8 འོན་ཀྱང་གཅེས་པའི་སྤུན་ཟླ་རྣམས། གཙོ་བོའི་ཆ་ནས་ཉིན་མོ་གཅིག་ནི་ལོ་སྟོང་དང་འདྲ་བ་ཡིན་ཞིང༌། ལོ་སྟོང་ནི་ཉིན་མོ་གཅིག་དང་འདྲ་བ་ཡིན་པ་མ་བརྗེད་པ་གྱིས་ཤིག

9 མི་ཁ་ཤས་ཀྱིས་གཙོ་བོས་ཞལ་ཆད་སྒྲུབ་པར་དུས་ཚོད་རིང་པོ་འགོར་བར་སེམས་ཀྱང་དོན་དངོས་ཐོག་དེ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན། མི་སུ་ཞིག་ཀྱང་འཇིག་པར་མི་འགྱུར་བར་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་སྤྱོད་པ་ངན་པ་རྣམས་སྤངས་ནས་སེམས་བསྒྱུར་བར་ཁོང་གིས་ཐུགས་ངང་རྒྱུད་རིང་པོས་སྒུག་བཞིན་ཡོད།

10 འོན་ཀྱང་གཙོ་བོའི་ཉིན་མོ་དུས་ངེས་མེད་ཀྱི་རྐུན་མ་དང་འདྲ་བར་ཡོང༌། དེ་དུས་ནམ་མཁའ་འུར་སྒྲ་དང་བཅས་པར་འདའ་ཞིང༌། འབྱུང་བ་རྣམས་མེ་ཡིས་འཇིག་པར་འགྱུར། ས་གཞི་དང་དེའི་སྟེང་གི་དངོས་པོ་ཐམས་ཅད་བསྲེག་པར་འགྱུར།

11 ཐམས་ཅད་དེ་ལྟར་འཇིག་པར་འགྱུར་བས་ཁྱེད་ལ་སྤྱོད་ལམ་བཟང་པོ་དང་ཆོས་སེམས་ཇི་ལྟ་བུ་ཞིག་ཡོད་དགོས།

12 ཁྱེད་ཚོས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཉིན་མོ་རེ་སྒུག་བྱེད་དེ་ཉིན་མོ་དེ་མགྱོགས་པོར་འོང་བའི་ཕྱིར་འབད་བརྩོན་བྱེད་དགོས། ཉིན་མོ་དེར་ནམ་མཁའ་འབར་ནས་འཇིག་ཅིང༌། འབྱུང་བ་རྣམས་མེ་ཡིས་ཞུ་བར་འགྱུར།

 13 འོན་ཀྱང་ཁོང་གིས་ཞལ་གྱིས་བཞེས་པ་བཞིན་དུ་ནམ་མཁའ་གསར་པ་དང་ས་གཞི་གསར་པ་ཞིག་འབྱུང་བ་ང་ཚོས་རེ་སྒུག་བྱེད། དེ་ལ་དྲང་བདེན་ཉིད་གནས་པར་འགྱུར།

Study Points

. Peter speaks of God’s timing as different to our human knowledge and expectation

. When God execute His judgement and fulfill His promises people are caught by surprise

. Nevertheless we who believe in the faithfulness of God must be ever ready to serve His will and purpose

. God’s will is we should walk in His call for repentance and to be ready when Jesus will return

2 Peter 3:8-13

8 But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

1  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་གིས་ཁང་ཁྱིམ་མ་བཟོས་ན། ཁང་བཟོ་པ་ཡི་ལས་རྣམས་དོན་མེད་ཡིན།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་གིས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་མ་སྲུང་ན།  བསྲུང་བ་ཚོས་ལངས་ནས་སྲུང་རྒྱུ་དེ་དོན་མེད་ཡིན

2  སྔ་དྲོ་ལངས་ནས་མཚན་མོ་ཕྱི་པོར་ཉལ། དེ་བཞིན་འཚོ་ཕྱིར་ངལ་རྩོལ་དོན་མེད་ཡིན།  གང་ལགས་ཟེར་ན་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གཅེས་པར། ཉལ་སྐབས་དེ་ཚོར་མཁོ་ཆས་ཆ་ཚང་གནང་།

3  ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་ནི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་གནང་བྱིན་ཡིན། དེ་དག་ལ་བདེན་པའི་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་པ་ཡིན།

4  ན་སོ་གཞོན་དུས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་རྣམས། དཔའ་བོའི་ལག་པར་ཡོད་པའི་མདའ་གཞུ་འདྲ་བ་ཡིན།

5  རང་ལ་མདའ་དེ་འདྲ་བ་མང་པོ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་དེ་དགའ།  ཁྲིམས་གཅོད་གནས་སུ་རང་གི་དགྲ་བོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ།  འཕྲད་སྐབས་དེ་ལ་ནམ་ཡང་ཕམ་རྒུད་བྱུང་མི་ཡོང་༎

 

 

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.

2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.

3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.

5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

1 གཅེས་པའི་སྤུན་ཟླ་རྣམས། འདི་ནི་ངས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་བྲིས་པའི་འཕྲིན་ཡིག་གཉིས་པ་ཡིན་ཞིང༌། འཕྲིན་ཡིག་གཉིས་ཀའི་ནང་དོན་ནི་ངས་འབད་པས་ཁྱེད་ཚོར་སེམས་དྲང་པོ་སྐྱེད་དུ་བཅུག་པར་དྲན་སྐུལ་བྱེད་ཆེད་ཡིན།

2 ལུང་སྟོན་པ་དམ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྔར་གསུངས་པའི་བཀའ་དང༌། གཙོ་བོ་དང་སྐྱབས་མགོན་གྱིས་སྐུ་ཚབ་རྣམས་བརྒྱུད་ནས་གནང་བའི་གསུང་དེ་ངས་ཁྱེད་ཚོས་དྲན་པར་འདོད།

3 དང་པོར་འདི་ཤེས་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག དུས་མཐའ་མ་ལ་བདེན་པར་འཕྱ་སྨོད་བྱེད་མཁན་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར། སྨད་ར་གཏོང་ཞིང་རང་གི་འདོད་ཆགས་བཞིན་དུ་སྤྱོད་པར་བྱེད་དེ།

4 ཁྱེད་ཚོར། ཡེ་ཤུ་མཱ་ཤི་ཀ་འབྱོན་པའི་ཞལ་ཆད་གང་དུ་ཡོད། མེས་པོ་འདས་པ་ནས་བཟུང་དོན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཇི་ལྟར་འཇིག་རྟེན་བཀོད་པ་ནས་གང་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ལྟར་ད་ལྟའང་མི་འགྱུར་བར་གནས་སོ་ཞེས་ཟེར་ཡོང༌།

5-6 དེ་ལྟར་ཟེར་ན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ཡི་སྒོ་ནས་ནམ་མཁའ་གནའ་སྔ་མོ་ནས་ཡོད་པ་དང༌། ས་ཡང་ཆུ་ལས་བྱུང་ཞིང་ཆུ་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་གནས་ཏེ། དེའི་སྒོ་ནས་གནའ་བོའི་འཇིག་རྟེན་ཆུ་ལོག་གིས་འཇིག་པ་ཡིན་པར་ཁོ་ཚོས་རྐང་བཙུགས་ཏེ་བརྗེད་པར་བྱེད།

7 ཡང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་བཞིན་ད་ལྟའི་གནམ་ས་མེ་ཡིས་སྲེག་ཆེད་བཞག་ཡོད། དེ་གཉིས་ཁྲིམས་གཅོད་པའི་ཉིན་མོ་དང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ལ་མི་ཉན་པ་རྣམས་ལ་མེད་པ་བཟོ་བའི་བར་དུ་བཞག་ཡོད།

Study Points

. Peter warn of expected rejection and mocking of the judgement of God

. There are people who will mock and dismiss God’s salvation and God’s judgement

. God’s redemption is related to God’s judgement and therefore those who reject God’s judgement will also reject God’s salvation through His chosen Messiah Jesus

2 Peter 3:1-7

1 This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, 2 that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, 3 knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. 4 They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, 6 and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. 7 But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
