ལེའུ་དང་པོ།

གླེགས་བམ་འདི་མ་འོངས་པར་འབྱུང་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པའི་དོན་རྐྱེན་དེ་ཚོའི་ལུང་བསྟན་གྱི་སྐོར་རེད།

This book was written around 95CE (Christian Era). It is a prophetic account concerning future events.

1 ལོ་རྒྱུས་འདིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཡེ་ཤུ་མ་ཤི་ཀ་ལ་བསྟན་གནང་པའི་(མ་འོངས་པར་འབྱུང་རྒྱུ་ཡིན་པའི་དོན་རྐྱེན་དེ་ཚོ་) འགྲེལ་བཤད་རྒྱབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད། ཡེ་ཤུ་གིས་འདི་ཚོ་[ཁོང་གི་རྗེས་འབྲང་ཡིན་པའི་] རང་གི་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ཚོ་ལ་གསལ་སྟོན་གནང་རྒྱུ་དེ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཐུགས་འདོད་ཡིན་པ་རེད། དོན་རྐྱེན་འདི་ཚོ་མགྱོགས་པོ་འབྱུང་དགོས་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད། ཡེ་ཤུ་གིས་དོན་རྐྱེན་འབྱུང་གྲབས་ཡོད་པ་དེ་ཚོ་ཁོང་གི་ཞབས་ཕྱི་ལྗཱོན་ལ་གསལ་སྟོན་གནང་རྒྱུའི་ཆེད་དུ་ཁོང་གི་ཕོ་ཉ་དེ་བཏང་གནང་པ་རེད། 

1 This account describes (future events) that God showed to Jesus Christ. God wanted Jesus to reveal these things to his own servants [to those who were his followers]. These events must happen soon. Jesus sent his angel to reveal to his servant John, the events that are about to take place.

2 ལྗཱོན་གྱིས་[ཞལ་གཟིགས་ནང་] ག་རེ་གཟིགས་པ་དེ་ཚོ་ཚང་མ་ཁོང་གིས་ཡིག་ཐོག་ལ་བྲིས་གནང་པ་རེད། ཁོང་གིས་ཡེ་ཤུ་མ་ཤི་ཀ་བརྒྱུད་ནས་ཁོང་རང་ལ་ག་རེ་བསྟན་གནང་པ་ཚང་མ་ལྷག་བསམ་རྣམ་པར་དག་པའི་སྒོ་ནས་བྲིས་གནང་པ་རེད། (ཁོང་གིས་ག་རེ་གསུངས་པ་དེ་བདེན་པ་ཡིན་པ་དང་) འདེའི་ག་རེ་བྲིས་པ་ཚང་མ་ཡེ་ཤུ་མ་ཤི་ཀ་ཡིས་དངོས་གནས་གསུངས་པ་རེད། 

2 John wrote down everything that was revealed to him [which he saw in a series of visions]. He faithfully wrote down everything that God showed him through Jesus Christ. (His account is true) and Jesus Christ really said all that is written here.

3 ལུང་བསྟན་འདི་སྐད་གསང་མཐོན་པོའི་ཐོག་ནས་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ལ་ཀློག་མཁན་མི་དེ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་(ཐུགས་སེམས་བཟང་པོ་) གནང་གི་རེད། བཀའ་འདི་ཚོ་ལ་ཉན་ནས་དེ་ནང་ག་རེ་བྲིས་པ་ཚང་མ་ལ་བརྩི་བཀུར་ཞུ་མཁན་ཚང་མ་ལ་ཡང་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་(ཐུགས་སེམས་བཟང་པོ་) གནང་གི་རེད། འདི་ཚོ་འབྱུང་རྒྱུའི་དུས་ཚོད་སླེབ་གྲབས་ཡོད་རེད།

3 God will bless (be kind to) the person who reads this prophecy to the church out loud. God will also bless (be kind to) all those who listen to these words and obey what is written. The time is almost here when these things will happen.

 

ལྗཱོན་གྱིས་ཡེ་ཤུ་ལ་དད་པ་བྱེད་མཁན་ཚོ་ལ་འདི་འབྲི་གནང་གི་ཡོད་རེད།

John writes to the believers in Jesus

 

4 ང་ལྗཱོན་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ངས་ཡི་གེ་འདི་ཨེ་ཤི་ཡཱ་ཞིང་ཆེན་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་ཡེ་ཤུའི་ཆོས་ཚོགས་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་ཚོགས་མི་ཚོ་ལ་འབྲི་གི་ཡོད། ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནས་ཐུགས་རྗེ་(ཁོང་གི་བཀའ་དྲིན་) དང་ཞི་བདེ་འཐོབ་པའི་ངས་སྨོན་ལམ་ཞུ་གི་ཡོད། དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་བཞུགས་ཡོད་རེད། (ཁོང་ད་ལྟ་སྐུ་གསོན་པོ་རེད།)  ཁོང་ག་དུས་ཡིན་ནས་བཞུགས་ཡོད་རེད། ཁོང་ཕེབས་གྲབས་ཡོད་རེད། དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཞུགས་ཁྲི་མདུན་ལ་ཡོད་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ནས་ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོ་ལ་ཞི་བདེ་འཐོབ་པར་ཤོག

4 I am John, and I am writing this letter to the members of the seven churches that are in the province of Asia. I pray that you will receive from God grace (his kindness), and peace of mind. God exists. (He is alive now). He has always existed. And he is about to come. May you receive kindness and peace from the seven spirits (the seven-fold Spirit), who are in front of the throne of God.

5 ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོ་ལ་ཡེ་ཤུ་མ་ཤི་ཀ་ནས་ཐུགས་རྗེ་དང་སེམས་ཀྱི་ཞི་བདེ་འཐོབ་པར་ཤོག །ཡེ་ཤུ་མ་ཤི་ཀ་ཡིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་སྐོར་གྱི་བདེན་པ་དེ་ཤེས་པར་བཟོ་གནང་གི་ཡོད་པ་དང་། ཁོང་དཔང་པོ་དྲང་པོ་དང་བློས་འཁེལ་པོ་ཞིག་རེད། འཆི་བ་ནས་སྐུ་གསོན་པོ་བཞེང་མཁན་ཐོག་མ་དེ་ཁོང་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཁོང་འཇིག་རྟེན་གི་དབང་སྒྱུར་བ་ཚང་མའི་དབང་སྒྱུར་བ་རེད། ཡེ་ཤུ་ཡིས་ང་ཚོ་ལ་བྱམས་བརྩེ་གནང་གི་ཡོད་རེད། ཁོང་ང་ཚོའི་དོན་ལ་སྐུ་གཤེགས་དུས་ཁོང་གི་སྐུ་ལུས་ནས་སྐུ་ཁྲག་ཐོན་པ་དང་། ཁོང་གིས་ང་ཚོ་ང་རང་ཚོའི་སྡིག་པ་ནས་ནས་ཐར་བ་གནང་པ་རེད། [ཁོང་རྒྱང་ཤིང་ཐོག་ལ་སྐུ་གཤེགས་དུས་ཁོང་གིས་ང་ཚོའི་དོན་ལ་ཡང་དག་པའི་དམར་མཆོད་ཀྱི་ཚུལ་དུ་ཁོང་རང་ཉིད་གློད་བཏང་གནང་ཙང་། ཁོང་གིས་ང་ཚོ་སྡིག་པའི་འཆིང་བ་ནས་སྒྲོལ་གནང་ཐུབ་ཀྱི་ཡོད་རེད།] 

5 And, may you receive grace and peace of mind from Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ makes known the truth about God and he is an honest and a reliable witness. He is the first person to rise from the dead, and he is ruler over all the rulers of the world. Jesus loves us. He bled and died for us and he has freed us from our sins. [He is able to release us from the bondage of sin because he offered himself as the perfect sacrifice when he died on the cross].

6 འདི་ལ་བརྟེན་ནས་ང་ཚོ་རྒྱལ་ཁམས་ཤིག་འདྲ་པོ་ཆགས་ཡོད་རེད། ང་ཚོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་ཞབས་ཏོག་ཞུ་མཁན་ཁོང་གི་ཡབ་ཀྱི་བླ་ཆེན་ཚོའི་ཁྱིམ་ཚང་(འདྲ་པོ་) རེད། [ད་ལྟ་] ཡེ་ཤུ་ལ་མུ་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་དཔལ་དང་གཟི་བརྗིད་དང་དབང་ཐང་འཐོབ་པར་ཤོག །དེ་ག་རང་ཡོང་བར་ཤོག

6 Because of this we have become a kingdom. And we are (like) a family of priests who serve God, his Father. [And now] may Jesus receive, glory and honor and dominion power -without end. So be it!

7 ལྟོས་དང༌། (ཡེ་ཤུ་) ཁོང་སྤྲིན་པ་ཐོག་ནས་ཕེབས་ཀྱི་རེད། མི་ཚང་མས་ཁོང་མཐོང་པ་ཚད་ཁོང་ལ་མདུང་བཙུག་མཁན་ཚོས་ཀྱང་ཁོང་མཐོང་གི་རེད། ས་གཞིའི་མི་ཚང་མ་ཁོང་གི་རྐྱེན་གྱིས་མྱ་ངན་བྱེད་ཀྱི་རེད། ཁོང་ཏན་ཏན་ཕེབས་ཀྱི་རེད། ཨ་མེན། (དེ་ག་རང་ཡོང་བར་ཤོག) 

7 Look! He (Jesus) will come on the clouds! Not only will everyone see him but those who pierced him [with a spear] will also see him. All the peoples of the earth will mourn loudly because of him. His coming will surely happen! Amen. (So be it).

8 དེར་ག་རེ་ཡོད་པ་ཚང་མའི་བྱུང་རྐྱེན་དེ་ང་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཚང་མ་མཐའ་ཅན་བྱེད་མཁན་དེ་ང་ཡིན་ཟེར་ནས་ཀུན་དབང་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་གསུང་གི་ཡོད་རེད། ང་ལ་དབང་ཆ་ཆ་ཚང་ཡོད། ང་གསོན་པོ་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ང་ག་དུས་ཡིན་ནས་གསོན་པོ་ཡིན། ང་ཡོང་གི་ཡིན།

8 “I cause all things that there are to come into being and I cause the end of all things,” says the Lord God Almighty. “I have all authority. I am alive and I always was alive. And I will come.”

 

ལྗཱོན་གྱིས་ཡི་གེ་འདི་ག་རེ་བྱས་ནས་འབྲི་གི་ཡོད་པའི་གསལ་བཤད་གནང་གི་ཡོད་པ།

John explains why he is writing his letter

9 ང་ལྗཱོན་ཡིན་པ་དང་། ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོ་ནང་བཞིན་ང་ཡང་(ཡེ་ཤུ་) མ་ཤི་ཀ་ལ་ཡིད་ཆེས་བྱེད་ཀྱི་ཡོད། བྱས་ཙང་ང་ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོའི་སྤུན་ཀྱག་དང་ཁྱད་ཡོད་མ་རེད། ཡེ་ཤུ་ཁོང་ང་ཚོའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་རེད། ང་ཚོ་ཁོང་གི་མི་ཡིན་ཙང་ང་ཚོ་སྡུག་སྔལ་མྱོང་གི་ཡོད་རེད། བྱས་ཙང་ཁྱེད་རང་ཚོ་ནང་བཞིན་ང་བློ་སྟོབས་ཆེན་པོ་དང་ངང་རྒྱུད་རིང་པོ་དགོས་ཀྱི་རེད། ངས་མི་ཚོ་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་སྐོར་ལ་སློབ་སྟོན་བྱས་པ་དང་། ཁོང་ཚོ་ལ་ཡེ་ཤུ་སྐོར་བཤད་ཙང་ང་[བཙོན་པ་བཟོས་ནས་] པེཏྲ་མོས་གླིང་ཕྲན་ལ་རྒྱང་འབུད་བཏང་པ་རེད།

9 I am John, and, like you, I believe in (Jesus) Christ. So I am like a brother to you. Jesus is our King. And because we are his people we are suffering. So, like you, I need to be strong and patient. I was banished to the Island of Patmos [as a prisoner] because I taught people about God and told them about Jesus.

10 གཙོ་བོའི་ཉིན་མོ་[ང་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བསྟོད་པ་དང་གཏང་རག་འབུལ་དུས་] ང་དམ་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཡོངས་སུ་ཁྱབ་སོང་། ཐོག་རྒྱག་གོབ་རྒྱག་ངས་ང་རང་གི་རྒྱབ་ལོགས་ལ་གསུང་གི་སྒྲ་ཆེན་པོ་ཞེ་དྲག་ཅིག་ཐོས་བྱུང་། སྒྲ་དེ་དུང་བུས་པ་འདྲ་པོ་གསང་པོ་ཡོད་པ་དང་། དེ་རྒྱབ་ལོགས་ནས་ཐོས་བྱུང་།

10 On the Lord’s Day [when I was offering praise and thanks to God] I was completely pervaded by the Spirit of God. Suddenly I heard behind me a very loud voice. The sound was as loud as a trumpet blast and it came from behind me.

11 ང་ལ་བཀའ་མོལ་གནང་མཁན་དེས་གསུངས་སོང་། ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་ག་རེ་མཐོང་པ་དེ་འབྲི་ནས་དེ་ཨེ་ཕི་སྶ་དང༌། སྨར་ན་དང་། པེར་སྒ་མམ་དང་། ཐཱ་ཡ་ཀྲཡི་ར་དང་། སར་ཌིས་དང། ཕི་ལེ་ཌེལ་ཕི་ཡཱ་དང་། ལའོ་ཌི་སི་ཡ་བཅས་གཤམ་གསལ་གྱི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དེ་ཚོ་ནང་ཡོད་པའི་ཆོས་ཚོགས་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་ཐོངས། 

11 The One who spoke to me said, “Write down what you see and send it to the seven churches that are in the following cities: Ephesus; Smyrna; Pergamum; Thyatira; Sardis; Philadelphia and Laodicea.”

John Sees Jesus, the Son of Man

12 [ལྗཱོན་] ངས་རྒྱབ་བསྒྱུར་ནས་ང་ལ་བཀའ་མོལ་གནང་མཁན་དེ་སུ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་མིག་བལྟས་དུས། ངས་གསེར་གྱི་བཞུ་ཀྱག་བདུན་མཐོང་བྱུང༌།

12 When I [John] turned around to see who was speaking to me I saw seven golden lamp-stands.

13 ངས་ཞུ་ཀྱག་དེ་ཚོའི་དཀྱིལ་ལ་མིའི་བུ་འདྲ་པོ་ཡིན་པའི་མི་ཞིག་མཐོང་བྱུང་། ཁོང་གིས་ཟླ་གམ་རིང་པོ་ཞིག་མཆོད་ཡོད་པ་དང་། ཁོང་གི་བྲང་ཁོག་གི་ཕྲེད་ལ་གསེར་གྱི་སྐ་རགས་ཤིག་བཅིངས་འདུག

13 In the middle of these lamp-stands I saw someone who looked like a man. He was wearing a long robe and he had a gold sash tied across his chest.

14 ཁོང་གི་དབུ་སྐྲ་བལ་འདྲ་པོ་དཀར་པོ་དཀར་རྐྱང་རེད་འདུག །དེ་གངས་འདྲ་པོ་དཀར་པོ་དཀར་རྐྱང་རེད་འདུག །ཁོང་གི་སྤྱན་དེ་ཚོ་མེ་ལྕེ་འདྲ་པོ་འོད་འཕྲོ་གི་འདུག

14 The hair on his head was white like wool. It was as white as snow. His eyes shone like flames of fire.

15 ཁོང་གི་ཞབས་དེ་ཚོ་མེ་ཐབ་ནང་བཙོ་སྦྱང་བྱས་པའི་ལི་འདྲ་པོ་འོད་འཕྲོ་གི་འདུག །ཁོང་གིས་གསུང་བྱོན་དུས་ཁོང་གི་གསུང་གི་སྒྲ་དེ་ཤུགས་ཀྱིས་རྒྱུག་བཞིན་ཡོད་པའི་གཙང་པོ་མང་པོ་འདྲ་པོ་འདུག

15 His feet were glowing like bronze that had been refined in a furnace. When he spoke, his voice was like the sound of many rushing rivers.

16 ཁོང་གི་ཕྱག་གཡས་པའི་ནང་ལ་སྐར་མ་བདུན་བསྣམས་ཡོད་པ་དང༌། ཁོང་གི་ཞལ་ནང་ནས་རིང་གྲི་ཁ་གཉིས་མ་རྩེ་རྣོ་པོ་ཞིག་ཐོན་འདུག །ཁོང་གི་ཞལ་རས་བཀྲག་མདངས་ཆེ་བའི་ཉི་མའི་འོད་ནང་བཞིན་འདུག

16 He held seven stars in his right hand and a sharp two-edged sword came out from his mouth. His face was like the sun when it shines in all its brightness.

17 ངས་ཁོང་མཇལ་དུས་ང་གཤིན་པོ་ཞིག་ནང་བཞིན་ཁོང་གི་ཞབས་མདུན་ལ་འགྱེལ་སོང༌། དེ་ནས་ཁོང་གིས་རང་གི་ཕྱག་གཡས་པ་(ངའི་མགོ་ལ) བཞག་གནང་ནས་གསུངས་སོང་། ཞེད་སྣང་མ་བྱིས། ཐོག་མ་དང་མཐའ་མ་དེ་ང་ཡིན།

17 When I saw him, I fell down at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand (on my head) and said, “Do not be afraid! I am First and I am Last.

18 གསོན་པོ་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ང་ཡིན། ང་ཐེངས་གཅིག་ཤི་ཚར་བ་རེད། ཡིན་ན་ཡང་ལྟོས་དང༌། ང་གསོན་པོ་ཡིན། ང་ག་དུས་ཡིན་ནས་གསོན་པོ་གནས་ཀྱི་རེད། [ང་ཡང་བསྐྱར་ཤི་གི་མ་རེད།] ང་ལ་འཆི་བ་དང་གཤིན་ཁམས་ཀྱི་ལྡེ་མིག་ཡོད། 

18 I am the living One. I am alive. I died once. But look! I am alive. And I will always be alive. [I will not die again]. I have the keys to death and Hades (the realm of the dead).

19 དེ་འདྲ་སོང་ཙང་ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་ག་རེ་མཐོང་པ་ཚང་མ་ཡིག་ཐོག་ལ་ཁོད་ཅིག །ད་ལྟ་ག་རེ་བྱུང་བཞིན་པ་དེའི་སྐོར་ལ་བྲིས། དེ་ག་ནང་བཞིན་ཕྱིས་སུ་ག་རེ་འབྱུང་གི་ཡིན་པའི་སྐོར་ལ་ཡང་བྲིས།

19 Therefore, write down everything that you have seen. Write about what is happening now. And write about what will happen later.

20 ཁྱེད་རང་གིས་ངའི་ལག་པ་གཡས་པ་ནང་མཐོང་པའི་སྐར་མ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་དང་། གསེར་གྱི་བཞུ་ཀྱག་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོའི་སྦས་དོན་འདི་རེད། སྐར་མ་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ཆོས་ཚོགས་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ལ་ལྟ་རྟོགས་བྱེད་མཁན་ཕོ་ཉ་དེ་ཚོ་མཚོན་གྱི་ཡོད་པ་དང་། གསེར་གྱི་བཞུ་ཀྱག་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་ཆོས་ཚོགས་བདུན་པོ་དེ་ཚོ་མཚོན་གྱི་ཡོད་རེད།

20 The hidden meaning of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the hidden meaning of the seven golden lamp-stands is this: The seven stars represent the angels that watch over the seven churches. And the seven golden lamp-stands represent the seven churches.”
