Pilgrims in Christ – Part 25

What we can learn from the letters of Peter about practice of faith in Christ in times of uncertainty.

 

པེ་ཏྲོ་དང་པོ། 5:12-13

12 ངས་བློ་གཏད་ཆོག་པར་རྩི་བའི་སྤུན་ཟླ་སིལ་ཝ་ནུ་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ཡིག་གེ་ཐུང་ངུ་འདི་བྲིས། ཁྱེད་ཚོར་སྐུལ་ཞིང༌། ཡི་གེ་འདིར་བཀོད་པ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་རྗེ་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་པར་དཔང་པོ་བྱེད་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཡིན། དེ་ལ་བརྟན་པོར་གནས་ཤིག

13 སྦ་བི་ལོན་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ཁྱེད་རྣམས་ལྟར་བདམས་པ་དང༌། ངའི་བུ་ལྟར་ཡིན་པ་མར་ཀུས་ཁྱེད་ཚོར་འཚམས་འདྲི་ཞུ།

 

1 Peter 5:12-13

12 By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. 13 She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son.

 

Peter communicated with fellow disciples through letters and delivered in person, and through that they were informed if these disciples were still alive of went home to be with the Lord.

It was so important to encourage those who are far away and those who are near, especially those who are still alive and waiting for the return of Jesus.

It is amazing how Peter’s message have survived the last two thousand years and we are all still waiting for the return of our Lord and Savior.

We are still waiting for Messiah to return and Peter’s message is still relevant for us today.

Peter’s message follows the same established God’s pattern of warning and encouragement from prophets of old

 

ཨི་ཛི་ཀི་ཨེལ 3:16-19

16ཉིན་བདུན་སོང་བའི་རྗེས་ལ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ང་ལ་བཀའ་གནང་བྱུང་། 17ཁོང་གིས་བཀའ་གནང་བར་མི་རྟག་པའི་སྐྱེ་བོ་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཨིསི་རཱཨེལ་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཀྱི་བལྟ་རྟོགས་བྱ་མཁན་ལ་བསྐོ་བཞག་བྱ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན། ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་ཉེན་བརྡ་གསལ་བཤད་བྱས་པ་དེ་ཚོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཁོ་ཚོར་བཤད་པར་བྱའོ། 18ངས་མི་ངན་པ་ཞིག་འཆི་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་གསལ་བསྒྲགས་བྱས་ན་ཡང་། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཁོའི་སྲོག་སྐྱོབས་པའི་ཆེད་ཁོའི་ལམ་ངན་པར་བསྒྱུར་བ་གཏོང་དགོས་རྒྱུར་ཉེན་བརྡ་མ་བཏང་ན། ཁོ་སྡིག་ཅན་ལྟར་འཆི་བར་འགྱུར་བ་དང་ངས་ཁོ་འཆི་བའི་ལས་ཁག་དེ་ཁྱོད་ལ་དཀྲི་རྒྱུ་ཡིན། 19ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་མི་ངན་པ་ཞིག་ལ་ཉེན་བརྡ་བཏང་བ་དང་ཁོས་སྡིག་པ་བྱ་རྒྱུ་མཚམས་འཇོག་མ་བྱས་ན་ཁོ་སྡིག་ཅན་ལྟར་འཆི་བར་འགྱུར། འོན་ཀྱང་ཁྱོད་རང་གི་སྲོག་སྐྱོབ་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།

 

Ezekiel 3:16-19

16 After seven days the Lord gave me a message. He said, 17 “Son of man, I have appointed you as a watchman for Israel. Whenever you receive a message from me, warn people immediately. 18 If I warn the wicked, saying, ‘You are under the penalty of death,’ but you fail to deliver the warning, they will die in their sins. And I will hold you responsible for their deaths. 19 If you warn them and they refuse to repent and keep on sinning, they will die in their sins. But you will have saved yourself because you obeyed me.

 

God knows the necessity of responsible leadership to watch over the flocks.

As Peter message continue to be passed on and as we wait for the Lord’s return we will need the same encouragement and perseverance of faith.
