བཀོད་པ 26 – Genesis 26

26:1  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དུས་སུ་ཡུལ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་བྱུང་བའི་མུ་གེ་སྔོན་མའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡང་མུ་གེ་གཞན་ཞིག་བྱུང་བས།  ཨི་སཱག་ཡུལ་གྷེ་རར་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕེ་ལེ་ཤེད་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་བྱ་བའི་རྩར་ཕྱིན་ནོ།

Now there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Gerar to Abimelech king of the Philistines.

26:2  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་ཞལ་གཟིགས་གནང་ནས།  ཁྱོད་ཨི་ཇིབ་དུ་མ་འགྲོ་ཞིག།  ངས་བསྟན་པའི་ཡུལ་ནང་སྡོད་ཅིག་གསུངས་སོ།

And the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you.

26:3  འདིར་སྡོད་ཅིག་དང་།  ང་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གནས་ནས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་ཏེ་མངའ་ཁུལ་འདི་ཐམས་ཅད་ཁྱོད་དང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ལ་སྤྲད་པར་བྱའོ།  ངས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་བྱས་པའི་དམ་བཅའ་ཆ་ཚང་སྒྲུབ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

26:4  ནམ་མཁའི་སྐར་མ་ལྟར་ངས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་སྤེལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་ལ་ཡུལ་འདི་ཐམས་ཅད་སྤྲད་པ་དང་།  ངས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲད་པ་ལྟར།  མི་རིགས་ཚང་མས་ང་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་ཞུ་བར་བྱའོ།

I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

26:5  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ངའི་བཀའ་ལ་སྲུང་བ་དང་ངའི་སྤྲད་པའི་བཀའ་བསྒོ་བ་རྣམས་དང་།  ངའི་བཀའ་རྒྱ་རྣམས་དང་ངའི་ཁྲིམས་རྣམས་དང་ངའི་ལུགས་སྲོལ་རྣམས་སྲུང་བས་ངའི་ཁྱོད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

26:6  དེར་བརྟེན་ཨི་སཱག་ཡུལ་གྷེ་རར་ནང་གནས་སོ།

So Isaac settled in Gerar.

26:7  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ནི་བལྟ་བ་ལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་མཛེས་པོ་ཡོད་པས།  སྐྱེས་པ་ཚོས་ཨི་སཱག་གི་ཆུང་མའི་སྐོར་འདྲི་རྩད་བྱེད་སྐབས་མོ་འཕྲོག་ནས་ཁོ་ལ་བསད་ཡོང་ཞེས་ཁོ་འཇིགས་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་རི་བེ་ཀ་ཁོའི་སྲིང་མོ་ཡིན་ཞེས་བཤད་དོ།

When the men of the place asked him about his wife, he said, “She is my sister,” for he feared to say, “My wife,” thinking, “lest the men of the place should kill me because of Rebekah,” because she was attractive in appearance.

26:8  ཨི་སཱག་ཡུན་རིང་ཞིག་ས་གནས་དེར་བསྡད་ནས།  ཕེ་ལེ་ཤེད་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་གིས་ཉིན་གཅིག་སྒེ་ཁུང་ནས་ལྟ་སྐབས།  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་བྱམས་བརྩེ་བྱས་པ་མཐོང་ངོ་།

When he had been there a long time, Abimelech king of the Philistines looked out of a window and saw Isaac laughing with Rebekah his wife.

26:9  རྒྱལ་པོས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་བོས་ནས།  རི་བེ་ཀ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྲིང་མོ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ག་རེའི་དོན་དུ་རྫུན་བཤད་དམ།  མོ་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཆུང་མ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ངས་ཤེས་སོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པས།  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ལན་དུ།  ངའི་ཆུང་མ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ལབ་ན་ང་ལ་བསད་ཡོང་བསམ་བྱུང་ཞེས་ལབ་པ་དང་།

So Abimelech called Isaac and said, “Behold, she is your wife. How then could you say, ‘She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him, “Because I thought, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”

26:10  ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ང་ཚོ་ལ་འདི་ལྟར་ག་རེའི་དོན་དུ་བྱས་སམ།  མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་ནས་གཅིག་གིས་སྣང་མེད་དུ་རིབེ་ཀ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཉལ་ན།  ང་ཚོའི་ཉེས་ཆད་ཀྱི་འགན་དེ་ཁྱོད་ཐོག་འཕོག་པར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་སྨྲསོ།

Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might easily have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt upon us.”

26:11  དེ་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་གིས་མི་དམངས་ལ།  མི་སུས་ཀྱང་ཨི་སཱག་དང་ཁོའི་ཆུང་མ་མཉམ་དུ་ངན་སེམས་བྱས་ན་གསོད་པར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་ཟོན་བརྡ་བཏང་ངོ་།

So Abimelech warned all the people, saying, “Whoever touches this man or his wife shall surely be put to death.”

26:12  ཨི་སཱག་གི་སྒོ་ནས་ཡུལ་དེར་ས་བོན་བཏབ་ནས་ལོ་དེ་རང་ལ་བརྒྱ་འགྱུར་གྱི་འབྲས་བུ་ཐོབ་བོ།  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོ་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ངོ་།

And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The Lord blessed him,

26:13  ཁོ་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་ཡར་རྒྱས་འཕེལ་ཞིང་མི་ཕྱུག་པོ་ཞིག་ཏུ་གྱུར་ཏོ།

and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy.

26:14  ཨི་སཱག་ལ་ར་ལུག་དང་།  བ་ཕྱུགས་དང་།  གཡོག་པོ་མང་པོ་ཡོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཕེ་ལེ་ཤེད་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁོ་ལ་ཕྲག་དོག་བྱས་སོ།

He had possessions of flocks and herds and many servants, so that the Philistines envied him.

26:15  དེར་བརྟེན་དེ་ཚོས་ཕ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དུས་སུ་གཡོག་པོས་བྲུས་པས་ཁྲོན་པ་རྣམས་སས་བཀབ་བོ།

(Now the Philistines had stopped and filled with earth all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father.)

26:16  དེ་ནས་ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་གིས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ང་ཚོ་ལས་དབང་ཆེ་བར་འགྱུར་བས། ང་ཚོའི་ས་གནས་ནས་ཕར་སོང་ཞིག་སྨྲས་སོ།

And Abimelech said to Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are much mightier than we.”

26:17  དེར་བརྟེན་ཨི་སཱག་དེ་ནས་སོང་སྟེ་གྷེ་རར་གྱི་ལུང་གཤོང་དུ་སྒར་བཏབ་ནས་དུས་ཚོད་གང་ཞིག་དེར་གནས་སོ།

So Isaac departed from there and encamped in the Valley of Gerar and settled there.

26:18  ཕ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དུས་སུ་བྲུས་པའི་ཁྲོན་པ་དེ་དག་ཁོང་གྲོངས་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་ཕེ་ལེ་ཤེད་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སས་བཀབ་བོ།  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཁྲོན་པ་དེ་རྣམས་སྐྱར་དུ་བྲུས་ཤིང་རང་གི་ཕས་མིང་བཏགས་པ་དེ་རང་བཏགས་སོ།

And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham. And he gave them the names that his father had given them.

26:19  ཨི་སཱག་གི་གཡོག་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ལུང་གཤོང་དུ་ཁྲོན་པ་བྲུས་ཏེ་ཆུ་ཐོབ་བོ།

But when Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and found there a well of spring water,

26:20  ཡུལ་གྷེ་རར་གྱི་རྫི་བོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཆུ་དེ་ཁོང་ཚོའི་ཡིན་ཟེར་ཏེ་ཨི་སཱག་གི་རྫི་བོ་རྣམས་དང་རྩོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཁྲོན་པ་དེའི་མིང་རྩོད་པ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.

26:21  ཨི་སཱག་གི་གཡོག་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྲོན་པ་གཞན་ཞིག་བྲུས་པས།  དེའི་སྐོར་ཡང་འཁོན་འཛིན་བྱུང་བའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁྲོན་པའི་མིང་ལ་འཁོན་འཛིན་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།

Then they dug another well, and they quarreled over that also, so he called its name Sitnah.

26:22  ས་ཆ་གཞན་ཞིག་ཏུ་ཁོང་སྤོས་ཏེ་ཁྲོན་པ་གཞན་ཞིག་བྲུས་པ་དང་།  འདི་ལ་རྩོད་པ་གང་ཡང་མ་བྱུང་བའི་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཁྲོན་པ་དེའི་མིང་རང་དབང་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།  ཨི་སཱག་གིས།  ས་ཆ་འདིར་བསྡད་པ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ང་ཚོར་རང་དབང་གནང་ཡོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ང་ཚོ་ཡར་རྒྱས་འབྱུང་བར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

And he moved from there and dug another well, and they did not quarrel over it. So he called its name Rehoboth, saying, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.”

26:23  ས་ཆ་དེ་ནས་ཨི་སཱག་བྷིར་ཤེ་བྷ་རུ་སོང་ངོ་།

From there he went up to Beersheba.

26:24  མཚན་དེར་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་ཞལ་མཇལ་གནང་ནས།  ང་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཡིན་པས།  ང་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་དུས་རྒྱུན་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁྱོད་མ་འཇིགས་ཤིག  ངས་ངའི་བྲན་པོ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་དམ་བཅའ་བྱས་པ་ལྟར་ཁྱོད་ལ་བུ་བརྒྱུད་མང་པོ་བྱུང་ནས་ཁྱོད་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་པར་འགྱུར་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

And the Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Fear not, for I am with you and will bless you and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”

26:25  ས་གནས་དེར་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་མཆོད་ཁྲི་ཞིག་བཟོས་ཏེ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་མཆོད་འབུལ་བྱེད་དོ།  དེ་ནས་དེར་ཁོང་གིས་གུར་ཕུབ་ནས་གཡོག་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁྲོན་པ་ཞིག་བྲུས་སོ༎

So he built an altar there and called upon the name of the Lord and pitched his tent there. And there Isaac’s servants dug a well.

26:26  དེ་ནས་ཡུལ་གྷེ་རར་ནས་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཨ་བྷི་མེ་ལེག་དང་།  ཁོང་གི་གྲོས་སྟོན་པ་ཨ་ཧུཛ་ཛད་དང་།  ཁོང་གི་དམག་སྤྱི་ཕི་ཀོལ་བཅས་ཨི་སཱག་ཐུག་ཏུ་ཡོང་ངོ་།

When Abimelech went to him from Gerar with Ahuzzath his adviser and Phicol the commander of his army,

26:27  དེར་བརྟེན་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་དེ་དག་ལ།  ཁྱོད་ཚོས་ང་ལ་དགྲ་བྱས་ཏེ་ཡུལ་ནས་བཏོན་པས།  ད་ག་རེའི་དོན་དུ་ངའི་རྩར་ཡོང་བ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།

Isaac said to them, “Why have you come to me, seeing that you hate me and have sent me away from you?”

26:28  ཁོང་ཚོས་ལན་དུ།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁྱོད་དང་མཉམ་དུ་བཞུགས་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ང་ཚོས་ཤེས་པས།  ང་གཉིས་ཀྱི་བར་ལ་ཁ་ཆད་གཅིག་བྱེད་དགོས་བསམ་བྱུང་།

They said, “We see plainly that the Lord has been with you. So we said, let there be a sworn pact between us, between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,

26:29  ང་ཚོས་ཁྱེད་ལ་གནོད་པ་མ་བྱས་པ་ལྟར་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཀྱང་ང་ཚོར་གནོད་པ་མ་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ང་ཚོ་མཉམ་དུ་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་བ་ང་ཚོས་འདོད་དོ།  ང་ཚོས་ཁྱེད་ལ་སྙིང་རྗེ་བྱེད་ནས་ཞི་བདེ་བར་འགྲོར་བཅུག་གོ  ད་ལྟ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁྱེད་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རླབས་པ་དེ་གསལ་པོར་ཆགས་སོ།

that you will do us no harm, just as we have not touched you and have done to you nothing but good and have sent you away in peace. You are now the blessed of the Lord.”

26:30  དེ་ནས་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་དེ་ཚོའི་ཆེད་དུ་མགྲོན་ཞིག་བཤམས་པས་དེ་ཚོས་བཟའ་ཞིང་འཐུང་ངོ་།

So he made them a feast, and they ate and drank.

26:31  སང་ཞོགས་སྔ་དྲོ་ཁོང་གཉིས་ཀས་དམ་བཅའ་བྱས་ཏེ་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་བ་དང་།  དེ་ནས་ཨི་སཱག་གིས་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་བཏང་ངོ་།  དེ་ཚོ་ཞི་བདེར་ངང་ཕྱིར་ལོག་གོ།

In the morning they rose early and exchanged oaths. And Isaac sent them on their way, and they departed from him in peace.

26:32  ཉིན་དེ་རང་ལ་ཨི་སཱག་གི་གཡོག་པོ་རྣམས་ཁོང་གི་དྲུང་དུ་ཡོང་ནས།  དེ་ཚོས་བྲུས་པའི་ཁྲོན་པའི་སྐོར་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་སྨྲས་ཏེ།  དེ་ཚོས་ང་ཚོ་ལ་ཆུ་ཐོབ་བྱུང་ཞེས་ཞུས་སོ།

That same day Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well that they had dug and said to him, “We have found water.”

26:33  ཨི་སག་གིས་ཁྲོན་པའི་མིང་ལ་མནའ་ཞེས་བཏགས་སོ།  དེའི་ཕྱིར་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་མིང་ཡང་བིར་ཤེ་བ་བྱུང་ངོ་།།

He called it Shibah; therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day.

26:34  ཨེ་སའོ་ལོ་  བཞི་བཅུ་ལོན་པ་དང་ཧི་ཏི་པའི་ཡུལ་གྱི་བུད་མེད་གཉིས་དང་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་བོ།  གཅིག་ནི་བྷི་རིའི་བུ་མོ་ཡུ་དིད་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་དང་།  གཞན་དེ་ནི་ཨེ་ལོན་གྱི་བུ་མོ་བྷ་སི་མད་ཞེས་པའོ།

When Esau was forty years old, he took Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite to be his wife, and Basemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite,

26:35  ཆུང་མ་དེ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཨི་སཱག་དང་རེ་བྷེ་ཀའི་མི་ཚེའི་ནང་བཀའ་བསྔལ་བྱུང་ངོ་༎

and they made life bitter for Isaac and Rebekah.

བཀོད་པ 25 – Genesis 25

25:1  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཀེ་ཏུ་རཱ་བྱ་བ་བུད་མེད་གཞན་ཞིག་དང་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་བོ།

Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah.

25:2  མོས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ནས་ཛིམ་རན་དང་།  ཡོག་ཤན།  མེ་དན།  མིད་ཡན།  ཨིཤི་བག་དང་།  ཤུ་ཨཱ་བཅས་སྐྱེས་སོ།

She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.

25:3  ཡོག་ཤན་ནི་ཤེ་བྷ་དང་དྷེ་དན་གྱི་ཕ་ཡིན་ནོ།  དེ་དཱན་གྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་ནི་ཨསེ་ཤུ་རིམ་དང་།  ལེ་ཏུ་ཤིམ་རྣམས་དང་།  ལེའུ་མིམ་རྣམས་ཡིན་ནོ།

Jokshan fathered Sheba and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.

25:4  མིད་ཡན་གྱི་བུ་རྣམས་ནི་ཨེ་ཕཱ་དང་།  ཨེ་ཕེར།  ཧ་ནོག།  ཨ་བྷི་ད་དང་།  ཨེལ་དཱ་ཡིན་ནོ།  དེ་ཐམས་ཅད་ནི་ཀེ་ཏུ་རཱའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ཡིན་ནོ།

The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.

25:5  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་རྒྱུ་ནོར་ཐམས་ཅད་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་གནང་ངོ་།

Abraham gave all he had to Isaac.

25:6  འོན་ཀྱང་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་ཆུང་མ་གཞན་རྣམས་ནས་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཕྲུ་གུ་རྣམས་ལ་ཁོང་གྲོངས་པའི་སྔོན་དུ་ཕྲུ་གུ་དེ་རྣམས་ལ་རྔན་པ་རྣམས་གནང་ནས་ཨི་སཱག་ནས་ལོགས་སུ་ཡུལ་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་སུ་བཏང་ངོ་༎

But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward to the east country.

25:7-8  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལོ་  ༡༧༥  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life, 175 years.  Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

25:9  ཁོང་གི་བུ་རྣམས་ཨི་སཱག་དང་ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་གྱིས་ཁོང་གི་ཕུང་པོ་མག་པེ་ལ་ཞེས་པའི་བྲག་ཕུག་ནང་སྦས་སོ།  བྲག་ཕུག་དེ་ནི་ཧི་ཏི་པ་ཛོ་ཧར་གྱི་བུ་ཨེཕ་རོན་ཞེས་པ་དེའི་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  མམ་རེའི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་ཞིང་དུ་ཡོད་པའོ།

Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, east of Mamre,

25:10  ས་ཞིང་དེ་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱིས་ཧི་ཏི་པ་རྣམས་ནས་ཉོས་པ་དེ་ཡིན་ཏེ།  དེར་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་དང་ས་རཱ་གཉིས་ཀར་དུར་དུ་སྦས་སོ།

the field that Abraham purchased from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried, with Sarah his wife.

25:11  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྲོངས་པའི་རྗེས་སུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ངོ་།  ཁོང་ནི་ང་ལ་མཐོང་བ་གནང་མཁན་གསོན་པོའི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཁྲོན་པ་ཡོད་པའི་ས་གནས་དེའི་ཉེ་འགྲམ་དུ་གནས་ཡོད་དོ༎

After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi.

25:12  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ས་རཱའི་བྲན་མོ་ཨི་ཇིབ་པ་ཧ་གྷར་ལས་སྐྱེས་པའི་བུ་ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་གྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་མིང་ཐོ་འདི་ལྟར་ཡིན།

These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.

25:13  ན་བ་ཡོད་དང་།  ཀེ་དར།  ཨད་བིལ།  མིབ་སམ།

These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,

25:14  མིཤི་མ།  དྷུ་མཱ།  མསེ་ས།

Mishma, Dumah, Massa,

25:15  ཧ་དྷད།  ཏེ་མ།  ཡེེ་ཏུར།  ན་ཕིཤི་དང་།  ཀེ་དེ་མཱ་བཅས་སོ།

Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.

25:16  ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་གྱི་བུ་རྣམས་ནི་སྡེ་རིགས་བཅུ་གཉིས་ཀྱི་ཕ་མེས་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  དེ་ཚོའི་ཡུལ་དང་སྒར་རྣམས་ཁོང་ཚོའི་མིང་བཞིན་བཏགས་སོ།

These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages and by their encampments, twelve princes according to their tribes.

25:17  ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་ལོ་  ༡༣༧  ལོན་ནས་གྲོངས་སོ།

(These are the years of the life of Ishmael: 137 years. He breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.)

25:18  ཨིཤ་མ་ཨེལ་གྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་རྣམས་ཡུལ་ཧ་ཝི་ལཱ་དང་ཤུར་གྱི་བར་ལ་གནས་ཡོད་པས། ས་གནས་དེ་ནི་ཨི་ཇིབ་ཀྱི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་ཡུལ་ཨ་སུར་རུ་འགྲོ་བའི་ལམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའོ།  དེ་ཚོ་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་གཞན་ནས་ལོགས་སུ་གནས་སོ༎

They settled from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt in the direction of Assyria. He settled[a] over against all his kinsmen.

25:19  འདི་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་བུ་ཨི་སཱག་གི་ལོ་རྒྱུས་ཡིན་ནོ།

These are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham fathered Isaac,

25:20  ཨི་སཱག་ལོ་བཞི་བཅུ་ལོན་སྐབས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་བོ།  རི་བེ་ཀའི་ཕ་ནི་པ་དམ་ཨ་རམ་གྱི་ཨ་རམ་པ་བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  ཨ་ཇོའི་མིང་ལ་བན་ཞེས་པའོ།

and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife.

25:21  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་ཕྲུ་གུ་མ་སྐྱེས་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས།  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་མོའི་ཆེད་དུ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་པས།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོའི་སྨོན་ལམ་གསན་ནས།  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་མངལ་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།

And Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

25:22  མོའི་མངལ་དུ་ཕྲུ་གུ་མཚེ་མ་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ཕྲུ་གུ་མ་སྐྱེས་པའི་སྔོན་དུ་མའི་མངལ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་དེ་གཉིས་གཅིག་གིས་གཅིག་ལ་འཐབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ།  མོས་འདི་ལྟར་ང་ལ་ཇི་ལྟར་བྱུང་ངམ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། དེར་བརྟེན་མོས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ལན་ཞུ་བར་ཕྱིན་ནོ།

The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the Lord.

25:23  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མོ་ལ་མི་རིགས་གཉིས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལུས་ནང་ཡོད་ཅིང་།  དེ་གཉིས་ནི་ནང་ཁུལ་དུ་ཐབ་པའི་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་བྱུང་བར་འགྱུར།  རིགས་བརྒྱུད་གཅིག་ལས་རིགས་བརྒྱུད་གཞན་དེ་སྟོབས་དང་ལྡན་པར་འགྱུར།  རྒན་པས་ཆུང་བར་གཡོག་རྒྱུ་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།

And the Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you[c] shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.

25:24  ཟླ་བ་ཚང་ནས་མོ་ལ་བུ་མཚེ་མ་རྣམས་སྐྱེས་སོ།

When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb.

25:25  སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་མདོག་དམར་ཞིང་ཁོའི་གཟུགས་པོ་ཚང་མ་སྤུ་ཡོད་པའི་གོས་ལྟར་ཡོད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་ཁོའི་མིང་ལ་ཨེ་སའོ་བཏགས་སོ།

The first came out red, all his body like a hairy cloak, so they called his name Esau.

25:26  བུ་གཉིས་པ་དེ་སྐྱེས་སྐབས་ཁོའི་ལག་པས་ཨེ་སའོའི་རྟིང་པ་བཟུང་ཡོད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ཁོའི་མིང་ལ་ཡ་ཀོབ་བཏགས་སོ།  བུ་དེ་གཉིས་སྐྱེས་པའི་ཚེ་ཨི་སཱག་ལོ་དྲུག་བཅུ་ལོན་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ༎

Afterward his brother came out with his hand holding Esau’s heel, so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.

25:27  ཕྲུ་གུ་དེ་གཉིས་ཡར་འཚར་བ་དང་།  ཨེ་སའོ་ནི་ཁྱིམ་གྱི་ཕྱིར་རུ་འཁྱམས་ནས་འགྲུལ་མཁན་རྔོན་པ་རྩལ་ཅན་དུ་འགྱུར་ཏོ།  འོན་ཀྱང་ཡ་ཀོབ་ནི་ཁྱིམ་ནང་སྡོད་མཁན་ཁུ་སིམ་པོ་ཞིག་ཡིན་ནོ།

When the boys grew up, Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field, while Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.

25:28  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་ཨེ་སའོ་ལ་བྱམས་པ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ་གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  ཁོས་བསད་པའི་རི་དྭགས་ཀྱི་ཤ་ཟ་བར་དགའ་པོ་ཡོད་དོ།  འོན་ཀྱང་རེ་བྷེ་ཀས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་བྱམས་པ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ།

Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

25:29  ཉིན་ཞིག་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་སྲན་མའི་ཁུ་བ་སྐོལ་བཞིན་ཡོད་སྐབས།  ཨེ་སའོ་ཁྱི་ར་རྒྱབ་ནས་ལོག་ཡོང་སྐབས་ཁོ་ལྟོགས་ཡོད་པས།

Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted.

25:30  ཁོས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ།  ང་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྟོགས་ཡོད་པས།  སྲན་མའི་ཁུ་བ་དེ་ནས་ང་ལ་འཐུང་བར་སྤྲོད་ཅེས་ལབ་བོ།  (དེའི་ཕྱིར་རྗེས་སུ་ཁོའི་མིང་ལ་ཨེ་དྷོམ་ཡང་བརྗོད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་དོ།)

And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.)

25:31  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་ལན་དུ།  གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཐོབ་ཐང་དེ་ང་ལ་སྤྲད་ན་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ་སྲན་མའི་ཁུ་བ་འདི་སྤྲད་ཀྱི་ཡིན་ཞེས་ལབ་བོ།

Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.”

25:32  ཨེ་སའོས།  འགྲིག་གི་རེད།  ད་ལྟ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ལྟོགས་ནས་ཤི་འགྲོ་ཡོད་པས།  ངའི་སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཐོབ་ཐང་གི་ང་ལ་ག་རེ་ཕན་ཐོག་གམ་ཞེས་ལབ་པ་དང་།

Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?”

25:33  ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས།  དེ་རིང་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཐོབ་ཐང་ང་ལ་སྤྲད་པའི་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་ཞིག་ལབ་པ་དང་།  ཨེ་སའོས་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་ཏེ་ཁོའི་ཐོབ་ཐང་ཡ་ཀོབ་ལ་སྤྲད་དོ།

Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob.

25:34  དེ་ནས་ཡ་ཀོབ་ཀྱིས་ཨེ་སའོ་ལ་བག་ལེབ་དང་སྲན་མའི་ཁུ་བ་སྤྲད་པས།  ཨེ་སོས་དེ་བཟའ་ཞིང་འཐུང་ཏེ་ལངས་ནས་སོང་ངོ་།  དེ་ལྟར་ཨེ་སའོས་སྔོན་སྐྱེས་ཀྱི་ཐོབ་ཐང་ལ་རྩིས་མེད་བྱས་སོ༎

Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.

 

བཀོད་པ 24 – Genesis 24

24:1  ད་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ཤིན་ཏུ་རྒས་ཏེ།  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཁོའི་ལས་ཀ་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ཡོད་ཅིང་།

Now Abraham was old, well advanced in years. And the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.

24:2  ཁོང་གི་ཁང་པའི་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་ནོར་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་ཕྱག་མཛོད་ཡིན་པ།  གཡོག་པོ་རྒན་ཤོས་དེ་ལ་འབོད་དེ་ཁོ་ལ།  ངའི་བརླ་ཤའི་བར་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལག་པ་བཞག་ནས་མནའ་ཞིག་སྐྱེལ་དགོས།

And Abraham said to his servant, the oldest of his household, who had charge of all that he had, “Put your hand under my thigh,

24:3  ཀ་ནན་ཡུལ་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་མི་རིགས་ཚང་མའི་ནང་ནས་ངའི་བུ་ཨི་སཱག་གི་ཕྱིར་ཆུང་མར་སུའང་མི་ལེན་ཞེས་གནམ་ས་གཉིས་ཀྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་མཚན་ལེན་ནས་མནའ་འཁུར་ཞིག

that I may make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell,

24:4  ངའི་ཕ་ཡུལ་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་ངའི་གཉེན་མཚན་གྱི་ནང་ནས་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཞིག་ལེན་དགོས་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

but will go to my country and to my kindred, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”

24:5  འོན་ཀྱང་གཡོག་པོས།  གལ་ཏེ་བུ་མོ་དེ་ང་ཚོའི་ས་གནས་འདིར་ཡོང་བ་མ་དགའ་ན། ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་བུ་ལ་ས་གནས་དེར་བཏང་ཐུབ་བམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།

The servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman may not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”

24:6  ཨབ་རམ་གྱིས་ལན་དུ།  ས་གནས་དེར་ངའི་བུ་ནམ་ཡང་མ་གཏོང་ཞིག

Abraham said to him, “See to it that you do not take my son back there.

24:7  ནམ་མཁའི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ང་ལ་ངའི་ཕ་ཡི་ཁྱིམ་དང་གཉེན་མཚན་གྱི་ཡུལ་ནས་འཁྲིད་གནང་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ཡུལ་འདི་ཁོང་གིས་ངའི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་ལ་གནང་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་ང་ལ་ངེས་གཏན་གྱིས་དམ་བཅའ་བཞེས་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ངའི་བུ་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཞིག་ལེན་པ་ལ་ཁོང་རང་གི་ཕོ་ཉ་ཞིག་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མདུན་དུ་གཏོང་གནང་ཡོང་།

The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kindred, and who spoke to me and swore to me, ‘To your offspring I will give this land,’ he will send his angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there.

24:8  གལ་ཏེ་བུ་མོ་དེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་ཡོང་བ་མ་དགའ་ན།  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་བ་དེ་ལས་ཐར་བར་འགྱུར།  འོན་ཀྱང་གནས་ཚུལ་གང་འདྲ་ཞིག་ཡིན་རུང་ངའི་བུ་ལ་ས་གནས་དེར་ཕྱིར་ལོག་མ་འཁྲིད་ཅིག་ཅེས་གསུངས་སོ།

But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be free from this oath of mine; only you must not take my son back there.”

24:9  དེར་བརྟེན་གཡོག་པོ་དེས་ཁོའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་བརླ་ཤའི་བར་ལ་ལག་པ་བཞག་ཅིང་ཁོང་གིས་གང་གསུངས་པ་ལྟར་བྱེད་པའི་མནའ་སྐྱེལ་ལོ།

So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master and swore to him concerning this matter.

24:10  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་རྒྱུ་ནོར་གྱི་ཕྱག་མཛོད་དེས་རང་གི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་རྔ་མོང་ནང་ནས་བཅུ་འཁྲིད་དེ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་སྤུན་ན་ཧོར་སྡོད་ཡུལ་བྱང་ཕྱོགས་མེ་སོ་པོ་ཊ་མི་ཡའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་སོང་ངོ་།

Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, taking all sorts of choice gifts from his master; and he arose and went to Mesopotamia to the city of Nahor.

24:11  ཁོང་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཕྱི་རོལ་གྱི་ཁྲོན་པ་ཡོད་སར་བསླེབས་པ་དང་།  རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ངལ་གསོ་རྒྱབ་བཅུག་གོ  བུད་མེད་རྣམས་ཁྲོན་པ་ནས་ཆུ་ལེན་པར་ཡོང་སྐབས།  དགོང་དྲོའི་དུས་རན་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ནོ།

And he made the camels kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of evening, the time when women go out to draw water.

24:12  ཁོས་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལགས། ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་དམ་བཅའ་གནང་བ་ལྟར་དེ་རིང་ངའི་ལས་དོན་དེ་སྒྲུབ་པར་མཛོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་སོ།

And he said, “O Lord, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham.

24:13  གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་བུད་མེད་ན་གཞོན་རྣམས་ཆུ་ལེན་པར་ཡོང་སའི་ཁྲོན་པའི་འགྲམ་དུ་ང་བསྡད་ཡོདཔ་དང་།

Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water.

24:14  ངས་དེ་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་གཅིག་ལ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྫ་སྣོད་བཀང་ནས་ང་ལ་འཐུང་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཆུ་གནོང་ཞིག  གལ་ཏེ་མོས་ང་དང་ངའི་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ལ་ཆུ་སྟེར་བ་བྱ་ཞེས་ལབ་ན།  མོ་ནི་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་བྲན་གཡོག་ཨི་སཱག་གི་ཆེད་དུ་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་འདམས་གནང་བ་དེ་ཡིན་པར་ཤོག  གལ་ཏེ་དེ་ལྟར་བྱུང་ན་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ལ་ཁྱེེད་ཀྱིས་དབུ་མནའ་བཞེས་པ་དེ་སྒྲུབ་པ་ངས་ཤེས་པར་འགྱུར།

Let the young woman to whom I shall say, ‘Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels’—let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.”

24:15  ཁོས་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ཚར་འགྲོ་ཡོད་སྐབས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་སྤུན་ན་ཧོར་གྱི་ཆུང་མ་མིལ་ཀཱའི་བུ་བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་གྱི་བུ་མོ་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་རྫ་མ་ཞིག་དཔུང་པར་འཁྱེར་ཏེ་ཁྲོན་པའི་རྩར་ཡོང་ངོ་།

Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with her water jar on her shoulder.

24:16  བུ་མོ་དེ་ནི་ཧ་ཅང་མཛེས་ཤིང་ན་ཆུང་མ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།  མོ་ཁྲོན་པའི་རྩར་ཕྱིན་ནས་རྫ་མ་ཆུས་གང་ནས་མོ་རང་ཕྱིར་འགྲོ་གྲབ་བྱེད་དོ།

The young woman was very attractive in appearance, a maiden whom no man had known. She went down to the spring and filled her jar and came up.

24:17  གཡོག་པོ་དེ་རྒྱུགས་ཤིང་མོ་དང་ཐུག་ནས།  མོ་ལ།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རྫ་མ་ནས་ང་ལ་འཐུང་བ་ལ་ཆུ་གནང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

Then the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please give me a little water to drink from your jar.”

24:18  མོས་མགྱོགས་པོར་རྫ་མ་དེ་མར་ཕབ་ནས།  སྐུ་ཞབས་ལགས་ཆུ་འཐུང་ཞིག་ཅེས་ཁོང་ལ་ཆུ་སྟེར་རོ།

She said, “Drink, my lord.” And she quickly let down her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink.

24:19  ཁོས་ཆུ་འཐུང་ཚར་བའི་རྗེས་སུ་མོས་ཁོ་ལ།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་མ་ངོམས་པའི་བར་ངས་དེ་ཚོ་ལའང་ཆུ་སྟེར་གྱི་ཡིན་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.”

24:20  མྱུར་དུ་མོས་རྫ་མའི་ཆུ་དེ་སེམས་ཅན་གྱི་ཆུ་འཐུང་སའི་གཞོང་པའི་ནང་བླུགས་ནས་། ཁོང་གི་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ལ་ཆུ་སྤྲད་མ་ཚར་བའི་བར་དུ་མོས་ཡང་ནས་ཡང་དུ་རྒྱུག་ནས་ཁྲོན་པ་ནས་ཆུ་ལེན་ནས་འཁྱེར་ཡོང་ངོ་།

So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw water, and she drew for all his camels.

24:21  མི་དེས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་ནམཆོག་གིས་ཁོའི་ལས་དོན་སྒྲུབ་ཡོད་མེད་རྟོགས་ཕྱིར་མོ་ལ་ཁུ་སིམ་མེར་ལྟ་ཞིང་བསྡད་དོ།

The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the Lord had prospered his journey or not.

24:22  ཆུ་སྟེར་བའི་རྗེས་སུ།  མི་དེས་རིན་ཐང་ཅན་གྱི་གསེར་གྱི་ཨ་ལོང་ཞིག་བཏོན་ནས་མོའི་རྣ་བར་བཀོན་པ་དང་།  གསེར་གྱི་སྒྲོག་གདུབ་གཉིས་ལག་པར་རྒྱུས་ཏེ།

When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels,

24:23  ཁོས་མོ་ལ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕ་་སུ་ཡིན་ནམ་ང་ལ་ཤོད་དང་།  དེ་རིང་གི་མཚན་མོ་ཁོང་གི་ཁང་པར་ངའི་མི་ཚོ་དང་ང་ལ་སྡོད་ཁང་ཞིག་ཡོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།

and said, “Please tell me whose daughter you are. Is there room in your father’s house for us to spend the night?”

24:24  མོས་ལན་དུ།  ངའི་ཕའི་མིང་ལ་བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་ཞེས་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་ནི་ན་ཧོར་དང་མིལ་ཀཱའི་བུ་ཡིན་ནོ།

She said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, whom she bore to Nahor.”

24:25  ང་ཚོའི་ཁང་པའི་ནང་རྩ་དང་ཆག་མང་པོ་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཟད་ཁྱེད་ཚོ་ལའང་སྡོད་ས་ཞིག་ཡང་ཡོད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

She added, “We have plenty of both straw and fodder, and room to spend the night.”

24:26  གཡོག་པོ་དེས་པུས་མོ་བཙུགས་ཤིང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་མཆོད་དོ།

The man bowed his head and worshiped the Lord

24:27  ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཉེན་མཚན་གྱི་སར་ཤར་རྒྱག་འཁྲིད་གནང་ནས་ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་དམ་བཅའ་གནང་བ་བཞིན་སྒྲུབ་པར་མཛད་མཁན་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྟོད་བསྔགས་པར་འགྱུར་ཅིག

and said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the Lord has led me in the way to the house of my master’s kinsmen.”

24:28  བུ་མོ་དེ་རང་གི་མའི་ཁང་པར་རྒྱུགས་ཤིང་གང་བྱུང་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱི་སྐོར་བཤད་དོ།

Then the young woman ran and told her mother’s household about these things.

24:29  རེ་བྷེ་ཀའི་ཨ་ཇོ་ལ་བན་ཞེས་པ་དེ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དང་འཕྲད་པར་ཁྲོན་པ་ཡོད་སར་སོང་ངོ་།

Rebekah had a brother whose name was Laban. Laban ran out toward the man, to the spring.

24:30  གང་ལ་ཟེར་ན།  ཁོའི་སྲིང་མོ་ལ་གསེར་གྱི་རྣ་ལོང་དང་ལག་པར་སྒྲོག་གདུབ་རྒྱུས་ཡོད་པ་མཐོང་ཡོད།  མོས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོའི་གང་སྨྲས་པ་དེ་ཐོས་ཡོད་དོ།  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དང་རྔ་མོང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཁྲོན་པའི་འགྲམ་དུ་བསྡད་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ལ་བན་ཁོའི་རྩར་ཡོང་ནས་ཁོ་ལ།

As soon as he saw the ring and the bracelets on his sister’s arms, and heard the words of Rebekah his sister, “Thus the man spoke to me,” he went to the man. And behold, he was standing by the camels at the spring.

24:31  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བྱིན་གྱི་རླབས་པ་ཁྱེད་ང་ཚོའི་ནང་དུ་ཤོག།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ཆེད་དུ་སྡོད་ཁང་ཞིག་དང་།  ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རྔ་མོང་གི་ཕྱིར་བསྡད་ས་ཞིག་གྲ་སྒྲིགས་བྱས་ཡོད་པས།  ཁྲོན་པའི་འགྲམ་དུ་གང་གི་དོན་དུ་བསྡད་དམ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

He said, “Come in, O blessed of the Lord. Why do you stand outside? For I have prepared the house and a place for the camels.”

24:32  དེ་ནས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དེ་ལ་བན་གྱི་ཁང་པར་ཡོང་ནས།  ལ་བན་གྱིས་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ཀྱི་སྒ་བཀྲོལ་ནས།  རྩ་ཆག་སོགས་སྤྲད་དོ།  དེ་རྗེས་ཁོས་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དང་ཁོ་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱི་རྐང་པ་འཁྲུ་བའི་ཕྱིར་ཆུ་སྟེར་རོ།

So the man came to the house and unharnessed the camels, and gave straw and fodder to the camels, and there was water to wash his feet and the feet of the men who were with him.

24:33  དེ་ཚོའི་ཆེད་དུ་མགྲོན་ཞིག་བཤམས་པ་དང་།  གཡོག་པོ་དེས་ངས་རང་གི་ལས་དོན་མ་བཤད་པའི་བར་དུ་ཁ་ལག་མི་ཟའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།  ལ་བན་གྱིས་ཁོ་ལ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་གཏམ་དེ་ཤོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་པས།

Then food was set before him to eat. But he said, “I will not eat until I have said what I have to say.” He said, “Speak on.”

24:34  དེ་ནས་ཁོས།  ང་ནི་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་ཡིན།

So he said, “I am Abraham’s servant.

24:35  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་ལ་ཤིན་ཏུ་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་ཞིང་ཕྱུག་པོར་འགྱུར་ཏེ།  ར་ལུག་དང་།  བ་གླང་དང་།  གསེར་དངུལ་དང་།  གཡོག་པོ་གཡོག་མོ་དང་།  རྔ་མོང་དང་བོང་བུ་སོགས་ག ནང་ཡོད།

The Lord has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, camels and donkeys.

24:36  ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་ཆུང་མ་ས་རཱ་རྒས་པའི་ཚེ་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་ཆེད་དུ་བུ་ཞིག་སྐྱེས་པ་དང་།  བུ་དེ་ནོར་བདག་ཏུ་འགྱུར་ནས་ཡོད།

And Sarah my master’s wife bore a son to my master when she was old, and to him he has given all that he has.

24:37-38  ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་བུད་མེད་རྣམས་ནས་བུ་དེ་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཞིག་མི་ལེན་ཞེས་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་ང་ལ་མནའ་འཁུར་བཅུག་གོ  འོན་ཀྱང་ཁོང་གི་ཕའི་ཁང་པ་དང་།  གཉེན་མཚན་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ཁང་པར་འོང་ནས་ཁོང་གི་བུ་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཞིག་བླངས་དགོས་ཞེས་བཀའ་གནང་ཡོད།

My master made me swear, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell, but you shall go to my father’s house and to my clan and take a wife for my son.’

24:39  གལ་ཏེ་བུ་མོ་དེ་ང་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོང་བ་མ་དགའ་ན་ངས་ག་རེ་བྱས་དགོས་སམ་ཞེས་ངས་དྲིས་པས།

I said to my master, ‘Perhaps the woman will not follow me.’

24:40  ཁོང་གིས་ང་ལ།  ངས་དུས་རྒྱུན་དུ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ལ་ཉན་ཡོད་པ་དང་།  ཁོང་གི་ཕོ་ཉས་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ལམ་སྟོན་གནང་ཞིང་ངའི་གཉེན་མཚན་གྱི་ནང་ནས་ངའི་བུ་ལ་ཆུང་མ་ཞིག་བླངས་པ་ལ་བྱིན་རླབས་གནང་བར་འགྱུར།

But he said to me, ‘The Lord, before whom I have walked, will send his angel with you and prosper your way. You shall take a wife for my son from my clan and from my father’s house.

24:41  དམ་བཅའ་དེ་ལས་ཐར་བའི་ལམ་གཅིག་ཡོད།  གལ་ཏེ་ངའི་གཉེན་མཚན་སར་སོང་ནས་དེ་ཚོས་བུ་མོ་སྤྲད་པར་ཁས་ལེན་མ་བྱས་པ་ཡིན་ན།  ཁྱོད་ལ་མནའ་འདི་ཕོག་པར་མི་འགྱུར།

Then you will be free from my oath, when you come to my clan. And if they will not give her to you, you will be free from my oath.’

24:42  དེ་རིང་ང་ཁྲོན་པའི་རྩར་སླེབས་སྐབས་ངས་སྨོན་ལམ་འདི་ལྟར་ཞུས་པ་ཡིན།  ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གྱིས་ཐུགས་རྫེ་གཟིགས་ནས་ངའི་ལས་དོན་དེ་སྒྲུབ་བཅུག་པར་མཛོད་ཅིག

“I came today to the spring and said, ‘O Lord, the God of my master Abraham, if now you are prospering the way that I go,

24:43  ང་དེ་ཁྲོན་པའི་རྩར་ཡོད།  བུད་མོ་ན་ཆུང་མ་སུ་ཞིག་ཆུ་ལེན་པར་ཡོང་ན།  ངས་མོ་ལ་ཆུ་འཐུང་བར་སྟེར་ཞེས་ལབ་ཀྱི་ཡིན་པས།

behold, I am standing by the spring of water. Let the virgin who comes out to draw water, to whom I shall say, “Please give me a little water from your jar to drink,”

24:44  ང་དང་ངའི་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ལའང་ཆུ་སྟེར་གྱི་ཡིན་ཞེས་ཁས་ལེན་བྱས་ན།  བུ་མོ་དེ་ནི་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་བུའི་ཆུང་མར་འདམས་པ་ཡིན་ཞེས་བསམ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན།

and who will say to me, “Drink, and I will draw for your camels also,” let her be the woman whom the Lord has appointed for my master’s son.’

24:45  ངས་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་ཚར་འགྲོ་ཡོད་སྐབས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀས་དཔུང་པར་རྫ་མ་འཁུར་སྟེ་ཆུ་ལེན་པར་ཁྲོན་པར་ཡོང་བ་མཐོང་ནས།  ཐུགས་རྫེ་གཟིགས་ནས་ང་ལ་ཆུ་ཞིག་གནང་ཞེས་ངས་སྨྲས་པས།

“Before I had finished speaking in my heart, behold, Rebekah came out with her water jar on her shoulder, and she went down to the spring and drew water. I said to her, ‘Please let me drink.’

24:46  མོས་མྱུར་དུ་རང་གི་དཔུང་པ་ནས་ཆུ་སྣོད་དེ་མར་པབ་ནས་འཐུང་རོགས་གནང་དང་།  ངའི་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ལའང་སྟེར་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།  དེ་ལྟར་ངས་ཆུ་འཐུང་བ་དང་མོས་རྔ་མོང་རྣམས་ལའང་ཆུ་སྟེར་རོ།

She quickly let down her jar from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I will give your camels drink also.’ So I drank, and she gave the camels drink also.

24:47  ངས་མོའི་ཕ་སུ་ཡིན་པའི་སྐོར་དྲིས་པས།  མོས་ན་ཧོར་དང་མིལ་ཀཱའི་བུ་བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་ཡིན་ཞེས་ལབ་པ་དང་།  ངས་མོ་ལ་རྣ་ལོང་ཞིག་དང་ལག་པར་སྒྲོག་གདུབ་རྒྱུས་པ་ཡིན།

Then I asked her, ‘Whose daughter are you?’ She said, ‘The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bore to him.’ So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her arms.

24:48  ངས་པུས་མོ་བཙུགས་ནས་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་མཆོད་འབུལ་བྱེད་པ་དང་། ངས་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྟོད་བསྔགས་འབུལ་བ་ཡིན།  དེ་ལྟར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ང་ལ་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་ནང་མིའི་ཁང་པར་ཤར་ཀྱག་འཁྲིད་གནང་བ་དང་དེར་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་བུའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཁོང་གི་བུ་མོའང་ཐུག་བྱུང་།

Then I bowed my head and worshiped the Lord and blessed the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me by the right way to take the daughter of my master’s kinsman for his son.

24:49  ད་ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་དང་མཉམ་དུ་དྲང་བདེན་དང་སྙིང་རྗེའི་སྤྱོད་ཚུལ་གནང་བ་ཡིན་ན་ང་ལ་གསུངས་རོགས་གནང་།  གལ་སྲིད་དེ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ང་ལ་གསུངས་རོགས་གནང་།  གལ་སྲིད་དེ་ལྟར་མ་ཡིན་ན་གང་བྱེད་དགོས་པ་དེ་ང་རང་གི་ཐག་གཅོད་བྱ་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་ནོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Now then, if you are going to show steadfast love and faithfulness to my master, tell me; and if not, tell me, that I may turn to the right hand or to the left.”

24:50  ལ་བན་དང་བེ་ཐུ་ཨེལ་གྱིས་ལན་དུ།  བྱ་བ་འདི་ནི་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནས་བྱུང་བས།  ང་ཚོ་རང་གི་ཐག་གཅོད་བྱེད་མི་ཐུབ།

Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, “The thing has come from the Lord; we cannot speak to you bad or good.

24:51  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་འདིར་ཡོད་པས་མོ་ལ་འཁྲིད་ནས་སོང་ཞིག  གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུངས་པ་བཞིན་དུ་མོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་བུའི་ཆུང་མར་འགྱུར་བཅུག་ཅིག

Behold, Rebekah is before you; take her and go, and let her be the wife of your master’s son, as the Lord has spoken.”

24:52  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོས།  དེ་ཐོས་པ་དང་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ནས་མཆོད་པ་འཕུལ་ལོ།

When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the earth before the Lord.

24:53  དེ་ནས་གཡོག་པོ་དེས་གསེར་དངུལ་གྱི་རྒྱན་ཆ་རྣམས་དང་།  ཁོས་གོས་རྣམས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་སྟེར་བ་དང་།  མོ་རང་གི་ཨ་ཇོ་དང་མ་ལའང་རིན་ཐང་ཆེ་བའི་ལག་བཏགས་བཏང་ངོ་།

And the servant brought out jewelry of silver and of gold, and garments, and gave them to Rebekah. He also gave to her brother and to her mother costly ornaments.

24:54  དེ་ནས་གཡོག་པོ་དེ་དང་ཁོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་ཡོད་པའི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བཟའ་བཏུང་བྱས་ཏེ།  མཚན་མོ་དེར་བསྡད་དོ།  ཁོ་ཚོ་སྔ་དྲོ་ལངས་སྐབས་གཡོག་པོ་དེས་ད་ང་རང་གི་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་སར་འགྲོ་བཅུག་རོགས་གནང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

And he and the men who were with him ate and drank, and they spent the night there. When they arose in the morning, he said, “Send me away to my master.”

24:55  རེ་བྷེ་ཀའི་ཨ་ཇོ་དང་ཨ་མས་ཁོ་ལ།  བུ་མོ་དེ་ང་ཚོ་མཉམ་དུ་བདུན་གཅིག་གམ་ཉིན་བཅུ་ཙམ་བསྡད་བཅུག་རོགས་གནང་།  དེ་ནས་མོ་རང་འགྲོ་ནའང་ཆོག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ།

Her brother and her mother said, “Let the young woman remain with us a while, at least ten days; after that she may go.”

24:56  ཁོས་དེ་དག་ལ།  དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ངའི་ལས་དོན་དེ་སྒྲུབ་བཅུག་པར་མཛད་པས། ང་སྦྱིན་བདག་གི་རྩར་ལོག་འགྲོ་བཅུག་རོགས་གནང་།  བསྡད་པར་ཨུ་ཆུག་མ་གནང་རོགས་གནང་ཞེས་སྨྲས་པ་དང་།

But he said to them, “Do not delay me, since the Lord has prospered my way. Send me away that I may go to my master.”

24:57  ཁོང་ཚོས་ལན་དུ།  ད་ང་ཚོའི་བུ་མོ་དེ་འབོད་དེ་དྲི་བ་དྲིས་དགོས་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ།  མོ་རང་གི་བསམ་བློ་ག་རེ་ཡོད་མེད་བལྟ་དགོས།

They said, “Let us call the young woman and ask her.”

24:58  རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་འབོད་དེ་མོ་ལ།  ཁྱོད་མི་འདི་དང་མཉམ་དུ་འགྲོ་འདོད་དམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པས།  མོས།  ང་འགྲོ་བར་འདོད་དོ་ཞེས་ལན་རྒྱབ་པ་དང་།

And they called Rebekah and said to her, “Will you go with this man?” She said, “I will go.”

24:59  དེར་བརྟེན་ཁོང་ཚོས་མོ་རང་གི་འདོད་པ་བཞིན་མོ་དང་མོའི་གཡོག་མོ་གཅིག་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དང་ཁོའི་མི་ཚོ་མཉམ་དུ་འགྲོ་བཅུག་གོ

So they sent away Rebekah their sister and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant and his men.

24:60  དེ་ནས་ཁོ་ཚོས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་འདི་ལྟར་བྱིན་རླབས་སྤྲད་ནས།  ང་ཚོའི་སྲིང་མོ་ཁྱོད་ནི་ཕྲུ་གུ་ཁྲི་མང་པོའི་མ་རུ་འགྱུར་ཅིག  ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་བུ་བརྒྱུད་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་དགྲ་བོ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དབང་བཟུང་བྱེད་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།

And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, “Our sister, may you become thousands of ten thousands, and may your offspring possess the gate of those who hate him!”

24:61  དེ་ནས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་དང་མོའི་རོགས་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྔ་མོང་བཞོན་ཏེ་ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་དང་མཉམ་དུ་སོང་ངོ་།

Then Rebekah and her young women arose and rode on the camels and followed the man. Thus the servant took Rebekah and went his way.

24:62  འབྲོག་སྟོང་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་ང་ལ་མངོན་སུམ་མཐོང་བར་གནང་མཁན་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཁྲོན་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་བར་ཨི་སཱག་ཡོང་བ་དང་།  ཁོང་ཡུལ་ཀ་ནན་གྱི་ལྷོ་ཕྱོགས་སུ་གནས་ཡོད་དོ།

Now Isaac had returned from Beer-lahai-roi and was dwelling in the Negeb.

24:63  ཨི་སཱག་ཉི་མ་ནུབ་པའི་དུས་སུ་ཐང་དུ་སྐྱོ་སངས་ལ་འགྲོ་སྐབས།  རྔ་མོང་མང་པོ་ཚུར་ཡོང་བ་མཐོང་ངོ་།

And Isaac went out to meditate in the field toward evening. And he lifted up his eyes and saw, and behold, there were camels coming.

24:64  རེ་བྷེ་ཀས་ཨི་སཱག་མཐོང་བ་དང་།  མོ་རང་རྔ་མོང་ནས་བབས་ཏེ།

And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she dismounted from the camel

24:65  ཨབ་ར་ཧམ་གྱི་གཡོག་པོ་ལ།  ང་ཚོར་ཐུག་པར་ཡོང་མཁན་མི་དེ་སུ་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་དྲིས་པ་དང་།  གཡོག་པོ་དེས། ཁོང་ནི་ངའི་སྦྱིན་བདག་ཡིན་ཞེས་ལབ་པས།  དེར་བརྟེན་མོས་གདོང་ཁེབས་བླངས་ཏེ་རང་གི་གདོང་བཀབ་བོ།

and said to the servant, “Who is that man, walking in the field to meet us?” The servant said, “It is my master.” So she took her veil and covered herself.

24:66  དེ་ནས་གཡོག་པོས་རང་གི་བྱས་པའི་བྱ་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཨི་སཱག་ལ་བཤད་དོ།

And the servant told Isaac all the things that he had done.

24:67  ཨི་སཱག་གིས་རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ལ་རང་གི་ཨ་མ་ས་རཱའི་གུར་ནང་འཁྲིད་དེ་ཆང་ས་བརྒྱབ་བོ། རེ་བྷེ་ཀ་ཁོང་གི་ཆུང་མར་འགྱུར་རོ།  ཁོས་མོ་ལ་བྱམས་སོ།  དེ་ལྟར་ཨི་སཱག་གི་ཨ་མ་གྲོངས་པའི་སེམས་གསོ་ཐོབ་བོ༎

Then Isaac brought her into the tent of Sarah his mother and took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death.
