མད་ཐཱ། 5:20

20 ངས་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ལ་ཟེར་རྒྱུར། གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་ཚོས་ཆོས་ཁྲིམས་ལ་མཁས་པའི་མི་དང༌། ཕཱ་རུ་ཤི་པ་རྣམས་ལས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་ལེགས་པར་མ་མཉན་ན། ཁྱེད་ཚོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་དུ་འཛུལ་བར་མི་སྲིད།

 

Matthew 5:20 (LSV)

20 For I say to you that if your righteousness may not abound above that of the scribes and Pharisees, you may not enter into the kingdom of the heavens.

Study notes –

1. Jesus declare His teachings of righteousness is above and beyond those taught by religious teachers of His days referring to the scribes and Pharisees
2. Man-made religious teachings of righteousness are to please people, but Jesus way of righteousness please God and ensure our position in the kingdom of God
3. The prophet Isaiah had also declared God’s way of righteousness above and beyond man-made religious methods

 

ཡེ་ཤ་ཡཱ 55:6-9

6  ཁོང་གི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བསྒྱུར་ནས་ཁོང་ལ་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས།

ད་ལྟ་ཁོང་ནི་ཐག་ཉེར་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན།

7  སྤྱོད་ངན་རང་གི་བྱེད་ལུགས་དོར་བཅུག་ནས། དེ་ཚོའི་བསམ་བློ་གཏོང་ཚུལ་བསྒྱུར་རུ་བཅུག།

དེ་ཚོ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ང་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་གི་ཕྱོགས།

དེ་ཚོ་བློ་ཁ་བསྒྱུར་དུ་འཇུག་ཅིག་དང་། ཁོང་ནི་བྱམས་བརྩེ་བཟོད་གསོལ་གནང་རྒྱུར་མགྱོགས།

8  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་གིས་བཀའ་གནང་བ། ང་ཡི་བསམ་བློ་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་བསམ་བློ་ལྟར་མེད།

ང་ཡི་ལམ་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ལམ་མི་འདྲ།

9  ས་ལས་མཐོ་རིས་ཇི་ལྟར་མཐོ་བ་ལྟར། ཁྱོད་སྟེང་ང་ཡི་ལམ་དང་བསམ་བློ་མཐོ།

 

Isaiah 55:6-9

6 Seek YHWH while He may be found, Call Him while He is near,

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the man of iniquity his thoughts, And he returns to YHWH, And He pities him, And to our God, For He multiplies to pardon.

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways,” A declaration of YHWH,

9 “For as high as the heavens have been above the earth, So high have been My ways above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts

17 “ང་ཡོང་བ་ནི་ཆོས་ཁྲིམས་སམ་ལུང་སྟོན་པའི་བསྟན་པ་མེད་པར་བྱེད་པར་མ་སོམས་ཤིག ང་མེད་པར་བྱེད་དུ་མིན་ཏེ་དེ་ཚོ་སྒྲུབ་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཡོང་བ་ཡིན།

18 ངས་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ལ་བདེན་པར་ཟེར་རྒྱུར། གནམ་ས་གཉིས་མ་འདའ་བའི་བར་དུ་ཆོས་ཁྲིམས་ཀྱི་ཚེག་གམ་ཡིག་འབྲུ་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མེད་པར་མི་འགྱུར་གྱི། ཐམས་ཅད་འགྲུབ་པར་འགྱུར་ངེས་ཡིན།

19 དེའི་ཕྱིར་མི་སུ་འདྲ་ཞིག་གིས་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་འདི་རྣམས་ལས་ཆུང་ཤོས་ཤིག་དང༌། ཡང་འགལ་ནས་མི་གཞན་རྣམས་ལའང་དེ་ལྟར་བྱེད་པར་སློབ་མཁན་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ནང་དུ་ཆུང་ཤོས་ཟེར་བར་འགྱུར། འོན་ཀྱང་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དེ་ཚོ་སྲུང་ཞིང་སློབ་མཁན་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ནང་དུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཟེར་བར་འགྱུར།

 

Matthew 5:17-19 (LSV)

17 Do not suppose that I came to throw down the Law or the Prophets—I did not come to throw down, but to fulfill; 18 for truly I say to you, until the heaven and the earth may pass away, one iota or one tittle may not pass away from the Law, until all may come to pass. 19 Therefore whoever may loose one of these commands—the least—and may teach men so, he will be called least in the kingdom of the heavens, but whoever may do and may teach them, he will be called great in the kingdom of the heavens.

Study notes –

1. Jesus uphold the Law and the Prophets with reference to instructions and teachings delivered directly from God to Moses and what was revealed to the prophets with regards to righteous living before God
2. Through upholding the Law and the Prophets a disciple honor God as our Father in heaven

 

བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་སྐྱར་བཤད་ 8:11-17

11ཁྱོད་ཚོས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ནམ་ཡང་མ་བརྗེད་པར་གྱིས་ཤིག དེ་རིང་ངས་སློབ་སྟོན་བྱས་པའི་ཁོང་གི་ཁྲིམས་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མ་ལུས་པར་སྲུང་ཞིག 12ཁྱོད་ཚོར་འདོད་མོས་བཞིན་གྱི་ཁ་ཟས་འགྲུབ་ཅིང་། སྡོད་གནས་ཁང་ཁྱིམ་སོགས་གསར་རྒྱག་བྱས་ཏེ། 13ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ཕྱུགས་ཟོག་དང་། ལུག་ཁྱུག་དང་། གསེར་དང་དངུལ་ལ་སོགས་པའི་རྒྱུ་དངོས་ཚང་མ་གོང་འཕེལ་དུ་འགྲོ་སྐབས། 14ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ང་རྒྱལ་མ་སྐྱེས་པར་སྔར་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་བྲན་གཡོག་གི་གནས་སྟངས་ནས་སྐྱབས་པ་གནང་མཁན་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་མ་བརྗེད་པར་བྱོས་ཤིག 15ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ལ་དུག་སྦྲུལ་གདུག་པ་ཅན་དང་སྡིག་པ་ར་རྩ་ཡོད་བའི་འབྲོག་སྟོང་རྒྱ་ཆེ་ཞིང་འཇིགས་རུང་དྲག་པོའི་གནས་དེ་ནས་འཁྲིད་ཕེབས་པ་དང་། ཆུ་མེད་པའི་ཡུལ་དེར་ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ཆེད་དུ་བྲག་རིའི་ནང་ནས་ཆུ་བཏོན་པ་གནང་ངོ་། 16འབྲོག་སྟོང་དུ་ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཚོར་ཟས་སུ་མན་ན་གནང་ཞིང་། ཡང་དེ་ལྟ་བུའི་ཁ་ཟས་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་ཕ་མེས་ཚོས་ཀྱང་དེ་སྔ་ནམ་ཡང་ཟ་མ་མྱོང་བ་ཡིན་ནོ། ཁྱོད་ཚོར་ཚོད་ལྟ་གནང་ཕྱིར་ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཚོར་དཀའ་ངལ་ནང་ཚུད་བཅུག་གནང་བ་དང། མཐར་དངོས་པོ་བཟང་པོ་གནང་ནས་ཁྱོད་ཚོར་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ཐུབ་པའིཕྱིར་རོ། 17དེར་བརྟེན་རང་གི་སྟོབས་དང་ནུས་པས་རྒྱུ་དངོས་གསོག་འཇོག་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ནམ་ཡང་མ་བསམ་ཞིག

 

Deuteronomy 8:11-17

11 Take heed to yourself lest you forget your God YHWH so as not to keep His commands, and His judgments, and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 lest you eat and have been satisfied, and build good houses and have inhabited them, 13 and your herd and your flock are multiplied, and silver and gold are multiplied to you, and all that is yours is multiplied, 14 and your heart has been high, and you have forgotten your God YHWH who is bringing you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants; 15 who is causing you to go in the great and the terrible wilderness [with] burning serpent, and scorpion, and thirst—where there is no water; who is bringing out waters to you from the flinty rock; 16 who is causing you to eat manna in the wilderness, which your fathers have not known, in order to humble you, and in order to try you, to do you good in your latter end; 17 and you have said in your heart, My power and the might of my hand have made this wealth for me.

མད་ཐཱ། 5:14-16

14 ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ནི་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་འོད་ཡིན། རི་ལ་ཆགས་པའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་བཀབ་མི་སྲིད།

15 མི་སུས་ཀྱང་སྒྲོན་མེ་ཞིག་སྤར་ནས་བྲེའི་འོག་ཏུ་མི་འཇོག སྟེགས་བུའི་སྟེང་དུ་བཞག་ནས་ཁང་པའི་ནང་གི་མི་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་འོད་སྤྲོ།

16 དེ་ལྟར་ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་འོད་ཀྱང་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མདུན་དུ་འོད་སྤྲོ་བར་འཇུག་དགོས། དེ་ནས་ཁྱེད་ཚོས་བྱེད་པའི་བྱ་བ་བཟང་པོ་ཁོ་ཚོས་མཐོང་ནས་ཞིང་ཁམས་སུ་བཞུགས་པའི་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡབ་ལ་བསྟོད་བསྔགས་བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར།”

 

Matthew 5:14-16 (LSV)

14 You are the light of the world, a city set on a mountain is not able to be hid; 15 nor do they light a lamp and put it under the measure, but on the lampstand, and it shines to all those in the house; 16 so let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father who is in the heavens.

Study notes –

1. Jesus teaches His disciples to be light of God’s truth
2. This light refer to disciples living principles and values in obedience to God’s will and teachings
3. Jesus’ teachings is consistent with what God instructed Moses in Deuteronomy

བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་སྐྱར་བཤད་ 4:5-8

5  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ངའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཇི་ལྟར་བཀའ་གནང་བ་བཞིན་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ལ་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་ཚང་མ་བསླབ་ཡོད། ད་ཁྱོད་ཚོས་དབང་འཛིན་བྱེད་གྲབ་ཡོད་པའི་ཡུལ་དེའི་ནང་དུའང་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དེ་དག་རྩིས་སྲུང་བྱོས་ཤིག 6  བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དེ་དག་ཚུལ་བཞིན་དུ་སྲུང་ཞིག དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་མི་རིགས་གཞན་གྱི་མཐོང་སྣང་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་བློ་གྲོས་ཅན་ཡིན་པ་དེ་སྟོན་པར་འགྱུར། བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་འདི་དག་ཐོས་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་དེ་ཚོས། མངའ་ཐང་ཆེ་བའི་མི་རིགས་དེ་ཚོ་ནི་ཤེས་རབ་དང་དྲན་དབང་ཅན་ཞིག་འདུག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་ཡོང་།

7  དགོས་མཁོ་ཆེ་བའི་སྐབས་སུ་ཉེ་བར་ཕེབས་ཏེ་སྐྱབས་གྲོགས་མཛད་མཁན་ང་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འདྲ་བ་གཞན་ཞིག་མི་རིགས་ཆེན་པོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཞིག་གང་དུའང་མེད་དོ། ང་ཚོས་ཁོང་ལ་མགོན་སྐྱབས་ཞུ་སྐབས་ཁོང་གིས་ང་ཚོར་བཀའ་ལན་གནང་ངོ་། 8  མི་རིགས་མངའ་ཐང་ཆེན་པོ་གང་འདྲ་ཞིག་ཡིན་རུང་ངས་ཁྱོད་ཚོར་སློབ་སྟོན་བྱས་པའི་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དང་འདྲ་བའི་ཁྲིམས་དྲང་པོ་ཞིག་མི་རིགས་སུ་ལའང་མེད་དོ།

 

Deuteronomy 4:5-8

5 See, I have taught you statutes and judgments, as my God YHWH has commanded me, to do so in the midst of the land to where you are going in to possess it; 6 and you have kept and done them for it is your wisdom and your understanding before the eyes of the peoples who hear all these statutes, and they have said, Surely a people wise and understanding is this great nation. 7 For which is the great nation that has God so near to it, as our God YHWH, in all we have called to Him? 8 And which is the great nation which has righteous statutes and judgments according to all this law which I am setting before you today?
