མད་ཐཱ། 4:8-11

8 དེ་ནས་བདུད་ཀྱིས་ཁོང་རི་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཐོ་པོ་ཞིག་ལ་ཡར་ཁྲིད་ནས་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་རྒྱལ་ཁམས་ཚང་མ་དང་དེའི་དཔལ་བསྟན་ནས་ཁོང་ལ་

9 “ང་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ན་འདི་ཚོ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཁྱེད་ལ་འབུལ་བར་བྱའོ་” ཞེས་ཟེར།

10 ཡེ་ཤུས་ཁོ་ལ་ “སཱ་ཏན། ཕར་རྒྱུགས་ཤིག གསུང་རབ་ནང་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་རང་གི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྙེན་བཀུར་ཞུ་བ་དང་ཁོང་ཁོ་ནར་ཞབས་ཕྱི་བྱེད་དགོས་ཞེས་བྲིས་འདུག་” ཅེས་གསུངས།

11 དེ་ནས་བདུད་དེ་ཁོང་དང་བྲལ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཕོ་ཉ་རྣམས་ཡོང་ཞིང་ཁོང་ལ་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ཞུས།

སྟོན་པ་ཡེ་ཤུས་ཆོས་བསྟན་འགོ་ཚུགས་པ།

 

Matthew 4:8-11

8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’”

11 Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and were ministering to him.

Study notes –

1. Jesus commanded the devil be gone invoking the commandment and teaching of God to only worship and serve God
2. Jesus kept firm to the teachings of God delivered to Moses in Deuteronomy 6:13

གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་གུས་བཀུར་བྱོས་ཤིག་དང། ཁོང་གཅིག་པོར་བསྙེན་བཀུར་ཞུས་ཞིག ཁོང་གི་མཚན་གཅིག་པོར་དམ་བཅའ་འབུལ་ཞིག

 

3. The teachings of God delivered to Moses are for those who will keep covenant with God

5 དེ་ནས་བདུད་ཀྱིས་གནས་མཆོག་ཡེ་རུ་ཤ་ལེམ་དུ་ཁྲིད་དེ་མཆོད་ཁང་ཆེན་མོའི་རྩེ་མོར་ལང་དུ་བཅུག་ནས་ཁོང་ལ་

6 “གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱེད་རང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྲས་ཡིན་ན་མར་མཆོངས་ཤིག གང་ལགས་ཟེར་ན། གསུང་རབ་ཀྱི་མདོ་ལས།

ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱེད་ཕྱིར་ཕོ་ཉ་རྣམས་ལ་ནི།།

ཁྱེད་ཉིད་སྐྱོབ་པའི་བཀའ་ཡང་གནང་བར་འགྱུར།།

རྡོ་ལ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཞབས་ནི་མི་ཕོག་ཕྱིར།།

དེ་ཚོའི་ལག་པས་ཁྱེད་ནི་འདེགས་པར་འགྱུར།།”

ཅེས་བྲིས་འདུག

7 ལན་དུ་ཡེ་ཤུས་ “གཙོ་བོ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཉམས་ཚོད་མ་བྱོས་ཤིག་ཅེས་བྲིས་འདུག་” ཅེས་གསུངས།

 

Matthew 4:5-7

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and set him on the pinnacle of the temple 6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

7 Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

 

Study notes –

1. The devil being cunning tried to influence Jesus to put God to the test by endangering His life in willful rebellious manner
2. Jesus made another reference to the teachings of God delivered through Moses in Deuteronomy 6:16

ཁྱོད་ཚོས་མ་སཱ་བྱ་བའི་གནས་སུ་གང་བྱས་པ་བཞིན་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོནམཆོག་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཚོད་ལྟ་མ་ཞུས་ཤིག

 

3. Jesus continue to overcome the devil in keeping covenant with God through firm obedience to the words and teachings of God

3 ཉམས་ཚོད་ལེན་མཁན་ཁོང་གི་དྲུང་དུ་ཡོང་ནས་ཁོང་ལ་ “ཁྱེད་རང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྲས་ཡིན་ན་རྡོ་འདི་བག་ལེབ་ཏུ་འགྱུར་བའི་བཀའ་གཏོང་ཞིག་” ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་ན།

4 ལན་དུ་ཁོང་གིས་ “གསུང་རབ་ནང་མི་ནི་བག་ལེབ་ཁོ་ནས་མ་ཡིན་ཏེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞལ་ནས་འབྱུང་བའི་བཀའ་རེ་རེར་བརྟེན་ནས་འཚོ་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་བྲིས་འདུག་” ཅེས་གསུངས།

 

Matthew 4:1-4

1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3 And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Study notes –

1. Jesus confronts the devil and overcame through obedience to the commandments of God
2. “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God’ from the direct teachings of God delivered to Moses and taught to Israel, recorded in Deuteronomy 8:3

3ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ལྟོགས་བཅུག་པ་གནང་བ་དང་། དེ་རྗེས་ཟས་སུ་མན་ན་གནང་ཞིང་། ཡང་ཁ་ཟས་དེ་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཚོ་དང་ཁྱོད་ཚོའི་མེས་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་སྔ་ནམ་ཡང་བཟའ་མ་མྱོང་བ་ཞིག་ཡིན་པ་དང་། མི་གསོན་པོར་གནས་ཕྱིར་བག་ལེབ་གཅིག་པོར་བློ་བཅོལ་ན་མི་འགྲིགས་ཤིང་། འོན་ཀྱང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞལ་ནས་ཐོན་པའི་བཀའ་རྒྱ་རེ་རེ་སྒོ་ནས་གསོན་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་སློབ་སྟོན་གནང་ཕྱིར་དེ་ལྟར་མཛད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

 

3. In conforming to the teachings and commandments of God Jesus proved to be keeping covenant with God
