བཀོད་པ 5 – Genesis 5

5:1  འདི་ནི་ཨ་དམ་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི་མིང་ཐོ་ཡིན།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མིའི་རིགས་རྣམས་བཀོད་གནང་སྐབས་དེ་ཚོར་ཁོང་རང་ཉིད་དང་འདྲ་བ་མཛད་གནང་བས།

This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.

5:2  ཕོ་མོ་གཉིས་ཀ་མཛད་གནང་ནས་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ཞིང་དེ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་མིང་འགྲོ་བ་མིའི་རིགས་བཏགས་གནང་ངོ་།

Male and female he created them, and he blessed them and named them Man when they were created.

5:3  ཨ་དམ་ལོ་  ༡༣༠  ལོན་སྐབས།  ཁོ་དང་འདྲ་བ་བུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  དེའི་མིང་ལ་སེད་བཏགས་སོ།

When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

5:4  དེ་རྗེས་ཨ་དམ་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༠༠  གསོན་པོར་ལུས་སོ།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were 800 years; and he had other sons and daughters.

5:5  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༩༣༠  ལོན་སྐབས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days that Adam lived were 930 years, and he died.

5:6  སེད་ལོ་  ༡༠༥  ལོན་སྐབས་བུ་ཨེ་ནོཤ་བྱུང་ངོ།

When Seth had lived 105 years, he fathered Enosh.

5:7  དེ་ནས་ཁོང་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༠༧  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་མང་པོ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Seth lived after he fathered Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:8  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༩༡༢  ལོན་སྐབས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Seth were 912 years, and he died.

5:9  ཨེ་ནོཤ་ལོ་དགུ་ཅུ་ལོན་སྐབས་བུ་ཀེ་ནན་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Enosh had lived 90 years, he fathered Kenan.

5:10  དེ་ནས་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༡༥  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ནས།

Enosh lived after he fathered Kenan 815 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:11  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༩༠༥  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Enosh were 905 years, and he died.

5:12  ཀེ་ནན་ལོ་བདུན་ཅུ་ལོན་ནས་བུ་མ་ཧ་ལ་ལེལ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Kenan had lived 70 years, he fathered Mahalalel.

5:13  དེ་ནས་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༤༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Kenan lived after he fathered Mahalalel 840 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:14  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༩༡༠  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Kenan were 910 years, and he died.

5:15  མ་ཧ་ལ་ལེལ་ལོ་དྲུག་ཅུ་རེ་ལྔ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་ཡ་རེད་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he fathered Jared.

5:16  དེ་ནས་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༣༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Mahalalel lived after he fathered Jared 830 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:17  དེ་རྗེས་ལོ་  ༨༩༥  ལོན་ནས་ཁོང་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Mahalalel were 895 years, and he died.

5:18  ཡ་རེད་ལོ་  ༡༦༢  ལོན་ནས་བུ་ཧ་ནོག་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Jared had lived 162 years, he fathered Enoch.

5:19  དེ་ནས་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༨༠༠  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་མང་པོ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Jared lived after he fathered Enoch 800 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:20  ལོ་  ༩༦༢  ལོན་ནས་ཁོང་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Jared were 962 years, and he died.

5:21  ཧ་ནོག་ལོ་དྲུག་ཅུ་རེ་ལྔ་ལོན་དུས་བུ་མེ་ཐུ་སེ་ལཱ་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Enoch had lived 65 years, he fathered Methuselah.

5:22  ཧ་ནོག་ལོ་  ༣༠༠  བར་དུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འགྲོགས་ཏེ་གནས་ནས།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Enoch walked with God after he fathered Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:23  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༣༦༥  བར་བཞུགས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Enoch were 365 years.

5:24  ཁོས་རང་གི་མི་ཚེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འགྲོགས་སོ།  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོང་མི་མཐོང་བར་འགྱུར་རོ།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོང་ལ་བསྣམས་པར་མཛད་དོ།

Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.

5:25  མེ་ཐུ་སེ་ལཱ་ལོ་  ༡༨༧  ལོན་དུས་བུ་ལ་མེག་བྱུང་ངོ་།

When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he fathered Lamech.

5:26  དེ་ནས་ད་དུང་ལོ་  ༧༨༢  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Methuselah lived after he fathered Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:27  ཁོང་ལོ་  ༩༦༩  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Methuselah were 969 years, and he died.

5:28  ལ་མེག་ལོ་  ༡༨༢  ལོན་དུས་བུ་གཅིག་བྱུང་བ་དང་།

When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son

5:29  ཁོས་སྨྲས་པ།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་དམོད་པ་བཏང་གནང་བའི་ས་ཞིང་ནས་ཕྲུ་གུ་འདིས་ང་ཚོ་ལ་ངལ་རྩོལ་ནས་སྐྱབས་པར་བྱེད་ཡོང་།  དེའི་རྐྱེན་ཁོའི་མིང་ལ་ནོ་ཨ་བཏགས་སོ།

and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.”

5:30  ལ་མེག་ལོ་  ༥༩༥  བཞུགས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་གཞན་ཡང་བྱུང་ངོ་།

Lamech lived after he fathered Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters.

5:31  ལོ་  ༧༧༧  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

Thus all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.

5:32  ནོ་ཨ་ལོ་  ༥༠༠  ལོན་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་བུ་གསུམ་བྱུང་བ་དང།  དེ་ཚོའི་མིང་ཤེམ་དང་། ཧམ་དང་།  ཡ་ཕེད་ཅེས་ཡིན་ནོ༎

After Noah was 500 years old, Noah fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

བཀོད་པ 4 – Genesis 4

4:1  ཨ་དམ་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་ཧ་ཝ་དང་ལུས་འབྲེལ་བྱས་པས།  མོ་རང་མངལ་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར་ཏེ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་པས།  མོས།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་རོགས་གནང་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་ང་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་བྱུང་ཞེས་ལབ་བོ།  དེར་བརྟེན་མོས་བུ་དེའི་མིང་ཀ་ཡིན་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.”

4:2  རྗེས་སུ་མོ་ལ་བུ་ཧ་བེལ་ཞེས་པ་གཞན་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  ཧ་བེལ་ནི་ལུག་རྫི་པ་ཆགས་སོ། འོན་ཀྱང་ཀ་ཡིན་ནི་ཞིང་ལས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

And again, she bore his brother Abel. Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground.

4:3  དུས་འགའ་ཞིག་གི་རྗེས་སུ་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་ཞིང་གི་སྟོན་ཐོག་འགའ་ཤས་འཁྱེར་ཡོང་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་འབུལ་བ་ཞིག་ཕུལ་ལོ།

In the course of time Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground,

4:4  དེ་ནས་ཧ་བེལ་གྱིས་རང་གི་ལུག་ཁྱུའི་ནང་ནས་ལུ་གུ་སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཤིག་འབུལ་བར་འཁྱེར་ཡོང་བ་དང་།  དེ་བསད་ནས་ཆ་ཤས་ཡག་ཤོས་དེ་འབུལ་བར་ཕུལ་ལོ།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཧ་བེལ་དང་ཁོའི་འབུལ་བར་ཐུགས་མཉེས་སོ།

and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,

4:5  འོན་ཀྱང་ཀ་ཡིན་དང་ཁོའི་འབུལ་བར་ངོས་ལེན་མ་གནང་བས།  ཀ་ཡིན་ཤིན་ཏུ་ཁོང་ཁྲོས་གདོང་ནག་པོར་བསྒྱུར་རོ།

but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell.

4:6  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཀ་ཡིན་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  ཁྱོད་ཁྲོས་ནས་གདོང་ནག་པོ་ཅི་ལ་འགྱུར་རམ།

The Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen?

4:7  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལས་ཡག་པོ་བྱེད་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་འཛུམ་དམུལ་བྱེད་རྒྱུ་ཐོབ་པ་ཡོད། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལས་ངན་བྱས་པས་སྡིག་པ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྒོའི་འགྲམ་དུ་ཡོང་ནས་སྒུག་ཡོད།  དེས་ཁྱོད་ལ་དབང་བྱེད་འདོད་ཡོད། འོན་ཀྱང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དེ་ལ་དབང་བྱས་ཐུབ་དགོས།

If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.”

4:8  དེ་ནས་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་རང་གི་སྤུན་ཧ་བེལ་ལ་ཞིང་ཁའི་ནང་འགྲོ་ཞེས་ལབ་པ་དང་།  ཞིང་ཁའི་དཀྱིལ་དུ་བསླེབས་པ་དང་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་ཁོའི་སྤུན་ལ་འཐབ་ནས་ཁོ་ལ་བསད་དོ།

Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.

4:9  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཀ་ཡིན་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྤུན་ཧ་བེལ་ག་རུ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་གནང་བས།  དེའི་ལན་དུ་ཁོས། ངས་མི་ཤེས།  ང་ངའི་སྤུན་གྱི་བལྟ་རྟོགས་བྱ་མཁན་རེད་དམ་ཞེས་ལན་ཞུས་སོ།

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know; am I my brother’s keeper?”

4:10  དེ་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་གསུངས་པ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལས་ངན་དེ་ལྟར་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ནམ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྤུན་གྱི་ཁྲག་གིས་དགྲ་ལན་ལེན་པའི་ཕྱིར་ས་ནས་ང་ལ་འབོད་བཞིན་པ་གོ་གི་འདུག

And the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to me from the ground.

4:11  ཁྱོད་ལ་དམོད་པ་ཕོག་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ད་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཞིང་ལས་བྱས་མི་ཐུབ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སྤུན་ལ་བསད་སྐབས་ས་གཞིས་རང་གི་ཁ་ཕྱེས་ཏེ་ཁྲག་འཐུང་བ་ལྟར་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྤུན་གྱི་ཁྲག་གིས་ས་གཞི་འབང་ནས་ཡོད།

And now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.

4:12  གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་སོན་འདེབས་པར་ཐབས་ཤེས་བྱས་ནའང་ས་གཞིས་སྟོན་ཐོག་གང་ཡང་སྤྲད་མི་ཡོང་།  ཁྱོད་ནི་ཁྱིམ་མེད་འཛམ་གླིང་ནང་འཁྱམས་ཏེ་བསྡད་མཁན་ཞིག་ཏུ་འགྱུར་ཡོང་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you its strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth.”

4:13  ཡང་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ།  དེ་ནི་ངས་བཟོད་མི་པའི་ཉེས་པ་ཁག་པོ་རེད་ཅེས་ཞུས་སོ།

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is greater than I can bear.

4:14  ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་ལ་ས་གཞི་དང་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་སྐུ་དྲུང་ནས་བཏོན་པ་གནང་བཞིན་ཡོད།  ང་ནི་ཁྱིམ་མེད་བྱུང་སྟེ་འཇིག་རྟན་ནང་འཁྱམས་ནས་བསྡད་མཁན་དུ་འགྱུར་ཏེ།  སུ་ཞིག་གིས་ང་ལ་རྙེད་ན་བསད་ཡོང་ཞེས་ལབ་བོ།

Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

4:15  འོན་ཀྱང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ལན་དུ་དེ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན།  གལ་ཏེ་སུ་ཞིག་གིས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བསད་ན་དགྲ་ལེན་དུ་སྲོག་བདུན་ལྡབ་ལེན་པར་འགྱུར།  དེར་བརྟེན་ཁོ་ལ་འཕྲད་མཁན་སུ་ཞིག་གི་ཁོ་ལ་མི་བསད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཟོན་བརྡ་སྤྲད་ཕྱིར་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཀ་ཡིན་ཐོག་ཏུ་རྟགས་ཤིག་རྒྱབ་བོ།

Then the Lord said to him, “Not so! If anyone kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.

4:16  ཡང་ཀ་ཡིན་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་དྲུང་ནས་སོང་སྟེ།  ཨེ་དྷེན་གྱི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་ཡོད་པའི་ས་ཆ་འཁྱམས་ཉུལ་ཞེས་པར་གནས་སོ༎

Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

4:17  ཀ་ཡིན་དང་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། ཁོའི་མིང་ཧ་ནོག་བཏགས་སོ།  དེ་ནས་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཞིག་བཟོས་ཏེ།  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་ལ་རང་གི་བུའི་མིང་ལྟར་ཧ་ནོག་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. When he built a city, he called the name of the city after the name of his son, Enoch.

4:18  ཧ་ནོག་ལས་བུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  མིང་ལ་ཨི་རད་བཏགས་སོ།  ཁོ་ནི་མེ་ཧུ་ཡ་ཨེལ་གྱི་ཕ་ཡིན་ནོ།  མེ་ཧུ་ཡ་ཨེལ་ལ་མེ་ཐུ་ཤ་ཨེལ་ཞེས་པའི་བུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  ཁོ་ནི་ལ་མེག་གི་ཕ་ཡིན་ནོ།

To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad fathered Mehujael, and Mehujael fathered Methushael, and Methushael fathered Lamech.

4:19  ལ་མེག་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཨ་དཱ་དང་ཛིལ་ལཱ་ཞེས་པ་གཉིས་ཡོད་པའོ།

And Lamech took two wives. The name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

4:20  ཨ་དཱ་ལ་བུ་ཡ་བྷལ་ཞེས་པ་སྐྱེས་པ་དང་།  ཁོ་ནི་འགུར་ནང་སྡོད་མཁན་འབྲོག་པའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི་ཕ་མེས་ཡིན།

Adah bore Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.

4:21  ཁོའི་སྤུན་ཡུ་བྷལ་ཞེས་པ་ནི་གླིང་བུ་དང་པི་ཝང་གཏོང་མཁན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཕ་མེས་ཡིན་ནོ།

His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe.

4:22  ཛིལ་ལཱ་ནས་ཏུ་བྷལ་ཀ་ཡིན་སྐྱེས་སོ།  ཁོས་ལྕགས་དང་ལི་སོགས་ནས་ལག་ཆ་འདྲ་མིན་བཟོ་གི་ཡོད་དོ།  ཏུ་བྷལ་ཀ་ཡིན་གྱི་སྲིང་མོའི་མིང་ལ་ན་མཱ་ཡིན་ནོ།

Zillah also bore Tubal-cain; he was the forger of all instruments of bronze and iron. The sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

4:23  ལ་མེག་གིས་རང་གི་ཆུང་མ་ཨ་དཱ་དང་ཛིལ་ལཱ་གཉིས་ལ།  ངའི་གཏམ་ལ་ཉོན་ཞིག། ངས་སྐྱེས་པ་ན་གཞོན་ཞིག་བསད་པ་ཡིན།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  ཁོས་ང་ལ་བརྡུང་བྱུང་།

Lamech said to his wives: “Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say: I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me.

4:24  གལ་ཏེ་ཀ་ཡིན་བསད་མཁན་ལ་སྲོག་བདུན་ལྡབ་བླངས་བ་ཡིན་ན།  སུ་ཞིག་གིས་ང་ལ་བསད་པ་ཡིན་ན།  དེའི་ལེན་དུ་བདུན་ཅུ་དོན་བདུན་དགྲ་ལན་བླངས་པར་འགྱུར༎

If Cain’s revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech’s is seventy-sevenfold.”

4:25  ཨ་དམ་དང་ཁོའི་ཆུང་མ་ཧ་ཝ་ལ་བུ་གཞན་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  ཀ་ཡིན་གྱིས་ཧ་བེལ་བསད་པས།  ཁོའི་ཚབ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ང་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་གནང་བྱུང་ཞེས་མོས་ལབ་བོ།  དེར་བརྟེན་ཁོའི་མིང་ལ་སེད་བཏགས་སོ།

And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, “God has appointed for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him.”

4:26  སེད་ལ་བུ་ཞིག་བྱུང་ངོ་།  དེའི་མིང་ཨེ་ནོཤ་བཏགས་སོ།  དེའི་དུས་ནས་མི་དམངས་ཚོས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་དམ་པའི་མཚན་ལ་མཆོད་པ་འབུལ་འགོ་འཛུགས་པའོ༎

To Seth also a son was born, and he called his name Enosh. At that time people began to call upon the name of the Lord.

བཀོད་པ 3 – Genesis 3

3:1  དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མཛད་པའི་སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལས་སྦྲུལ་ནི་གཡོ་སྒྱུ་ཅན་ཡིན་པས།  དེ་ཡིས་བུད་མེད་ལ་འདྲི་པ།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ལྡུམ་རའི་ཤིང་སྡོང་གང་ཞིག་གི་འབྲས་བུ་ལས་བདེན་པར་མ་ཟ་ཞེས་བཀའ་གནང་ངམ།

Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?”

3:2  ལན་དུ་བུད་མེད་ཀྱིས་སྦྲུལ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ།  ལྡུམ་རའི་ནང་གི་ཤིང་སྡོང་གི་འབྲས་བུ་གང་ཞིག་ང་ཚོས་ཟ་ཐུབ།

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden,

3:3  འོན་ཀྱང་ལྡུམ་རའི་དཀྱིལ་གྱི་ཤིང་གི་འབྲས་བུ་དེ་ང་ཚོས་ཟ་མི་ཆོག།  ལག་པ་ཡང་འཆང་མི་ཆོག།  གལ་སྲིད་ང་ཚོས་དེ་ལྟར་བྱས་ན་ང་ཚོ་ཤི་ཡོང་ཞེས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་སོ།

but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’”

3:4  ལན་དུ་སྦྲུལ་གྱིས།  དེ་ནི་བདེན་པ་མིན།  ཁྱོད་ཚོ་ཤི་མི་ཡོང་།

But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.

3:5  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་དེ་ལྟར་གསུངས་དགོས་པའི་རྐྱེན་ནི།  ཁྱོད་ཚོས་ཤིང་འབྲས་དེ་ལས་ཟས་ན།  མིག་ཕྱེ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འདྲ་བར་བྱུང་ནས།  བཟང་ངན་ཤེས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་ཁོང་གིས་མཁྱེན་ནོ།

For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

3:6  དེར་བུད་མེད་ཀྱིས་ཤིང་འབྲས་དེ་ལ་བལྟས་ཏེ།  དེ་མཛེས་པོ་མཐོང་བ་དང་།  ཟས་ན་ཞིམ་པོ་དང་།  མཁས་པ་བྱུང་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཡིད་དུ་འོང་བ་མཐོང་བ་དང་།  དེར་བརྟེན་དེའི་འབྲས་བུ་ཁ་ཤས་བླངས་ནས་ཟས་པས།  རང་གི་ཁྱོ་ལའང་སྟེར་ནས་ཁོས་ཡང་ཟས་སོ།

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.

3:7  ཁོ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་དེ་ཟས་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་ཁོ་ཚོས་གོ་དོན་རྟོགས་ཐུབ་པའི་ནུས་པ་རྙེད་ནས་རང་ཉིད་གཅེར་བུ་ཡོད་པ་ཧ་གོ་བ་རེད།  དེར་བརྟེན་སེ་ཡབ་ཤིང་གི་ལོ་མ་སྦྲེལ་ཏེ་སྡོམ་རས་བྱས་སོ།

Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

3:8  དགོང་དྲོའི་དུས་སུ་ལྡུམ་རའི་ནང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་སྐུ་ཆམ་ཕེབས་པའི་སྒྲ་ཐོས་ནས།  ཁོང་གཉིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་དྲུང་ནས་བྲོས་ཤིང་ལྡུམ་རའི་ཤིང་སྡོང་ཚོའི་དཀྱིལ་དུ་ཡིབ་བོ།

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

3:9  འོན་ཀྱང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མི་ལ་འབོད་ཅིང་།  ཁྱོད་རང་ག་རུ་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་འདྲི་པས།

But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”

3:10  ཁོས་ལན་དུ།  ཁྱེད་ལྡུམ་རའི་ནང་ཕེབས་པའི་སྒྲ་ཐོས་ཏེ་ང་འཇིགས་ནས་ཁྱེད་ནས་ཡིབ་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།  གང་ལ་ཞེ་ན།  ང་གཅེར་བུ་ཡོད་དོ།

And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.”

3:11  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས།  ཁྱོད་གཅེར་བུ་འདུག་ཅེས་སུས་ལབ་བམ།  ངས་ཟ་མི་ཆོག་ལབ་པའི་འབྲས་བུ་ལས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཟས་པ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་བཀའ་དྲིས་གནང་ངོ་།

He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”

3:12  མིས་ལན་དུ།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་དེར་བཞག་གནང་བའི་བུད་མེད་ཀྱིས་ཤིང་འབྲས་ང་ལ་སྟེར་བས།  ངས་ཟས་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ཞུས་སོ།

The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.”

3:13  དཀོནམཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བུད་མེད་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་འདི་འདྲ་ཅིའི་ཕྱིརབྱས་པ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་གནང་བས།  ལན་དུ་བུད་མེད་ཀྱིས་སྦྲུལ་གྱིས་ང་ལ་མགོ་བསྐོར་བཏང་བས་ངས་ཤིང་འབྲས་ཟས་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ཞུས་སོ༎

Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

3:14  དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་སྦྲུལ་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ལ་དེའི་ཕྱིར་ཆད་པ་ཕོག་ཡོང་།  སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ནང་ནས་ཁྱོད་གཅིག་པུར་དམོད་པ་ཕོག་པར་འགྱུར།  ད་ནས་ཕྱིན་ཆད་ཁྱོད་ལྟོ་བས་འགྲོ་དགོས་བྱུང་ཡོང་།  ནམ་འཚོའི་བར་དུ་ཐལ་བ་ཟ་བར་འགྱུར་ཅིག་ཅེས་གསུངས་སོ།

The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all livestock and above all beasts of the field; on your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.

3:15  ངས་ཁྱོད་དང་བུད་མེད་གཉིས་བར་ལ་སྡང་བར་བྱེད་བཅུག་གི་ཡིན།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བརྒྱུད་དང་མོའི་བརྒྱུད་ཀྱི་བར་ཕན་ཚུན་དགྲ་བོར་འགྱུར་ཡོང་།  མོའི་བརྒྱུད་པས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མགོ་བརྫིས་པ་དང་།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་མོའི་བརྒྱུད་པའི་རྟིང་པར་སོ་བཏབ་ཡོང་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

3:16  ཁོང་གིས་བུད་མེད་ལ།  ངས་ཁྱོད་རང་མངལ་དང་འགྱུར་དུས་སྡུག་བསྔལ་དང་ཕྲུ་གུ་སྐྱེས་དུས་ཟུག་གཟེར་མང་རུ་གཏོང་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།  ཡིན་ཡང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་འདོད་པ་དེ་ད་དུང་ཁྱོའི་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།  ཡང་ཁོས་ཁྱོད་ལ་དབང་བྱེད་ཡོང་།

To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.”

3:17  ཁོང་གིས་མི་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རང་གི་ཆུང་མའི་ཁ་ལ་ཉན་ཏེ།  ངས་ཟ་མི་ཆོག་ལབ་པའི་ཤིང་འབྲས་ལས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཟས་པས།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་དེ་འདྲ་བྱས་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ས་ཞིང་ཐོག་ཏུ་དམོད་ཕོག་པར་བྱའོ།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཁ་ཟས་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཚེ་གང་ངལ་རྩོལ་དྲག་པོ་རྒྱབ་དགོས་སོ།

And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you,  ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

3:18  ས་ཞིང་དེས་རྩ་ངན་དང་ཚེར་མ་སྐྱེས་པ་དང་།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ནགས་ཀྱི་སྔོ་ཚལ་རྣམས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཟ་དགོས་སོ།

thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field.

3:19  ཁྱོད་ཐལ་བར་མ་ལོག་བར་དུ་ས་ལས་གང་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཕྱིར་རྔུལ་ནག་འདོན་ཏེ་ལས་ཀ་ཧུར་བརྩོན་བྱེད་དགོས།  ཁྱོད་ནི་ཐལ་བ་ནས་བཟོས་པ་ཡིན་པས།  ཁྱོད་སྐྱར་དུ་ཐལ་བར་འགྱུར་ཡོང་གསུངས་སོ།

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

3:20  ཨ་དམ་གྱིས་རང་གི་ཆུང་མའི་མིང་ལ་ཧ་ཝ་བཏགས་སོ།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  མོ་ནི་མིའི་རིགས་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།

The man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.

3:21  དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨ་དམ་དང་ཁོའི་ཆུང་མ་ལ་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་ལྤགས་པའི་གོས་བཟོས་པ་གནང་ནས་ཁོང་ཚོ་ལ་བསྐོན་པར་མཛད་དོ༎

And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.

3:22  དེ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པ།  མིས་བཟང་ངན་ཤེས་ཏེ་ང་ཚོ་དང་འདྲ་བར་འགྱུར་བས།  དེ་དག་ལ་སྲོག་གི་འབྲས་བུ་ལས་ཟ་བཅུག་མི་རུང་།  དེ་མིན་ཁོང་ཚོ་གཏན་དུ་གསོན་པོར་གནས་ཡོང་།

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—”

3:23  དེར་བརྟེན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་ཨེ་དྷེན་གྱི་ལྡུམ་ར་ནས་བཏོན་གནང་བ་དང་།  ཁོ་ཚོར་བཟོས་པའི་ས་གཞི་དེ་རང་ལ་ཞིང་ལས་བྱས་བཅུག་གོ

therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.

3:24  དེ་ནས་ཁོང་གིས་ལྡུམ་རའི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་ཀེ་རུབ་རྣམས་མེ་འབར་བའི་རལ་གྲི་ཕྱོགས་ཚང་མར་བསྐོར་བ་རྒྱབ་མཁན་ཞིག་བཞག་གནང་བ་དང་།  སུ་ཞིག་ཀྱང་གསོན་པོའི་ཤིང་སྡོང་གི་འགྲམ་དུ་སླེབས་མ་ཐུབ་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་དེ་ལྟར་གནང་བ་ཡིན་ནོ༎

He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life.
