After these things he appeared in another form to two of them as they were walking into the country. And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.

As these two walked home still not believing, Yeshu met them. This stranger seemed unknown to them, until he spoke.

Then they turned round and hurried all the way back to Jerusalem. But the others too still would not believe.

Why so slow to believe such wonderful life-giving news?

Yeshu looked down on men with love from the cross. And now that he is risen he will come and walk with us. This is the truth indeed. But the more in return those disciples loved Yeshu and wanted him, the more amazing the truth was felt to be. Too wonderful; could it really be!
