བཀོད་པ 12 – Genesis 12

12:1  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་རམ་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  ད་ཁྱོད་རང་གི་ཕ་ཡུལ་དང་གཉེན་མཚན་དང་ཕའི་ཁང་པ་ནས་ཐོན་ཏེ་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསྟན་པའི་ཡུལ་དུ་སོང་ཞིག

Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.

12:2  ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  དེ་ཚོ་ནི་མི་རིགས་སྙན་གྲགས་ཆེནཔོ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ཡོང་།  ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་ནས།  ཁྱོད་སྙན་གྲགས་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ།  བྱིན་རླབས་ཀྱི་རྒྱུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ཡོང་།

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

12:3  ཁྱོད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་བཏང་མཁན་ཚོ་ལ་ངས་ཀྱང་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲད་བར་བྱ།  ཁྱོད་ལ་དམོད་པ་བརྒྱབ་མཁན་ཚོ་ལ་ངས་ཀྱང་དམོད་པ་བརྒྱབ་པར་བྱའོ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྒོ་ནས་ས་གཞིའི་མི་རིགས་ཐམས་ཅད་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

12:4  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་བཞིན་དུ་ཨབ་རམ་ལོད་དང་བཅས་སོང་ངོ་།  ཧ་རན་ཡུལ་ནས་སོང་བའི་སྐབས་ཨབ་རམ་ལོ་བདུན་ཅུ་དོན་ལྔ་ལོན་ཡོད་དོ།

So Abram went, as the Lord had told him, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

12:5  ཨབ་རམ་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་ས་ར་ཡི་ནུ་བོའི་བུ་ལོད་དང་།  ཧ་རན་དུ་བསགས་པའི་ནོར་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་བྲན་གཡོག་དང་བྲན་མོ་རྣམས་མཉམ་དུ་འཁྲིད་ནས་ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་དུ་སོང་ནས།  དེ་ཚོ་ཀ་ནན་ཡུལ་དུ་བསླེབས་སོ།

And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people that they had acquired in Haran, and they set out to go to the land of Canaan. When they came to the land of Canaan,

12:6  ཨབ་རམ་ཤེ་ཀེམ་ཞེས་པའི་དམ་པའི་ས་གནས་དེར་མོ་རཱེ་རུ་ཡོད་པའི་དམ་པའི་ཤིང་གི་འགྲམ་དུ་མ་སླེབས་བར་ངལ་མ་བསོས་སོ།  དེའི་ཚེ་ཀ་ནན་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱང་ས་གནས་དེར་གནས་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ།

Abram passed through the land to the place at Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. At that time the Canaanites were in the land.

12:7  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་རམ་ལ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞལ་མཇལ་བྱུང་ནས་ཁོང་ལ་གསུངས་པ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཡུལ་འདི་སྤྲད་བཞིན་ཡོད།  ས་གནས་དེར་ཞལ་མཇལ་གནང་བའི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཨབ་རམ་གྱིས་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་སོ།

Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built there an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

12:8  དེའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡུལ་བེ་ཐེལ་གྱི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་རི་ཞིག་ཏུ་ཕྱིན་ནས།  བེ་ཐེལ་གྱི་ནུབ་ཕྱོགས་དང་ཨེ་ཞེས་པའི་ཡུལ་གྱི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་གནས་ཤིག་ཏུ་གུར་ཕུབ་པ་དང་། དེར་ཁོང་གི་རང་གི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་ཏེ་མཆོད་པ་ཕུལ་ལོ།

From there he moved to the hill country on the east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. And there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord.

12:9  དེ་ནས་ཁོང་ས་གནས་གཅིག་ནས་གཞན་དུ་ཕྱིན་ཞིང་།  ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་ལྷོ་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་༎

And Abram journeyed on, still going toward the Negeb.

12:10  འོན་ཀྱང་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་ཡུལ་དུ་མུ་གེ་ཤོར་ཡོད་པས།  ཨབ་རམ་བྱེས་སུ་གནས་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་དེར་གནས་སོ།

Now there was a famine in the land. So Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.

12:11  ཨི་ཇིབ་ཀྱིི་ས་མཚམས་སུ་སླེབས་རན་སྐབས་ཨབ་རམ་གྱིས་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་ས་ར་ཡི་ལ་སྨྲས་པ།  ཁྱོད་ནི་བལྟ་བ་ལ་མཛེས་པོ་ཡོད་པས།

When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance,

12:12  འོན་ཀྱང་ཨི་ཇིབ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྱོད་མཐོང་ནས་ངའི་ཆུང་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཤེས་ཏེ།  དེ་ཚོས་ང་བསད་དེ་ཁྱོད་གསོན་པོར་འཇོག་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།

and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live.

12:13  དེའི་ཕྱིར་ཁྱོད་ནི་ངའི་སྲིང་མོ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ལབ་ཅིག།  དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་ན་ཁོང་ཚོས་ང་ལ་སྤྱོད་ལམ་ཡག་པོ་བྱས་ཏེ་ངའི་སྲོག་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར།

Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.”

12:14  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་རམ་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་བསླེབས་པ་དང་།  ཡུལ་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁོའི་ཆུང་མ་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཛེས་པོ་ཡོད་པ་མཐོང་ནས།

When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful.

12:15  རྒྱལ་པོའི་ལས་བྱེད་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་མོ་རང་མཛེས་པོ་ཡོད་པའི་སྐོར་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ་ཞུས་པས།  མོ་རང་ཕོ་བྲང་ནང་དུ་འཁྲིད་དོ།

And when the princes of Pharaoh saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken into Pharaoh’s house.

12:16  མོ་རང་གི་ཕྱིར་རྒྱལ་པོས་ཨབ་རམ་ལ་གུས་ཞབས་བྱེད་དེ།  ར་ལུག་དང་།  བ་གླང་དང་།  བོང་བུ་དང་།  རྔ་མོང་དང་།  བྲན་གཡོག་དང་བྲན་མོ་རྣམས་གནང་ངོ་།

And for her sake he dealt well with Abram; and he had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels.

12:17  འོན་ཀྱང་ཨབ་རམ་གྱི་ཆུང་མ་ས་ར་ཡིའི་ཕྱིར་རྒྱལ་པོ་དང་ཕོ་བྲང་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཁྲོད་དུ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ནད་སྡུག་པོ་རྣམས་གཏོང་གནང་ངོ་།

But the Lord afflicted Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram’s wife.

12:18  དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོས་ཨབ་རམ་ལ་བོས་ནས་འདྲི་བ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་དེ་ལྟར་ཅི་ལ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ནམ།  ས་ར་ཡི་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་ཡིན་ཟེར་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ང་ལ་མ་བཤད་དམ།

So Pharaoh called Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?

12:19  མོ་ངའི་སྲིང་མོ་ཡིན་ཟེར་ནས་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ལབ་བམ།  མོ་ངའི་ཆུང་མར་འགྱུར་བཅུག་པར་ཅི་ཕྱིར་སྤྲད་པ་ཡིན་ནམ།  ད་ཁྱོད་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་འདི་རུ་ཡོད།  མོ་ལ་འཁྲིད་དེ་སོང་ཞིག

Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her for my wife? Now then, here is your wife; take her, and go.”

12:20  རྒྱལ་པོས་རང་གི་མི་རྣམས་ལ་བཀའ་གནང་བ་ལྟར།  དེ་ཚོའི་ཨབ་རམ་དང་ཁོའི་ཆུང་མ་དང་ཁོང་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་ནོར་དང་བཅས་པ་ཨི་ཇིབ་ནས་བཏང་ངོ་༎

And Pharaoh gave men orders concerning him, and they sent him away with his wife and all that he had.

བཀོད་པ 11 – Genesis 11

11:1  དེའི་སྐབས་སུ་ས་གཞི་ཚང་མར་སྐད་གཅིག་རང་ཡོད་པས།  མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སྐད་དེ་རང་བཤད་པར་བྱེད་དོ།

Now the whole earth had one language and the same words.

11:2  དེ་རྣམས་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སོང་བ་ལས།  བྷེེ་བྷི་ལོ་ནི་ཡ་ཞེས་པའི་ཡུལ་གྱི་ཐང་ཆེན་པོ་ཞིག་ཏུ་བསླེབས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ཚོ་ས་གནས་དེར་བསྡད་དོ།

And as people migrated from the east, they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.

11:3  ཁོང་ཚོས་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་སྨྲས་པ།  ད་ང་ཚོས་ས་སྦག་བཟོས་ནས་མེ་ལ་སྲེག་ཏེ་མཁྲེགས་པོ་བཟོས་དགོས།  དེ་ནས་དེ་ཚོས་ཁང་པ་བཟོས་ཕྱིར་ས་སྦག་དང་དེ་ལ་བཟུང་ཕྱིར་བྲག་ཞུན་བེད་སྤྱོད་བྱེད་དོ།

And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar.

11:4  ཁོང་ཚོས།  ད་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཞིག་དང་དེའི་ནང་མཁར་མཐོ་པོ་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་ཐུག་པ་ཞིག་བཟོ་དགོས།  དེ་ལྟར་བཟོས་ན་ང་ཚོའི་མིང་སྐད་གྲགས་བྱུང་སྟེ་འཛམ་གླིང་ནང་ང་ཚོ་འཐོར་བར་མི་འགྱུར་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”

11:5  དེ་ནས་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྩིགས་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དང་མཁར་མཐོ་པོ་གཟིགས་པར་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་མར་ཕེབས་ནས།

And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.

11:6  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པ།  ད་མི་བརྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་གཅིག་ཡིན་པས་སྐད་ཡང་གཅིག་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  དེ་ཚོས་གང་འདྲ་བྱེད་ཡོང་ངམ།  ཐོག་མར་ཁོ་ཚོས་རང་འདོད་བཞིན་ལས་ཀ་འདྲ་མི་འདྲ་བྱས་ཐུབ་པར་འགྱུར།

And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they have all one language, and this is only the beginning of what they will do. And nothing that they propose to do will now be impossible for them.

11:7  མར་ཕྱིན་ནས་དེ་ཚོའི་སྐད་གཅིག་དེ་ཕན་ཚུན་ཧ་མ་གོ་བའི་ཕྱིར་ང་ཚོ་མར་བབས་ཏེ་ཁོ་ཚོའི་སྐད་དེ་འཛོལ་བར་བྱེད་དགོས་གསུངས་པ་དང་།

Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech.”

11:8  དེ་ལྟར་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ས་གཞི་ཀུན་ལ་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཐོར་བར་མཛད་པས།  དེ་ཚོས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་བརྩིགས་རྒྱུ་མཚམས་བཞག་གོ

So the Lord dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.

11:9  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེའི་མིང་བྷ་བེལ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།  དེ་གང་ལ་ཞེ་ན། དེར་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་དེ་དག་གི་སྐད་གཅིག་དེ་འཛོལ་བར་གནང་བས་།  དེ་ནས་འཛམ་གླིང་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ནང་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་འཐོར་བར་མཛད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ༎

Therefore its name was called Babel, because there the Lord confused[a] the language of all the earth. And from there the Lord dispersed them over the face of all the earth.

11:10  ཤེམ་གྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནི་དེ་ལྟར་ཡིན།  ཆུ་ལོག་ཡོང་བའི་ལོ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ཤེམ་ལོ་  ༡༠༠  ལོན་དུས་བུ་ཨར་པག་ཤད་བྱུང་ངོ།

These are the generations of Shem. When Shem was 100 years old, he fathered Arpachshad two years after the flood.

11:11  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༥༠༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Shem lived after he fathered Arpachshad 500 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:12  ཨར་པག་ཤད་ལོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་ལྔ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་ཤེ་ལཱ་བྱུང་ངོ།

When Arpachshad had lived 35 years, he fathered Shelah.

11:13  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༤༠༣  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Arpachshad lived after he fathered Shelah 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:14  ཤེ་ལཱ་ལོ་སུམ་ཅུ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་ཨེ་བྷེར་བྱུང་ངོ།

When Shelah had lived 30 years, he fathered Eber.

11:15  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༤༠༣  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Shelah lived after he fathered Eber 403 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:16  ཨེ་བྷེར་ལོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་བཞི་ལོན་དུས་བུ་པེ་ལེག་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Eber had lived 34 years, he fathered Peleg.

11:17  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༤༣༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Eber lived after he fathered Peleg 430 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:18  པེ་ལེག་ལོ་སུམ་ཅུ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་རུ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Peleg had lived 30 years, he fathered Reu.

11:19  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༢༠༩  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Peleg lived after he fathered Reu 209 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:20  རུ་ལོ་སུམ་ཅུ་སོ་གཉིས་ལོན་དུས་བུ་སེ་རུག་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Reu had lived 32 years, he fathered Serug.

11:21  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༢༠༧  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Reu lived after he fathered Serug 207 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:22  སེ་རུག་ལོ་སུམ་བཅུ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་ན་ཧོར་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Serug had lived 30 years, he fathered Nahor.

11:23  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༢༠༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Serug lived after he fathered Nahor 200 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:24  ན་ཧོར་ལོ་ཉི་ཤུ་རྩ་དགུ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་ཏེ་རཱ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Nahor had lived 29 years, he fathered Terah.

11:25  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༡༡༩  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

And Nahor lived after he fathered Terah 119 years and had other sons and daughters.

11:26  ཏེ་རཱ་ལོ་བདུན་ཅུ་ལོན་དུས་ཁོང་ཨབ་རམ་དང་ན་ཧོར་དང་ཧ་རན་གྱི་ཕ་རུ་འགྱུར་རོ༎

When Terah had lived 70 years, he fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

11:27  ཨབ་རམ་དང་ན་ཧོར་དང་ཧ་རན་གྱི་ཕ་ཏེ་རཱའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནི་འདི་ལྟར་ཡིན། ཧ་རན་ལོད་ཀྱི་ཕ་རུ་འགྱུར་རོ།

Now these are the generations of Terah. Terah fathered Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran fathered Lot.

11:28  ཁོང་གི་ཕ་ཏེ་ར་གསོན་པོར་བཞུགས་སྐབས་ཧ་རན་ནི་རང་ཉིད་སྐྱེས་པའི་ས་གནས་བྷེ་བྷི་ལོ་ནི་ཡ་གི་ཨུར་ཞེས་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ནང་གྲོངས་སོ།

Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his kindred, in Ur of the Chaldeans.

11:29  ཨབ་རམ་གྱིས་ས་ར་ཡི་མཉམ་དུ་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་བོ།  ན་ཧོར་གྱི་ཧ་རན་གྱི་བུ་མོ་མིལ་ཀཱ་དང་ཆང་ས་རྒྱབ་བོ།  ཧ་རན་ནི་ཡིསི་ཀཱའི་ཕ་ཡིན་ནོ།

And Abram and Nahor took wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran the father of Milcah and Iscah.

11:30  ས་ར་ཡི་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་མ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.

11:31  ཏེ་རཱས་རང་གི་བུ་ཨབ་རམ་དང་མནའ་མ་ས་ར་ཡི་དང་རང་གི་ཚ་བོ་ལོད་  (ཧ་རན་གྱི་བུ)  དང་མཉམ་དུ་འཁྲིད་ནས།  ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་ཕྱོགས་སུ་འགྲོ་བའི་ཕྱིར་བྷེ་བྷི་ལོ་ནི་ཡའི་ཨུར་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ནས་ཐོན་ཏེ།  དེ་ཚོ་ཧ་རན་དུ་སོང་ནས་དེར་གནས་སོ།

Terah took Abram his son and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Chaldeans to go into the land of Canaan, but when they came to Haran, they settled there.

11:32  ཏེ་རཱ་ལོ་  ༢༠༥  ལོན་ཏེ་ས་གནས་དེར་གྲོངས་སོ༎

The days of Terah were 205 years, and Terah died in Haran.
