མད་ཐཱ། 16:1-4

1 ཕཱ་རུ་ཤི་པ་དང་སཱ་ཅུ་སེ་པ་རྣམས་ཡོང་ནས་ཡེ་ཤུ་ལ་ཉམས་ཚོད་ལེན་པའི་ཕྱིར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞིང་ཁམས་ནས་ངོ་མཚར་བའི་རྟགས་ཁོ་ཚོར་སྟོན་པར་ཞུས།

2 ལན་དུ་ཁོང་གིས་ “ཁྱོད་ཚོས་དགོང་མོ་ཆགས་པའི་དུས་སུ་ནམ་མཁའི་སྤྲིན་པ་དམར་པོ་ཡིན་ཚེ་ནམ་དྭངས་ཡོང་ཞེས་ཟེར།

3 ཡང་ཞོགས་པར་ནམ་མཁའ་འཐིབས་ཤིང་དམར་པོ་ཡིན་ཚེ་ཁྱོད་ཚོས་དེ་རིང་རླུང་འཚུབ་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་ཟེར། ནམ་མཁའི་གནས་ཚུལ་དཔྱོད་སྟངས་ཤེས་ཀྱང༌། དུས་འདིའི་གནས་ཚུལ་དཔྱོད་མི་ཐུབ།

4 མི་རབས་འདི་ནི་ངན་པ་དང་ལོག་གཡེམ་ཅན་ཞིག་ཡིན་པས་ངོ་མཚར་བའི་རྟགས་ཤིག་མཐོང་བར་འདོད་ཀྱང༌། ལུང་སྟོན་པ་ཡོ་ནཱ་ཡི་རྟགས་མ་གཏོགས་པར་གཞན་ཅི་ཡང་སྟེར་བར་མི་འགྱུར་” ཞེས་གསུངས་ཏེ་ཁོ་ཚོ་དང་ཁ་བྲལ་ནས་ཕར་ཕེབས།

 

Matthew 16:1-4

And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and to test him they asked him to show them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times. 4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” So he left them and departed.

2. Jonah’s prayer recorded in the writing of Jonah actually speaks of resurrection from the dead and God’s power to redeem

2ངས་རང་གི་དཀའ་སྡུག་དྲག་པོའི་ནང། ཁྱེད་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བོས་པས།

ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ང་ལ་བཀའ་ལན་གནང་། གཤིན་པོའི་གནས་ཁམས་གཏིང་རིང་ནས།

མགོན་སྐྱབས་ཞུས་པས་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་གསན།

3ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་ལ་མཚོའི་གཏིང་། ཧ་ཅང་མཐིལ་བར་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་ལ་ཕངས་གནང་ངོ་།

ཆུ་ཡིས་ང་ལ་ཕྱོགས་བཞིར་བསྐོར། ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་མཛད་པའི་རྦ་རླབས་རྣམས།

ང་ཡི་སྟེང་དུ་འཁོར་ཞིང་རྒྱུག།

4ང་ཡིས་བསམ་པར་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་སྐུ་མདུན་ནས། ང་ནི་གཡོལ་བ་དང་།

ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་མཆོད་ཁང་དམ་པ་དེ། ནམ་ཡང་མཇལ་མི་ཐུབ་བོ།

5རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ཆུ་ཡིས་ཡོངས་བསྐོར་ཏེ། དབུགས་ཀྱང་ལེན་པར་བློ་ཟུབ་རྒྱབ།

རྒྱ་མཚོས་ང་ནི་ཡོངས་འགེབས་ཤིང་། མགོ་ནི་ཆུ་ནང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་རྩ་ཡིས་དཀྲིས།

6ང་ནི་རི་བོའི་མཐིལ་དུ་བབས། ཡུལ་དེའི་སྒོ་རྣམས་གཏན་དུ་རྒྱབ།

འོན་ཀྱང་ཁྱེད་ང་ཡི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས།

གཤིན་ཁམས་གཏིང་ནས་ང་སྐྱབས་མཇོད།

7ང་ནི་འཆི་ཁར་ཐུག་དུས་སུ། གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁྱེད་འདྲེན་ནས་ངའི་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་པ་ཡིན།

ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་མཆོད་ཁང་དམ་པ་ནས། ང་ཡི་ཞུ་བ་གསན་པར་མཛད།

8སྙིང་པོ་མེད་པའི་ལྷ་སྐུ་དག། བསྟེན་ཅིང་བསྙེན་བཀུར་བྱེད་མཁན་ཚོས།

ཁྱེད་ལ་དད་གུས་མ་ཞུས་པར། ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཡོངས་སུ་ཤོར།

9འོན་ཀྱང་ངས་ནི་ཁྱེད་ལ་བསྟོད། ཁྱེད་དྲུང་དམར་མཆོད་འབུལ་བ་དང་།

དམ་བཅའ་གང་ཞུས་བསྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ། ཐར་ལམ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཕྱོགས་ནས་འབྱུང་།

10དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཉ་དེ་ལ་བཀའ་གནང་ནས། དེས་ཡོ་ནཱ་སྐྱུགས་ནས་མཚོ་འགྲམ་དུ་བཏོན་པ་རེད༎

 

Jonah 2

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the belly of the fish, 2 saying,

“I called out to the Lord, out of my distress,
and he answered me;
out of the belly of Sheol I cried,
and you heard my voice.
3 For you cast me into the deep,
into the heart of the seas,
and the flood surrounded me;
all your waves and your billows
passed over me.
4 Then I said, ‘I am driven away
from your sight;
yet I shall again look
upon your holy temple.’
5 The waters closed in over me to take my life;
the deep surrounded me;
weeds were wrapped about my head
6     at the roots of the mountains.
I went down to the land
whose bars closed upon me forever;
yet you brought up my life from the pit,
O Lord my God.
7 When my life was fainting away,
I remembered the Lord,
and my prayer came to you,
into your holy temple.
8 Those who pay regard to vain idols
forsake their hope of steadfast love.
9 But I with the voice of thanksgiving
will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
Salvation belongs to the Lord!”

10 And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.

22 དེ་མ་ཐག་ཡེ་ཤུས་ཉེ་གནས་རྣམས་གྲུ་ལ་སྡོད་དུ་བཅུག་སྟེ། ཁོང་གི་སྔོན་དུ་མཚོའི་ཕ་རོལ་གྱི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སོང་ཞིག་ཅེས་གསུངས་ནས་མི་ཚོགས་ཕར་བཏང་གནང་ངོ༌།

23 དེ་ལྟར་མཛད་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཁོང་གཅིག་པུར་རི་ལ་ཡར་ཕེབས། ཉི་མ་ནུབ་པའི་དུས་སུ་དེར་ཁོང་གཅིག་པུ་ཡིན།

24 དེའི་སྐབས་གྲུ་ནི་སྐམ་ས་ནས་ཐག་རིང་ལ་སླེབས་ཡོད། ལྷགས་པ་གྲུའི་མདུན་ཕྱོགས་ནས་བརྒྱབ་པས་རྦ་རླབས་ཀྱིས་དཀྲུགས།

25 མཚན་མོ་ཐུན་བཞི་པ་ཙམ་ལ་ཁོང་མཚོའི་སྟེང་ལ་ཞབས་ཀྱིས་འཆག་སྟེ་ཁོ་ཚོའི་རྩར་ཕེབས།

26 དེ་མཐོང་བས་ཉེ་གནས་རྣམས་འཇིགས་ཤིང་སྐྲག་པར་གྱུར་ནས་ “གདོན་འདྲེ་ཞིག་འདུག་” ཅེས་འཇིགས་པས་སྐད་ཤོར་མ་ཐག

27 ཡེ་ཤུས་ཁོ་ཚོར་ “ཁྱེད་ཚོའི་སེམས་བདེ་བར་བྱོས། ང་རང་ཡིན་པས་འཇིགས་མི་དགོས་” ཞེས་གསུངས།

Matthew 14:22-27

22 Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. 23 And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, 24 but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. 26 But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”

Study notes –

1. Jesus walking on walking demonstrated His divine nature and power
2. There was no intention to show as Jesus was left alone and the disciples had gone with the boat with Him

རྒྱ་མཚོའི་སྟེང་དུ་ཁོང་གི་མཛད་པ་ཡ་མཚན་མཐོང་།

25ཁོང་གི་བཀའ་ཡིས་རླུང་འཚུབ་དྲག་པོ་རྒྱབ་འགོ་ཚུགས་པ་དང་། ཆུ་ཡི་རྦ་རླབ་ཤུགས་ཆེན་དཀྲུགས།

26གྲུ་རྣམས་ལྷག་པས་ནམ་མཁའི་ཐོག་ཏུ་ཡར་འདེགས་ཤིང་།

རྒྱ་མཚོའི་གཏིང་འོག་བར་དུ་ཐིམ་ནས་འགྲོ་བ་དང་། དེ་འདྲའི་ཉེན་ཁའི་དུས་སུ་གྲུ་པ་ཚོས་སྙིང་སྟོབས་བྲལ།

27ར་བཟི་མི་ལྟར་དེ་ཚོ་འཁྱོར་བཞིན་རིལ། དེ་ཚོའི་རྩལ་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ཅི་ཡང་མི་ཕན་ནོ།

28དཀའ་ངལ་དུས་སུ་དེ་ཚོས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་ལ་བོས་པ་དང་།

ཁོང་གིས་དེ་ཚོར་དཀའ་ངལ་ཀུན་ལས་སྐྱབས་གནང་ངོ་།

29རླུང་དམར་དྲག་པོར་ཁོང་གིས་འགོག་གནང་ཞིང་།

ཆུ་ཡི་རྦ་རླབ་རྣམས་ནི་ཞི་འཇམ་བཟོས་གནང་ངོ་།

30ཚང་མ་ཞི་འཇམ་བྱུང་བས་དེ་ཚོ་དགའ་བ་བྱུང་།

ཁོང་གིས་དེ་ཚོར་དེ་ཚོས་འདོད་པའི་གྲུ་ཁར་ཁམས་བཟང་ཐོག་ནས་སྐྱེལ།

31དེ་ཚོས་ཁོང་གི་རྒྱུན་ལྡན་ཐུགས་བརྩེ་དང་།

ཁོང་གིས་དེ་ཚོའི་ཆེད་དུ་གནང་བའི་ངོ་མཚར་ཅན་གྱི་མཛད་ཆེད་དུ་བཏང་རག་འབུལ་དགོས།

32མི་ཚོགས་ཀྱི་ཁྲོད་དུ་ཁོང་གི་རླབས་ཆེན་སྐོར་གསལ་སྒྲགས་བྱེད་དགོས་སོ།

དཔོན་རྣམས་འདུ་ཚོགས་ས་རུ་ཁོང་ལ་བསྟོད།

 

Psalm 107:23-32

23 Some went down to the sea in ships,
doing business on the great waters;
24 they saw the deeds of the Lord,
his wondrous works in the deep.
25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind,
which lifted up the waves of the sea.
26 They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths;
their courage melted away in their evil plight;
27 they reeled and staggered like drunken men
and were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
29 He made the storm be still,
and the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,
and he brought them to their desired haven.
31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,
and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

16 འོན་ཀྱང་དེའི་ལན་དུ་ཡེ་ཤུས་ “ཕར་འགྲོ་མི་དགོས། ཁྱེད་ཚོས་ཁོ་ཚོར་ཟས་སྟེར་ཞིག་” ཅེས་གསུངས།

17 ཁོ་ཚོས་ཁོང་ལ་ “ང་ཚོར་འདིར་བག་ལེབ་ལྔ་དང་ཉ་ཤ་གཉིས་ལས་མེད་” ཅེས་ཟེར།

18 ཁོང་གིས་ “དེ་ཚོ་ངའི་རྩར་འཁུར་ཤོག་” ཅེས་གསུངས་ནས།

19 ཁོང་གིས་མི་ཚོགས་ལ་རྩྭའི་སྟེང་ལ་སྡོད་དགོས་པའི་བཀའ་གནང་ཞིང༌། བག་ལེབ་ལྔ་དང་ཉ་ཤ་གཉིས་པོ་དེ་ཕྱག་ཏུ་བསྣམས་ཏེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞིང་ཁམས་ལ་ཡར་གཟིགས་ཤིང་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ་ཞུས་རྗེས། བག་ལེབ་དུམ་བུར་བཟོས་ནས་ཉེ་གནས་རྣམས་ལ་གནང་སྟེ་ཁོ་ཚོས་མི་ཚོགས་ལ་སྟེར།

20 མི་ཚང་མས་བཟས་ནས་འགྲངས་ཏེ། ཟས་ལྷག་བསྡུས་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་བག་ལེབ་ཆག་དུམ་གྱིས་སླེ་པོ་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཁེངས།

21 ཟས་ཟ་མཁན་བུད་མེད་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་མ་བརྩིས་པར་སྐྱེས་པ་ལྔ་སྟོང་ཙམ་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན།

 

Matthew 14:13-21

13 Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat to a desolate place by himself. But when the crowds heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. 15 Now when it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the day is now over; send the crowds away to go into the villages and buy food for themselves.” 16 But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.” 17 They said to him, “We have only five loaves here and two fish.” 18 And he said, “Bring them here to me.” 19 Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass, and taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds. 20 And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up twelve baskets full of the broken pieces left over. 21 And those who ate were about five thousand men, besides women and children.

Study notes –

1. John the Baptist killed by Herod did send serious warning to preachers of righteousness.
2. Nevertheless Jesus continued preaching and ministering
3. Jesus as Savior and Messiah was moved by compassion for the people
4. The feeding of the crowd demonstrated God’s power to provide in circumstances needed but not feasible through human means
5. God is known for His mercy and provision

4གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མོ་ཤེ་ལ་གསུངས་པ། ལྟོས་ཤིག། ངས་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་དོན་དུ་གནམ་ནས་ཁ་ཟས་ཤིག་འབེབས་པར་བྱེད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན། མི་དམངས་རྣམས་ཉིན་ལྟར་རེ་བཞིན་ཕྱི་རུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་ཁ་ཟས་དེ་ནས་ཉིན་དེ་རང་ལ་ལྡང་བ་མ་གཏོགས་སྒྲུག་མི་ཆོག དེ་འི་སྒོ་ནས་དེ་ཚོས་ངའི་བཀའ་བཀོད་པ་བཞིན་སྤྱོད་མིན་ངས་ཚོད་ལྟ་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་རོ། 5དེ་ཚོས་ཉིན་ཞག་དྲུག་པའི་ཐོག་དུས་རྒྱུན་གྱི་ཚད་ལས་ལྡབ་གཅིག་མང་བ་སྒྲུག་ནས་བཞག་དགོས་ཤེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངོ་།

 

Exodus 16:4-5

4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. 5 On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.”
