [ངས་ཤེས་སོང་།] དེ་ཚོའི་རྔ་མ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་སྦྲུལ་
འདྲ་པོ་མགོ་ཡོད་པ་དང་། དེ་ཚོས་རང་གི་རྔ་མ་བེད་སྤྱོད་བྱས་ནས་མི་ཚོ་རྨས་སྐྱོན་གཏོང་གི་འདུག
19 [I saw that] the power of these horses was in their mouths and in their tails. (Their tails had heads like snakes and they use them to injure people.)
20 ཡིན་ན་ཡང་བཀའ་ཆད་འདི་ཚོའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་མ་ཤི་
བའི་མི་བྱིངས་དེ་ཚོས་ད་དུང་རང་གི་ཉེས་སྤྱོད་ལ་འགྱོད་པ་བྱས་ [ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་སྐུ་གསོན་པོ་ཁོང་ལ་བསྟེན་
རྒྱུའི་འདོད་པ་བྱས་] མ་སོང་། ཁོ་ཚོས་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་མིག་མཐོང་མི་ཐུབ་པ་དང་། ཨམ་ཅོག་གོ་ཡག་མེད་
པ་དང་། གོམ་པ་རྒྱབ་ཐུབ་ཀྱི་མེད་པའི་གསེར་དང༌། དངུལ་དང་། ལི་དང་། རྡོ་དང་། ཤིང་ནས་
བཟོས་པའི་འདྲེ་ལ་ཕྱག་མཆོད་པ་བྱས་པ་དང་། འདྲ་བརྙན་གྱི་མདུན་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་སོང་།
20 But the rest of mankind who did not die in these plagues still refused to repent of their evil deeds [and turn to the living God]. They continued to worship demons and to prostrate before idols made of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood – idols which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk!
21 དེ་ག་
ནང་བཞིན་ཁོ་ཚོས་འགྱོད་པ་མ་བྱས་པ་དང་མི་གསོད་ཁྲག་སྦྱོར་བྱེད་རྒྱུ་སྤངས་མ་སོང་། ཁོ་ཚོས་རང་གི་ངན་
བསྔགས་ཀྱི་ཉམས་ལེན་མཚམས་འཇོག་བྱེད་རྒྱུའི་འདོད་པ་མ་བྱས་པ་དང་། ཚུལ་མིན་གྱི་འཁྲིག་སྤྱོད་དང་
ཡང་ན་རྐུ་མ་རྐུ་རྒྱུ་སྤངས་མ་སོང་།
21 Nor did they repent and turn away from committing murder. They refused to stop practising their sorceries (witchcraft) and did not abandon their sexual immorality or their thefts.
