བཀོད་པ 18 – Genesis 18

18:1  མམ་རེ་ཞེས་པའི་ཤིང་སྡོང་གི་ཉེ་འགྲམ་དུ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་མངོན་པར་མཛད་གནང་ངོ།  ཉིན་གུང་ཉི་མ་ཚ་བའི་སྐབས་སུ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་རང་གི་གུར་གྱི་སྒོའི་འགྲམ་དུ་བསྡད་ཡོད་པ་རེད།

And the Lord appeared to him by the oaks[a] of Mamre, as he sat at the door of his tent in the heat of the day.

18:2  ཁོས་མིག་ཡར་བལྟ་བ་དང་།  མི་གསུམ་ལངས་ཡོད་པ་མཐོང་ངོ་།  དེ་ཚོ་ལ་མཐོང་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཁོང་རྒྱུག་ཅིང་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་འཕྲད་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས།  མགོ་སྒུར་ཞིང་གདོང་ས་ལ་རེག་ནས།

He lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing in front of him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them and bowed himself to the earth

18:3  ཁོང་གིས་གསུངས་པ།  གཙོ་བོ་ལགས།  ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ངའི་ནང་ལ་ངལ་གསོ་མ་གནང་བར་མ་ཕེབས་རོགས་གནང་།  ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལ་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ཞུ་བར་ང་འདིར་ཡོད།

and said, “O Lord, if I have found favor in your sight, do not pass by your servant.

18:4  ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་འཁྲུ་བར་ཆུ་ཕྲན་བུ་འཁྱེར་ནས་ཡོང་གི་ཡིན།  དེར་ཤིང་གི་འོག་ཏུ་སྐུ་ངལ་གསོས་ཤིག་དང་།

Let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree,

18:5  ཞལ་ལག་ཡང་འཁྱེར་ནས་ཡོང་གི་ཡིན།  དེས་ཕྱོགས་ཐོན་བྱེད་རྒྱུར་སྟོབས་རྙེད་ཡོང་། ངའི་ནང་ལ་ཕེབས་ནས་ཆེ་བསྟོད་གནང་སོང་།  དེར་བརྟེན་ད་ང་ལ་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ཞུ་རུ་འཇུག་རོགས་གནང་།  དེ་ཚོས་ལན་དུ།  ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གཏམ་དེར་ང་ཚོས་ངོས་ལེན་ཡོད།

while I bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh yourselves, and after that you may pass on—since you have come to your servant.” So they said, “Do as you have said.”

18:6  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གུར་ནང་རྒྱུག་ནས་ས་རཱ་ལ།  གྲོ་ཞིབ་ལེགས་ཤོས་ལས་བརྫིས་ཏེ་མགྱོགས་པོར་བག་ལེབ་འགའ་ཤས་བཟོས་ཤིག་ཅེས་ལབ་བོ།

And Abraham went quickly into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quick! Three seahs of fine flour! Knead it, and make cakes.”

18:7  དེ་རྗེས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ཕྱུགས་ཀྱི་ཁྱུའི་ནང་རྒྱུག་ཏེ་བེའུ་གཞོན་པ་རྒྱག་པ་ཞིག་འདམས་ནས་གཡོག་པོ་ལ་སྤྲད་པ་དང་།  ཁོས་མྱུར་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་དེ་དག་གྲ་སྒྲིག་བྱས་སོ།

And Abraham ran to the herd and took a calf, tender and good, and gave it to a young man, who prepared it quickly.

18:8  ཁོང་གིས་འོ་མ་དང་མར་གང་ཙམ་ཞིག་དང་།  ཤ་དེ་མི་དེ་ཚོའི་མདུན་དུ་ཕུལ་ནས། དེར་ཤིང་སྡོང་གི་འོག་ཏུ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་ཁ་ཟས་དྲངས་ནས་དེ་ཚོས་ཟས་སོ།

Then he took curds and milk and the calf that he had prepared, and set it before them. And he stood by them under the tree while they ate.

18:9  དེ་ནས་དེ་ཚོས་ཁོང་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་ག་རུ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།  ལན་དུ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  མོ་གུར་ནང་ཡོད་ཞུས་སོ།

They said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” And he said, “She is in the tent.”

18:10  དེའི་ནང་ནས་གཅིག་གིས་སྨྲས་པ།  ད་ནས་ཟླ་བ་དགུའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཕྱིར་ལོག་ཡོང་སྐབས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་ས་རཱ་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་ཡོང་ཞེས་གསུངས་པ་དང་།  ས་རཱ་ནི་ཁོའི་རྒྱབ་དང་གུར་གྱི་སྒོར་ལངས་ནས་ཉན་ནས་ཡོད་དོ།

The Lord said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him.

18:11  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་ས་རཱ་ན་ཚོད་རྒས་ཡོད་པས།  ས་རཱའི་མངལ་ཁྲག་ཆད་ཡོད་པ་རེད།

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, advanced in years. The way of women had ceased to be with Sarah.

18:12  ས་རཱ་གསང་ནས་གད་མོ་གད་ཅིང་།  ང་དང་ངའི་ཇོ་བོ་ནི་ལོ་རྒས་ཚར་བས།  ད་ང་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་གང་ལྟར་སྐྱེས་ཐུབ་བམ་ཞེས་བསམ་མོ།

So Sarah laughed to herself, saying, “After I am worn out, and my lord is old, shall I have pleasure?”

18:13  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ།  མོ་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་སྐྱེས་མི་སྲེད་ཅེས་ས་རཱས་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་གད་དམ།

The Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’

18:14  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ལས་གང་ཡང་སྒྲུབ་མིཐུབ་པ་ཁག་པོ་ཡོད་དམ།  ངས་ལབ་པ་ལྟར་ཟླ་བ་དགུའི་རྗེས་སུ་ང་ལོག་ཡོང་བ་དང་།  ས་རཱ་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ཡོང་།

Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”

18:15  ས་རཱ་འཇིགས་ཏེ།  ངས་གད་མོ་ཤོར་མེད་ཅེས་ལབ་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གད་མོ་ཤོར་སོང་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ༎

But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. He said, “No, but you did laugh.”

18:16  དེ་ནས་མི་དེ་ཚོ་ལངས་ཏེ་སོ་དྷོམ་མཐོང་བའི་གནས་སུ་ཕྱིན་པ་དང་།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ཕར་ཙམ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་སྐྱེལ་བརསོང་ངོ་།

Then the men set out from there, and they looked down toward Sodom. And Abraham went with them to set them on their way.

18:17  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་འདི་ལྟར་ཐུགས་བསམ་བཞེས་ཏེ།  ངས་བྱ་བ་གང་བྱས་སྐོར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ནས་སྦས་མི་ཡོང་།

The Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do,

18:18  ཁོའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནི་མི་རིགས་རླབས་ཆེན་ཞིག་དང་དབང་ཅན་དུ་འགྱུར་བ་དང་། ཁོའི་སྒོ་ནས་མི་རིགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

18:19  ཁོ་རང་གི་བུ་ཚོ་དང་ཁོའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ལ་ངའི་བཀའ་སྲུང་བ་དང།་  གང་དྲང་པོ་དང་བདེན་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁྲིམས་བྱོས་ཤིག་ཅེས་ངས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་འདམས་པ་ཡིན།  དེ་ལྟར་དེ་ཚོས་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ངས་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་བ་ཚང་མ་ཁོའི་ཕྱིར་སྒྲུབ་པར་བྱ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.”

18:20  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  སོ་དྷོམ་དང་གྷོ་མོ་རཱའི་ཐོག་ཉེས་པ་དྲག་པོ་བཀལ་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  དེ་ཚོས་སྡིག་པ་ཆེན་པོ་བྱས་ཡོད་དོ།

Then the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave,

18:21  ངས་ཐོས་པའི་དེ་ཚོའི་ཉེས་པ་རྣམས་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་མིན་རྟགས་དཔྱད་བྱེད་ཕྱིར་ང་དེར་མར་འགྲོ་དགོས།

I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know.”

18:22  དེ་ནས་མི་གཉིས་སོ་དྷོམ་གྱི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་སོང་ངོ་།  འོན་ཀྱང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཞུགས་སོ།

So the men turned from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.

18:23  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་འགྲམ་དུ་སོང་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཞུས་པ།  ཁྱེད་ནི་བདེན་པར་ཉེས་མེད་ཚོ་ལའང་ཉེས་ཅན་དང་མཉམ་དུ་མེད་པར་མཛད་དམ།

Then Abraham drew near and said, “Will you indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked?

18:24  གལ་ཏེ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་འདིའི་ནང་མི་ཉེས་མེད་ལྔ་བཅུ་ཡོད་ནའང་།  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཚང་མ་མེད་པར་མཛད་དམ།  ལྔ་བཅུ་ཐམ་པ་ལ་སྐྱབས་ཕྱིར་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་ལ་ཐར་པ་མི་གནང་ངམ།

Suppose there are fifty righteous within the city. Will you then sweep away the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous who are in it?

18:25  ངེས་པར་ཁྱེད་སྡིག་པ་བྱེད་མཁན་དང་མཉམ་དུ་མི་བཟང་པོ་རྣམས་གསོད་མི་ཡོང། དེ་ལྟར་བྱུང་མི་སྲིད་པས།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་དེ་ལྟར་གནང་མི་ཐུབ།  དེ་ལྟར་གནང་བ་ཡིན་ན།  ཉེས་ཅན་རྣམས་དང་མཉམ་དུ་མི་གནོང་མེད་ལ་ཡང་ཉེས་པ་ཐོབ་པར་འགྱུར།  དེ་ལྟར་བྱུང་མི་སྲིད། འཛམ་གླིང་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཁྲིམས་དཔོན་གྱིས་དྲང་པོའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁྲིམས་བཅོད་གཏོང་དགོས།

Far be it from you to do such a thing, to put the righteous to death with the wicked, so that the righteous fare as the wicked! Far be that from you! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is just?”

18:26  ལན་དུ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས།  གལ་སྲིད་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་སོ་དྷོམ་ནང་ཉེས་སྐྱོན་མེད་པའི་མི་ལྔ་བཅུ་ཡོད་ན།  དེ་དག་གི་ཕྱིར་ངས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་ཡོངས་སུ་མེད་པར་མི་བྱེད་གསུངས་སོ།

And the Lord said, “If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.”

18:27  ཡང་སྐྱར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  ང་ནི་མི་ཞིག་ཡིན་ཀྱང་།  ཁྱེད་གཙོ་བོ་ལ་ཞུ་བ་གང་ཙམ་ཕུལ་བས་དབང་མེད་པ་དང་།  ཁྱེད་ལ་བློ་ཁོག་བྱེད་དེ་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་གསུང་གླེང་ཞུས་པར་བཟོད་གསོལ་གནང་རོགས་གནང།

Abraham answered and said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, I who am but dust and ashes.

18:28  འོན་ཀྱང་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེའི་ནང་ཉེས་སྐྱོན་མེད་པའི་མི་ལྔ་བཅུའི་ཚབ་ཏུ་མི་བཞི་ཅུ་ཞེ་ལྔ་  མ་གཏོགས་མེད་ན།  མི་ལྔ་ཉུང་དུ་སོང་བས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཐམས་ཅད་མེད་པར་མཛད་དམ་ཞུས་པས།  ཁོང་གིས།  གལ་སྲིད་ཉེས་སྐྱོན་མེད་པའི་མི་བཞི་བཅུ་ཞེ་ལྔ་ཐོབ་ན།  ངས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་མེད་པར་མི་བྱའོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

Suppose five of the fifty righteous are lacking. Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” And he said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five there.”

18:29  ཡང་སྐྱར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཞུས་པ།  གལ་སྲིད་མི་དྲང་པོ་བཞི་བཅུ་ལས་མེད་ན་གང་མཛད་དམ་ཞུས་པས།  ཁོང་གིས།  དེ་དག་བཞི་བཅུ་ཕྱིར་ཡང་ངས་མེད་པར་མི་བྱའོ་གསུངས་སོ།

Again he spoke to him and said, “Suppose forty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of forty I will not do it.”

18:30  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  གཙོ་བོ་ཐུགས་ཁྲོ་མ་མཛད་པར་ད་དུང་ང་ལ་ཞུ་འབུལ་བྱ་རྒྱུ་ཡོད་པས།  གལ་སྲིད་མི་དྲང་པོ་གསུམ་བཅུ་ལས་མེད་ན་གང་མཛད་དམ་ཞུས་པས།  ཁོང་གིས། དེ་ཚོ་གསུམ་བཅུའི་ཕྱིར་ཡང་ངས་མེད་པར་མི་བྱའོ་གསུངས་སོ།

Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak. Suppose thirty are found there.” He answered, “I will not do it, if I find thirty there.”

18:31  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  གཙོ་བོ་ཁྱེད་ལ་བློ་ཁོག་བྱེད་དེ་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་གཏམ་གླེང་ཞུས་པ་ལ་བཟོད་གསོལ་གནང་རོགས་གནང་།  གལ་སྲིད་མི་དྲང་པོ་ཉི་ཤུ་ལས་མེད་ན་གང་མཛད་དམ་ཞུས་པས།  ཁོང་གིས། དེ་དག་ཉི་ཤུའི་ཕྱིར་ཡང་ངས་མེད་པར་མི་བྱའོ་གསུངས་སོ།

He said, “Behold, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord. Suppose twenty are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of twenty I will not destroy it.”

18:32  ཡང་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས།  གཙོ་བོ་ཁྱེད་ཐུགས་ཁྲོ་མི་མཛད་པར་ངའི་ཞུ་བར་ཐེངས་གཅིག་གསན་རོགས་གནང་།  གལ་ཏེ་མི་དྲང་པོ་བཅུ་ལས་མེད་ན་གང་མཛད་དམ་ཞུས་པས། ཁོང་གིས།  དེ་དག་བཅུ་ཕྱིར་ཡང་ངས་མེད་པར་མི་བྱའོ་གསུངས་སོ།

Then he said, “Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak again but this once. Suppose ten are found there.” He answered, “For the sake of ten I will not destroy it.”

18:33  དེ་ལྟར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་མཉམ་དུ་གསུང་གླེང་གནང་བའི་རྗེས་སུ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཚོག་ཕར་ཕེབས་པ་དང་།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་རང་གི་ནང་དུ་ལོག་གོ།

And the Lord went his way, when he had finished speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

 

བཀོད་པ 17 – Genesis 17

17:1  ཨབ་རམ་ལོ་དགུ་བཅུ་གོ་དགུ་ལོན་པའི་ཚེ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་མངོན་པར་མཛད་པ།  ང་ནི་ཀུན་དབང་ལྡན་པའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཡིན།  ངའི་བཀའ་ལ་ཉན་ནས་གང་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་བྱོས་ཤིག

When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless,

17:2  ངས་ཁྱོད་དང་དམ་བཅའ་བྱེད་དེ་ཁྱོད་ལ་མི་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.”

17:3  ཨབ་རམ་གྱིས་གདོང་ས་ལ་རེག་ནས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བ་དང་།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པ།

Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him,

17:4  ངས་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་དམ་བཅའ་འདི་འཇོག་གི་ཡོད།  ཁྱོད་ནི་མི་རིགས་མང་པོའི་ཕ་མེས་སུ་འགྱུར་བ་བྱ་ཞེས་ངས་མནའ་འདི་འཇོག་གི་ཡིན།

“Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations.

17:5  ད་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ཨབ་རམ་མ་ཡིན།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ཟེར་བར་འགྱུར།  དེ་གང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ན།  ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་མི་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོའི་ཕ་མེས་སུ་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཡིན་ནོ།

No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

17:6  ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་མི་བརྒྱུད་ཤིན་ཏུ་མང་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  དེའི་ནང་ནས་མི་རིགས་མང་པོ་བྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།  འགའ་ཤས་ནི་རྒྱལ་པོ་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་རོ།

I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make you into nations, and kings shall come from you.

17:7  ངས་ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་དང་མ་འོངས་པའི་མི་རབས་རྣམས་དང་བཞག་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་དེ་དུས་རྒྱུན་གྱི་ཕྱིར་དུ་འཇོག་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ང་ཡིན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།

And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.

17:8  ད་ལྟ་ཁྱོད་རང་ཕྱི་རྒྱལ་བ་ལྟར་གནས་ཡོད་པའི་ཡུལ་འདི།  ངས་ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ལ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ཀ་ནན་ཡུལ་ཡོངས་སུ་དུས་རྒྱུན་གྱི་ཕྱིར་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ལ་སྟེར་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  ང་དེ་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཡིན་པར་འགྱུར།

And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”

17:9  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  མ་འོངས་པའི་དུས་སུ་ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་ང་མཉམ་དུ་ཞག་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་འདི་སྲུང་དགོས།

And God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.

17:10  ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཁྲོད་དུ་ཕོ་ཡིན་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་གཅོད་དགོས།

This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

17:11-12  ད་ནས་ཕྱིན་ཆད་སྐྱེས་ནས་ཉི་མ་བརྒྱད་ལོན་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་བུ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་བཅད་དགོས།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་སྐྱེས་པའི་བྲན་གཡོག་གི་བུ་རྣམས་དང་ཕྱི་རྒྱལ་ཡུལ་ནས་ཉོས་པའི་བྲན་གཡོག་རྣམས་ཀྱི་བུ་རྣམས་ལ་དེ་ལྟར་མདུན་ལྤགས་གཅོད་དགོས།  དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁྱོད་དང་ངའི་བར་ལ་དམ་བཅའ་ཅིག་འཇོག་ཡོད་པ་དེ་བསྟན་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you. He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring,

17:13  ཕོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་གཅོད་དགོས།  ང་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བར་ལ་བཞག་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་དེ་དུས་རྒྱུན་གྱི་ཕྱིར་ཡིན་པའི་ལུས་གཟུགས་ཀྱི་རྟགས་སུ་འགྱུར་རོ།

both he who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money, shall surely be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an everlasting covenant.

17:14  མདུན་ལྤགས་མ་བཅད་པའི་མི་ངའི་འབངས་སུ་བརྩི་བར་མི་འགྱུར།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  དེས་ང་མཉམ་དུ་བཞག་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་དེ་རྩིས་མེད་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.”

17:15  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  ད་ནས་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མའི་མིང་ས་ར་ཡི་མི་ཟེར་བར་ས་རཱ་ཞེས་པར་འགྱུར།

And God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.

17:16  ངས་མོ་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་ཏེ།  མོ་ནས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ངས་མོ་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་ནས་མི་རིགས་མང་པོའི་མ་རུ་འགྱུར་ཡོང་།  མོ་ནས་སྐྱེས་པའི་མི་བརྒྱུད་ལས་རྒྱལ་པོའང་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།

I will bless her, and moreover, I will give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she shall become nations; kings of peoples shall come from her.”

17:17  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་སྒུར་ནས་ཐོད་པས་ས་ལ་རེག་ནས།  གད་མོ་ཤོར་ནས།  རང་གི་སེམས་ལ།  ལོ་ ༡༠༠  ལོན་པ་ཞིག་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་སྐྱེས་སྲིད་དམ།  ས་རཱ་ལོ་དགུ་བཅུ་ཡིན་པ་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་བར་སྲིད་དམ་ཞེས་བསམས་སོ།

Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said to himself, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? Shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”

17:18  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཞུས་པ།  ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་ངའི་ནོར་བདག་ཏུ་འགྱུར་བཅུག་པར་མཛད་དམ་ཞེས་ཞུས་པས།

And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”

17:19  འོན་ཀྱང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པ།  དེ་ལྟར་བྱེད་མི་བཅུག།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་ས་རཱ་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་ཡོང་།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དེའི་མིང་ཨི་སཱག་ཞེས་བཏགས་དགོས།  ཁོ་དང་ཁོའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ངས་དུས་གཏན་གྱི་ཕྱིར་དམ་བཅའ་བྱེད་པར་བྱ།  དམ་བཅའ་དེ་ནི་གཏན་གྱི་ཆེད་དུ་ཡིན།

God said, “No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

17:20  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་གྱི་ཕྱིར་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཞུ་བ་དེ་ངས་ཐོས་བྱུང་།  དེར་བརྟེན་ངས་ཁོ་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་ཏེ་མི་རིགས་མང་པོ་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ཁོའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནང་རྒྱལ་སྲས་བཅུ་གཉིས་སྐྱེས་པ་དང་།  ཁོའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ལ་མི་རིགས་རླབས་ཆེན་ཞིག་བཟོ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I have blessed him and will make him fruitful and multiply him greatly. He shall father twelve princes, and I will make him into a great nation.

17:21  འོན་ཀྱང་ལོ་རྗེས་མ་ད་ལྟའི་དུས་སྐབས་སུ་ས་རཱ་ལས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་ཨི་སཱག་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ངས་དམ་བཅའ་འཇོག་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year.”

17:22  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་བཀའ་མོལ་གནང་ཚར་བའི་རྗེས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་འཕགས་སོ།

When he had finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

17:23  ཉིན་དེ་རང་ལ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བཀའ་བཞིན་བྱས་ཏེ།  རང་གི་བུ་ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་དང་།  ནང་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་སྐྱེས་པ་རྣམས་དང་།  རང་གི་ནང་དུ་སྐྱེས་པའམ་རང་གིས་གཞན་ནས་ཉོས་པའི་བྲན་གཡོག་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མདུན་ལྤགས་བཅད་དོ།

Then Abraham took Ishmael his son and all those born in his house or bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and he circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very day, as God had said to him.

17:24  མདུན་ལྤགས་བཅད་དུས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལོ་དགུ་ཅུ་གོ་དགུ་ལོན་ཡོད་པ་དང་།

Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

17:25  ཁོའི་བུ་ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་ལོ་བཅུ་གསུམ་ལོན་ཡོད་དོ།

And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

17:26-27  ཁོང་ཕ་བུ་གཉིས་ཀའི་མདུན་ལྤགས་ཉིན་གཅིག་རང་ལ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་བྲན་གཡོག་ཚང་མ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཅད་དོ༎

That very day Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised. And all the men of his house, those born in the house and those bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
