Be Fruitful for Jesus – Every Day Fellowship with Jesus – Psalm 1

 

What does it mean to fellowship with Jesus?

 

ཡོ་ཧ་ནན་དང་པོ། 1

1དེ་ཡང་ཐོག་མ་ཉིད་ནས་བཞུགས་པའི་ཚེ་སྲོག་གི་བཀའ་དེ་གླེང་བ་ཡིན་ན། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་བཀའ་དེ་རྣ་བས་ཐོས་ཤིང་མིག་གིས་མཐོང་མྱོང་བ༌དང༌། དངོས་སུ་བལྟས་མྱོང་ལ། ལག་པས་ཀྱང་དངོས་སུ་རེག་མྱོང་ངོ་།། 2ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་མངོན་པར་གྱུར་ཡོད་ལ་ངེད་ཅག་གིས་མཐོང་མྱོང་བ་དང་། ད་ལྟ་དེ་ལ་བདེན་དཔང་བྱེད་བཞིན་ཡོད་དེ། མ་གཞི་ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་ཉིད་ནི་ཡབ་དང་ལྷན་དུ་བཞུགས་ཤིང་། ངེད་ཅག་ལ་མངོན་པར་གྱུར་པའི་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་ཁྱོད་ཅག་ལ་སྒྲོག་པ་ཡིན། 3ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ངེད་ཅག་ལ་འདྲིས་པའི༌ཕྱིར། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་གང་ཞིག་མཐོང་ཞིང་ཐོས་པ་དག་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་སྒྲོག་པ་ཡིན། ངེད་ཅག་ནི་དངོས་གནས་ཡབ་དང་ཁོང་གི་སྲས་ཡེ་ཤུ་མཱ་ཤི་ཀར་འདྲིས་ཡོད་དོ།། 4བདག་ཅག་ཡོངས་སུ་དགའ་ཞིང་སྤྲོ་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་དོན་འདི་དག་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་བྲིས་པའོ།།

5དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་འོད་ཟེར་ཡིན་པས་ཁོང་ལ་མུན་ནག་གཏན་ནས་མེད་དོ།། འདི་ནི་ངེད་ཅག་གིས་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུ་ནས་ཐོས་ཤིང་ཁྱོད་ཅག་ལ་སྒྲོག་པའི་བརྡ་འཕྲིན་ཡིན་ནོ།། 6གལ་ཏེ། བདག་ཅག་གིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འདྲིས་ཡོད་ཟེར་ཡང་། ད་དུང་མུན་ནག་ནང་དུ་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡིན་ན། དེ་ནི་བདག་ཅག་གིས་རྫུན་སྨྲས་པ་ཡིན་པས་བདེན་པ་ཉིད་བཞིན་དུ་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པ་མ་ཡིན། 7དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་འོད་ཟེར་ནང་དུ་བཞུགས་པ་བཞིན། བདག་ཅག་འོད་ཟེར་ནང་དུ་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡིན་ན། བདག་ཅག་ཕན་ཚུན་ལ་འདྲིས་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ལ། ཁོང་གི་སྲས་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུའི་སྐུ་ཁྲག་གིས་བདག་ཅག་གི་སྡིག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་འདག་པར་མཛད༌དོ།།

8བདག་ཅག་གིས་རང་ལ་སྡིག་པ་མེད་ཟེར་ན། དེ་ནི་རང་མགོ་རང་གིས་གཡོག་པ་ཡིན་པས། བདེན་པ་ཉིད་ནི་བདག་ཅག་གི་སེམས་སུ་གནས༌པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།། 9དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་ཡིད་རྟོན་རུང་བ་དང་དྲང་བདེན་ཡིན་པས། བདག་ཅག་གིས་རང་གི་སྡིག་པ་མཐོལ་བཤགས་བྱས༌ན། ཁོང་གིས་བདག་ཅག་གི་སྡིག་པ་བསལ་ཞིང་དྲང་བདེན་མ་ཡིན་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་གཙང་མར་མཛད་ངེས་ཡིན། 10བདག་ཅག་གིས་སྡིག་པ་བྱས་མ་མྱོང་ཟེར་ན། བདག་ཅག་གིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་ཞལ་རྫུན་གསུང་མཁན་དུ་བརྩིས་པས། ཁོང་གི་བཀའ་ཡང་བདག་ཅག་གི་སེམས་སུ་གནས༌པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།།

 

1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

 

The Apostle John was writing about his personal encounter with Jesus who magnified the words of God in person. Together with many disciples of Jesus, they learned from the Lord and Savior proper fellowship with God.

Proper and fruitful fellowship between Man and God involve agreement and loyalty based on scripture truth which had already been revealed and written from the time of Moses presented in the Torah (Pentateuch) and also the writings of the Prophets.

Scripture revealed Man’s sin against God and call for repentance that we should turn away from sin and sinful ways and continue our daily lives in acts of obedience to God’s words.

When Jesus was living among the apostles in person He lived in complete obedience to scripture truth as an example of obedience to the Father and His disciples were taught to follow His practice.

The words of God revealed in scripture make distinction between those who serve and worship God and those who don’t, and create separation and division between those who are in actual fellowship with God and those who do not.

 

Today lesson we are going to look at a very well-known message from Psalm

 

གསུང་མགུར 1

1ངན་པའི་གྲོས་ལ་མི་ཉན་ཞིང་། སྡིག་ཅན་དཔེ་རུ་མི་འབྲངས་བའམ།

དཀོན་མཆོག་ངོས་འཛིན་མི་ཞུ་མཁན་རྣམས་ཀྱི། ཁོངས་སུ་མི་གཏོགས་པ་རྣམས་བདེའོ།

2དེའི་ཚབ་དེ་ཚོ་གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི། བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་རྣམས་ཉན་བར་ཡི་རང་ཤིང་།

ཉིན་མཚན་མེད་པར་དེ་ཚོས་དེ་སློབ་སྦྱོང་བྱེད་དོ།

3དེ་ཚོ་གཙང་ཚུའི་འགྲམ་གྱི་སྐྱེ་ཤིང་འདྲ། དེ་ལ་དུས་སུ་འབྲས་བུ་སྨིན།

དེ་ཡི་ལོ་བདབ་མི་རྙིད་པར། དེ་ཚོའི་ལས་དོན་ཡོངས་སུ་འགྲུབ།

4འོན་ཀྱང་མི་ངན་དེ་ཚོ་ཙ་བ་ནས་དེ་ལྟར་མིན།

དེ་དག་རླུང་གིས་འཁྱེར་བའི་སོག་མ་དང་མཚུངས།

5སྡིག་ཅན་རྣམས་ལ་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས། ཞལ་ཆེ་གཅོད་པར་མཛད་གནང་ཞིང་།

ཉིད་ཀྱི་མི་འབངས་ཁོངས་གཏོགས་ནས། དེ་དག་ཡོངས་སུ་ཕྱིར་སྐྲོད་མཛད།

6གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཁོང་གིས་དྲང་བདེན་ཚོར། དབུ་ཁྲིད་དང་ནི་སྲུང་སྐྱོབས་མཛད་གནང་ངོ་།

འོན་ཀྱང་མི་ངན་རྣམས་ནི་མཐའ་མར་འཇིགས་འགྱུར༎

 

Psalm 1

1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; 6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

 

Psalm 1 teaches what is expected of a person who seek the blessing of God and that would involve proper fellowship with God. Such a person finds fulfillment to “meditates day and night” upon the law of the Lord and that means to know, to understand, to observe and obey the words and teachings of God.

Our daily practice of studying and acting out in obedience according to God’s words make distinction of us and those in the world who does not worship God and are not in fellowship with Jesus the Christ.

The basic requirement of being a disciple of Jesus Christ is to “meditates day and night” the law of the Lord so that we may understand and do the will of God. It is a form of education, if we can call that self-education that teaches us to seek proper fellowship with God.

We need to make it our daily practice to study the words of God and make our practice into our personal habits of daily obedience to God’s word. This is the kind of devotion to proper fellowship with Jesus the Christ and God the Father.

Our fellowship with God is in our acts of obedience.
