ལེའུ་བཅུ་བདུན། (17)

 

ལྗཱོན་གྱིས་སྙན་གྲགས་ཅན་གྱི་གཞང་ཚོང་མ་དེ་ཕམ་པ་མཐོང་བ།

John Sees the Defeat of the Infamous Prostitute

 

1 ཕོར་པ་བདུན་སྣོམ་ཡོད་པའི་ཕོ་ཉ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་ནང་ནས་གཅིག་སླེབས་ནས་ང་ལ་གསུངས་སོང་།   “ཤོག   །ཞང་འཚོང་མ་ངན་གྲགས་ཅན་དེ་ལ་ཉེས་པ་ག་འདྲ་གཏང་གི་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ངས་ཁྱེད་རང་ལ་བསྟན་གྱི་ཡིན།

མོ་གཙང་པོ་མང་པོའི་འཁྲིས་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་ཧ་ཅང་ཆེ་བའི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་རེད།

1 One of the seven angels who had held the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come! I will show you how the infamous prostitute will be punished. She is that exceedingly great city that stands near many rivers.

 

2 ས་གཞིའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཚོས་མོ་མཉམ་དུ་ལོག་གཡེམ་སྤྱད་པ་དང་།   ས་གཞིའི་སྟེང་གི་མི་ཚོ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེའི་ཚུལ་

མིན་གྱི་སྤྱོད་པའི་རྒུན་ཆང་གིས་ར་བཟི་བ་རེད།”

2 The kings of the earth have committed adultery with her, and the inhabitants of the earth became intoxicated with the wine of her immorality.”

 

3 དེ་ནས་ང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཁྱབ་ནས་ཕོ་ཉ་དེས་ང་འབྲོག་སྟོང་ཞིག་ལ་ཁྲིད་གནང་སོང་།

དེར་ངས་ [ང་རང་གི་ཞལ་གཟིགས་ནང་] བུད་མེད་གཅིག་གཅན་གཟན་མཚལ་ཁ་ཞིག་གི་ཐོག་ལ་བསྡད་ཡོད་པ་

མཐོང་བྱུང་།   གཅན་ཟན་དེ་ལ་མགོ་བདུན་དང་རྭ་ཅོ་བཅུ་ཡོད་པ་དང་།   དེའི་ལུས་ཡོངས་རྫོགས་ལ་དཀོན་

མཆོག་ལ་སྐུར་འདེབས་བྱེད་རྒྱུའི་ཡི་གེ་བྲིས་འདུག

3 Then, pervaded by God’s Spirit, the angel took me into a wilderness. There I saw [in my vision] a woman sitting upon a scarlet-coloured beast. The beast had seven heads and ten horns and blasphemous words against God were written all over its body

 

4[གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་སྒང་ལ་བཞོན་ཡོད་པའི་] སྐྱེས་དམན་དེས་དུག་སློག་མུ་མེན་དང་མཚལ་ཁ། གསེར་དང་

རིན་པོ་ཆེན་ཕ་ལམ་དང༌།   མུ་ཏིག་གི་རྒྱན་ཆ་འོད་ཆིབ་ཆིབ་གོན་འདུག   །མོས་རང་གི་ལག་པའི་ནང་གསེར་

གྱི་ཕོར་པ་ཞིག་འཁུར་ཡོད་པ་དང་།   དེ་ངོ་ཚ་ཁྲེལ་མེད་དང་ཚུལ་མིན་གྱི་འཁྲིག་སྤྱོད་ཀྱི་མི་གཙང་བས་བཀང་

འདུག

4 The woman [who was sitting on the beast] wore purple and scarlet clothing and glittering jewellery made of gold and precious gems and pearls. In her hand she held a golden goblet. It was full of obscenities and the filthy impurities of her sexual immorality.

 

5 མོའི་ཐོད་

པ་ལ་མིང་ཞིག་བཀོད་ཡོད་པ་དང་།   མིང་དེ་ཁྱད་མཚར་པོ་ཞེ་དྲག་འདུག   །དེ་ལ་ “[ང་] གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ཆེན་

པོ་སྦེ་སྦི་ལོན་[ཡིན།]   [ང་] གཞང་འཚོང་མ་ཚང་མའི་ཨ་མ་ཡིན།   [ང་] འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་ངོ་ཚ་ཁྲལ་མེད་ཀྱི་

བྱ་བ་ཚང་མའི་ (འབྱུང་ཁུངས་) ཨ་མ་དེ་[ཡིན།)]”

5 A name that had a secret meaning was inscribed on her forehead. It said, “[I am] the great city of Babylon. [I am] the mother of all prostitutes. [I am] mother (the source) of all the obscene actions in the world.”

 

6 མོ་ར་བཟི་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ངས་མཐོང་

གི་འདུག   །མོས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་དམ་པའི་མི་ཚོའི་ཁྲག་འཐུངས་ནས་བཟི་འདུག   །ཁོང་ཚོས་ཡེ་ཤུ་ལ་དད་

པ་དང་དམ་ཚིག་བསྲུངས་བ་དང་གཞན་དག་ཚོ་ལ་ཁོང་གི་སྐོར་བཤད་པའི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་བསད་འདུག   །ངས་མོ་

མཐོང་དུས་ང་དཔེ་མི་སྲིད་པའི་ཧོན་འཐོར་སོང་།

6 I could see that she was drunk. She was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people. They had been killed for being faithful to Jesus and telling others about him. When I saw her I was greatly astonished.

 

7 ཕོ་ཉ་ཁོང་གིས་ང་ལ་གསུངས་སོང༌།   “ཁྱེད་རང་ག་རེ་བྱས་ནས་ཧོན་འཐོར་གྱི་འདུག   །ངས་ཁྱེད་རང་

རང་ལ་སྐྱེས་དམན་དེ་དང༌།   མོ་འཁུར་མཁན་གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་སྦས་དོན་དེ་གསལ་བཤད་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡིན། འདི་

མགོ་བདུན་དང་རྭ་ཅོ་བཅུ་ཡོད་པའི་གཅན་ཟན་དེ་རེད།

7 The angel said to me, “Why are you so astonished? I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and the beast that carries her. This is the beast with seven heads and ten horns.

 

8 ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་ད་ལྟ་རང་མཐོང་པའི་གཅན་གཟན་དེ་བར་

སྐབས་གཅིག་ལ་གསོན་པོ་ཡིན་པ་དང༌། ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ད་ལྟ་འདི་གསོན་པོ་མ་རེད། [གང་ལྟར་ཡང་] དེ་

མགྱོགས་པོ་གཏིང་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ས་དོང་དེ་ནས་ཡར་ཐོན་པ་ [དང་།   འདིའི་རྗེས་] རྫོགས་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་

ཉེས་པ་མྱང་གི་རེད།   ས་གཞི་དང་ནམ་མཁའ།   ཉི་མ་དང་ཟླ་བ།   སྐར་མ་དང་རྒྱུ་སྐར་ཚང་མ་བཀོད་མ་

གནང་གོང་ལ་སྲོག་གི་གླེགས་བམ་ནང་མིང་མ་འཁོད་པའི་མི་དེ་ཚོ་ཧོན་འཐོར་གྱི་རེད།   དེ་སྔ་ཤི་ཚར་བའི་

གཅན་གཟན་འདི་ཡང་བསྐྱར་མཐོང་ནས་ཁོང་ཚོ་ཧོན་འཐོར་གྱི་རེད།   གཅན་གཟན་འདི་བར་སྐབས་གཅིག་ལ་

གསོན་པོ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།   ད་ལྟ་དེ་གསོན་པོ་མ་རེད།   ཡིན་ན་ཡང་དེ་བསྐྱར་ཚུར་ལོག་ཡོང་གི་རེད།

8 The beast that you saw just now was once alive; but now it is no longer alive. [However] soon it will come up out of the bottomless pit [and after this] will suffer eternal punishment. The people living on earth whose names were not written the Book of Life before the world was created will be amazed. The reappearance of this beast who had died will astound them. This beast was once alive; now it no longer lives; but it will come back again.

 

9-10 ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་འདི་(ཚང་མ་) རྟོགས་པའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཤེས་རབ་དགོས་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད།   གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་མགོ་

བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་སྐྱེས་དམན་དེས་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་པའི་རི་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་མཚོན་གྱི་འདུག   །མགོ་བདུན་

པོ་དེ་ཚོ་རྒྱལ་པོ[འམ་དབང་སྒྱུར་བ་] བདུན་ཡང་མཚོན་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད།   རྒྱལ་པོ་ལྔ་དེ་སྔ་ནས་ཤི་ཚར་བ་དང་།   ད་ལྟ་རྒྱལ་པོ་དྲུག་པ་དེས་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད།   རྒྱལ་པོ་བདུན་པ་དེ་ད་ལྟ་སླེབ་རྒྱུ་རེད།   ཡིན་ན་

ཡང་ཁོའི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ཀྱི་དུས་ཡུན་རྒྱུན་རིང་པོ་གནས་ཀྱི་མ་རེད།

9-10 You need great insight to understand (all) this: the seven heads of the beast represent the seven hills where the woman rules. The seven heads also represent seven kings [or rulers]. Five kings are already dead, and the sixth king is ruling now. The seventh king is yet to come but his reign will not last long.

 

11 དེ་སྔ་གསོན་པོ་ཡིན་པ་དང༌། ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ད་ལྟ་གསོན་པོ་མ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་བདུན་པ་དེ་ཆགས་ཀྱི་རེད།

རྒྱལ་པོ་བརྒྱད་པ་དེ་རྒྱལ་པོ་བདུན་ཡོད་པའི་ཚོ་ཁག་དེ་ནས་གཅིག་ཆགས་པ་དང་།   ཁོ་ལ་(མུ་མཐའ་མེད་

པའི་) ཉེས་ཆད་འཕོག་གི་རེད།   [དོ་སྣང་བྱེད་རྒྱུ།: རྒྱལ་པོ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ནས་གཅིག་གིས་ཐེངས་མ་གཉིས་

དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད།]

11 The beast that was alive earlier, but is no longer alive, will be the eighth king. The eighth king will be one of the group that consists of the seven kings, and he is headed for (eternal) punishment. [Note: One of the seven kings will rule twice].

 

12-13 ཁྱེད་

རང་གིས་མཐོང་པའི་གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་རྭ་ཅོ་བཅུ་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ད་ལྟ་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཆགས་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་བཅུ་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་

[མཚོན་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད།]   རྒྱལ་པོ་བཅུ་པོ་འདི་ཚོ་ལ་དུས་ཚོད་ཞེ་དྲག་ཐུང་ཐུང་ཞིག་གི་རིང་ (རང་གི་ལུང་པོ་དེ་

ཚོ་) དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་རྒྱུའི་དབང་ཆ་འཐོབ་པ་དང་།   ཁོ་ཚོ་གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་དབང་འོག་ལ་གནས་ཀྱི་རེད།

རྒྱལ་པོ་བཅུ་པོ་འདི་ཚོ་ཚང་མས་རང་གི་དབང་ཆ་གཅན་ཟན་དེ་ལ་རྩིས་སྤྲོད་རྒྱུའི་མོས་མཐུན་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད།

12-13 The ten horns of the beast that you saw [represent] the ten kings who have not yet risen to power. [These ten kings are not the same as the seven kings]. The ten kings will receive authority to rule (their countries) as kings for a very short time, and they will be under the control of the beast. These ten kings will all agree to hand over their power and authority to the beast.

 

14 རྒྱལ་པོ་བཅུ་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་གཅན་ཟན་དེས་ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་གི་ཁ་གཏད་ལ་དམག་བརྒྱབ་ཀྱི་རེད།   ཡིན་ན་ཡང་[ལུ་

གུ་] ཁོང་མངའ་བདག་ཚང་མའི་གཙོ་བོ་དང་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཚང་མའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཡིན་ཙང་།   ཁོང་གིས་ཁོང་ཚོ་རྒྱལ་ཁ་

འཕམ་བཅུག་གནང་གི་རེད།   ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་གི་རྗེས་འབྲང་ཚོ་ཁོང་མཉམ་དུ་ཕེབས་ཀྱི་རེད།   དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་

བོས་གནང་ནས་བདམས་གནང་པའི་མི་དེ་ཚོ་ཡིན་པ་དང་།   ཁོང་ཚོས་ལུ་གུ་ཁོང་ལ་གུས་ཞེན་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད།”

14 The ten kings and the beast will together wage war against the Lamb. But the Lamb will defeat them because he [the Lamb] is the Lord of all lords and the King of all kings. The Lamb’s followers will be with him. They are those whom God has called and chosen, and they will be loyal to the Lamb.”

 

ཕོ་ཉ་དེས་མུ་མཐུད་ནས་ལྗཱོན་ལ་ཞལ་གཟིགས་དེའི་དོན་དག་གསལ་བཤད་གནང་བ།

Angel Continues to Explain the Meaning of the Vision to John

 

15 དེ་ནས་ཕོ་ཉ་ཁོང་གིས་ང་ལ་གསུངས་སོང་།   “གཞང་འཚོང་མ་དེས་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་པའི་(གཙང་

པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་) ཆུ་དེ་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་དང་སྐད་རིགས་མི་གཅིག་པའི་མི་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་མཚོན་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད།”

15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters (of the rivers) that you saw—over which the prostitute is ruling – represent all the people of every nation and language.”

 

16 གཅན་ཟན་དེ་དང་དེའི་རྭ་ཅོ་བཅུ་པོ་

དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མས་གཞང་འཚོང་མ་དེ་ལ་སྡང་པོ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད།   དེ་ཚོས་མོའི་བདག་དངོས་ཚང་མ་འཕྲོག་ནས་

མོ་གཅེར་བུ་བཟོ་གི་རེད། དེ་ཚོས་མོ་ཧབ་ཟ་བྱེད་པ་དང་དེ་ནས་མེར་སྲེག་གཏང་གི་རེད།

16 The beast and his ten horns all hate the prostitute. They will take away all her possessions and strip her naked. They will devour her and then set her on fire.

 

17 གང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ན།   དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་

བཅུ་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་སེམས་ནང་འཆར་གཞི་ཞིག་བཅུག་གནང་བའི་སྒོ་ནས་ཁོང་ཚོ་ལ་ཐག་གཅོད་བྱེད་བཅུག་པ་

བཟོས་གནང་བ་དང་།   དེའི་རྒྱུ་མཚན་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ཁོང་གི་དམིགས་དོན་དེ་ཚོ་བསྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་རེད།   རྒྱལ་པོ་

འདི་ཚོ་ཚང་མས་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་རྒྱུའི་རང་གི་རྒྱལ་པོའི་དབང་ཆ་དེ་གཅན་ཟན་དེ་ལ་རྩིས་སྤྲོད་བྱེད་རྒྱུའི་མོས་

མཐུན་བྱས་པ་རེད།   ཁོང་ཚོས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་དགོས་འདུན་དེ་ཚོ་ཆ་ཚང་མ་བསྒྲུབ་ཀྱི་བར་དུ་ [མུ་མཐུད་

ནས་] གཅན་ཟན་དེའི་བཀའ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་བརྩི་བཀུར་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད།

17 For God has put a plan into the minds of the ten kings which will cause them to make a decision that will result in the fulfilment of his purposes. These kings will all agree to surrender their power to rule, as kings, to the beast. And they will [continue] to obey the orders of the beast until God’s purposes are fully accomplished.

 

18[དེ་ནས་ཕོ་ཉ་ཁོང་གིས་གསུངས་པ།]“ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་ཞལ་གཟིགས་ནང་མཐོང་པའི་སྐྱེས་

དམན་དེ་ས་གཞིའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཚང་མའི་ཐོག་དབང་སྒྱུར་བྱེད་མཁན་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དབང་ཤུགས་ཅན་དེ་རེད།”

18 [Then the angel said], “The woman that you saw in your vision is the powerful city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
