Tibetan Script Gospel Meditation – Mark 13:1,2

Mark 13.1-2 w B

And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!”And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”

The great temple with its foundation platform, built by King Herod over a period of 46 years, was constructed of chiselled stones quarried from local rock, many being of vast size up to 25 tonnes, even up to hundreds of tonnes in weight.

Yet, not more than 40 years later, following a Jewish rebellion, the buildings were burned by the Romans and the building blocks toppled, just as Yeshu foretold.

After that the Jewish Sangha ( dge-‘dun) with its system of temple, priests and sacrifices came to an end.
