What does it mean to fellowship with Jesus?

1དེ་ཡང་ཐོག་མ་ཉིད་ནས་བཞུགས་པའི་ཚེ་སྲོག་གི་བཀའ་དེ་གླེང་བ་ཡིན་ན། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་བཀའ་དེ་རྣ་བས་ཐོས་ཤིང་མིག་གིས་མཐོང་མྱོང་བ༌དང༌། དངོས་སུ་བལྟས་མྱོང་ལ། ལག་པས་ཀྱང་དངོས་སུ་རེག་མྱོང་ངོ་།། 2ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་མངོན་པར་གྱུར་ཡོད་ལ་ངེད་ཅག་གིས་མཐོང་མྱོང་བ་དང་། ད་ལྟ་དེ་ལ་བདེན་དཔང་བྱེད་བཞིན་ཡོད་དེ། མ་གཞི་ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་ཉིད་ནི་ཡབ་དང་ལྷན་དུ་བཞུགས་ཤིང་། ངེད་ཅག་ལ་མངོན་པར་གྱུར་པའི་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་ཚེ་སྲོག་དེ་ཁྱོད་ཅག་ལ་སྒྲོག་པ་ཡིན། 3ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ངེད་ཅག་ལ་འདྲིས་པའི༌ཕྱིར། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་གང་ཞིག་མཐོང་ཞིང་ཐོས་པ་དག་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་སྒྲོག་པ་ཡིན། ངེད་ཅག་ནི་དངོས་གནས་ཡབ་དང་ཁོང་གི་སྲས་ཡེ་ཤུ་མཱ་ཤི་ཀར་འདྲིས་ཡོད་དོ།། 4བདག་ཅག་ཡོངས་སུ་དགའ་ཞིང་སྤྲོ་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་ཕྱིར། ངེད་ཅག་གིས་དོན་འདི་དག་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་བྲིས་པའོ།།

5དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་འོད་ཟེར་ཡིན་པས་ཁོང་ལ་མུན་ནག་གཏན་ནས་མེད་དོ།། འདི་ནི་ངེད་ཅག་གིས་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུ་ནས་ཐོས་ཤིང་ཁྱོད་ཅག་ལ་སྒྲོག་པའི་བརྡ་འཕྲིན་ཡིན་ནོ།། 6གལ་ཏེ། བདག་ཅག་གིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་དང་འདྲིས་ཡོད་ཟེར་ཡང་། ད་དུང་མུན་ནག་ནང་དུ་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡིན་ན། དེ་ནི་བདག་ཅག་གིས་རྫུན་སྨྲས་པ་ཡིན་པས་བདེན་པ་ཉིད་བཞིན་དུ་སྤྱད་པ་སྤྱོད་པ་མ་ཡིན། 7དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་འོད་ཟེར་ནང་དུ་བཞུགས་པ་བཞིན། བདག་ཅག་འོད་ཟེར་ནང་དུ་སྤྱོད་པ་ཡིན་ན། བདག་ཅག་ཕན་ཚུན་ལ་འདྲིས་ཡོད་པ་ཡིན་ལ། ཁོང་གི་སྲས་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུའི་སྐུ་ཁྲག་གིས་བདག་ཅག་གི་སྡིག་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་འདག་པར་མཛད༌དོ།།

8བདག་ཅག་གིས་རང་ལ་སྡིག་པ་མེད་ཟེར་ན། དེ་ནི་རང་མགོ་རང་གིས་གཡོག་པ་ཡིན་པས། བདེན་པ་ཉིད་ནི་བདག་ཅག་གི་སེམས་སུ་གནས༌པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།། 9དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་ཡིད་རྟོན་རུང་བ་དང་དྲང་བདེན་ཡིན་པས། བདག་ཅག་གིས་རང་གི་སྡིག་པ་མཐོལ་བཤགས་བྱས༌ན། ཁོང་གིས་བདག་ཅག་གི་སྡིག་པ་བསལ་ཞིང་དྲང་བདེན་མ་ཡིན་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་གཙང་མར་མཛད་ངེས་ཡིན། 10བདག་ཅག་གིས་སྡིག་པ་བྱས་མ་མྱོང་ཟེར་ན། བདག་ཅག་གིས་དཀོན་མཆོག་ནི་ཞལ་རྫུན་གསུང་མཁན་དུ་བརྩིས་པས། ཁོང་གི་བཀའ་ཡང་བདག་ཅག་གི་སེམས་སུ་གནས༌པ་མ་ཡིན་ནོ།།

 

1 John 1

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

 

The Apostle John was writing about his encounter with Jesus. Together with many disciples of Jesus, they learned from the Lord and Savior proper fellowship with God.

Proper and fruitful fellowship between Man and God involve agreement and loyalty based on scripture truth which had already been revealed and written from the time of Moses presented in the Torah (Pentateuch) and also the witting of the Prophets.

Scripture revealed Man’s sin against God and call for repentance that we should turn away from sin and sinful ways and continue our daily lives in acts of obedience to God’s words.

According to records of the Gospels and witness of the disciples Jesus lived in complete obedience to scripture truth as an example of agreement and loyalty to the Father and we are taught to follow Jesus’ example.

The words of God revealed in scripture make distinction between those who serve and worship God and those who don’t, and create separation and division between those who are in actual fellowship with God and those who do not.

Today lesson we are going to look at Psalm 2 which do speak of the 1,000-year reign of Christ or what most Christian theologians coined as The Millennium

1མི་རིགས་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ནི། ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ངོ་ལོག་བྱེད་པར་བརྩམ།

མི་ཚོས་ཅིའི་ཕྱིར་ཕན་མེད་ཀྱི་བྱུས་ངན་བརྩམས་པར་བྱ།

2དེ་ཚོའི་རྒྱལ་པོ་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་རྒོལ་ཞིང། དེ་ཚོའི་མངའ་བདག་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བློ་མཐུན་གྱིས།

གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་རང་ཉིད་དང་། ཁོང་གིས་འདེམས་བསྐོས་མཛད་གནང་བའི།

རྒྱལ་པོར་རྒོལ་ཞིང་བྱུས་ངན་བརྩམས།

3ངེད་རྣམས་ཁོ་ཚོའི་མངའ་འོག་ནས། ངེས་པར་ཐར་བར་བྱེད་དགོས་ཏེ།

དེ་ཚོའི་དབང་རྣམས་སྤངས་དགོས། ཅེས་སོགས་ཁོ་ཚོས་སྨྲ་བར་བྱེད།

4མཐོ་རིས་གནས་ཀྱི་བཞུགས་ཁྲི་ནས།

གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ཀྱིས་ནི་དེ་ཚོའི་འཆར་གཞི་ནུས་མེད་ལ།

གཟིགས་ཏེ་འཕྱ་ཞིང་བཞད་མོ་བཞེས།

5དེ་ནས་ཁོང་གིས་དེ་དག་ལ། ཐུགས་ཁྲོའི་ངང་དུ་བཟོན་བརྡ་མཛད།

ཁོང་གི་ཐུགས་ཁྲོ་དྲག་པོ་ཡིས། དེ་ཚོར་འཇིགས་སྣང་བསྐུལ་བར་མཛད།

6ཛི་ཡོན་ང་ཡི་དམ་པའི་རི་བོའི་རྩེར།

ང་ཡིས་རྒྱལ་པོ་བསྐོས་ཡོད་ཅེས་ཁོང་གིས་གསུངས།

7གཙོ་བོས་གསལ་བསྒྲགས་གང་མཛད་པ་ང་ཡིས།

ཁྱབ་བསྒྲགས་བྱེད་ཅེས་རྒྱལ་པོས་གསུངས། ཁྱོད་ནི་ང་ཡི་བུ་ཡིན་པས།

དེ་རིང་ང་ནི་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་ཕ་རུ་འགྱུར་ཞེས་ཁོང་གིས་ང་ལ་གསུངས།

8ང་ལ་ཞུས་ཤིག་ངས་ཁྱོད་ལ། མི་རིགས་ཚང་མ་སྟེར་བར་བྱ།

འཇིག་རྟེན་ཡོངས་ཛོགས་ཁྱོད་ལ་བདག།

9ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དེ་དག་ལྕགས་དབྱུགས་གིས་བཅག་པར་འགྱུར།

རྫ་སྣོད་བཞིན་དུ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་དེ་ཚོར་སིལ་བུར་ལྕག།

10ད་རྒྱལ་པོ་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཟོན་བརྡ་འདིར་ཉོན་ཞིག། ས་གཞིའི་སྲིད་སྐྱོང་པ་རྣམས་སློབ་ཚན་འདི་སྦྱོང་ཞིག།

11གཙོ་བོ་དཀོན་མཆོག་ལ་བག་སེམས་ཆེན་པོའི་ངང་ཞབས་ཏོག་ཞུས།

12འདར་ཞིང་ཁོང་ལ་གུས་ཕྱག་འཚོལ། དེ་མིན་ཁོང་གི་ཐུགས་ཁྲོ་དེ།

མྱུར་དུ་འབེར་བར་འགྱུར་བའི་རྐྱེན། ཁྱོད་ནི་བློ་བུར་འཆི་བར་འགྱུར།

དེས་ན་ཁོང་གི་ཞབས་དྲུང་དུ། སྐྱབས་ཞུ་བྱ་མཁན་རྣམས་ནི་བདེའོ༎

 

Psalm 2

1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. 5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.”  7 I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”

10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

 

So what does the 1,000-year reign of Christ, The Millennium, has to do with our practice of daily fellowship with Jesus now?

It’s about being prepared and ready for eternal fellowship with Christ.

If today we are not familiar, not prepared, having no understanding, about what it means to fellowship with Jesus, then we will not be ready when Christ return for The Millennium.

The reign of Christ during The Millennium will be through the establishment and magnification of God’s law and ordinances which had already been revealed through the Torah and writings of the Prophets. Jesus Himself speaks of the Law and the Prophets in The Sermon on the Mount

 

མད་ཐཱ། 5:17-20

17དེ་ནས་ཡང་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུས་འདི་སྐད༌དུ། བདག་ནི་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དང་ཡང་ན་ལུང་སྟོན་པའི་མདོ་རྣམས་མེད་པར་བཟོ་ཕྱིར་ཡོང་བར་མ་འདོད༌ཅིག བདག་ནི་མེད་པར་བཟོ་ཕྱིར་ཡོང་བ་མ་ཡིན་པར་དེ་རྣམས་བསྒྲུབ་ཕྱིར་ཡོང་བ༌ཡིན། 18བདག་གིས་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་བདེན་པར་སྨྲ༌སྟེ། གནམ་ས་གཉིས་འཇིག་པའི་བར༌དུ། བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་ཀྱི་མདོ་ལས་ཡིག་འབྲུ་གཅིག་གམ་ཚེག་ཐིག་གཅིག་ཀྱང་འཇིག་པར་མི་འགྱུར༌ཞིང༌། དོན་དེ་ཐམས་ཅད་འགྲུབ་པར༌ངེས། 19དེ་བས་སུ་ཞིག་གིས་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་འདི་དག་ལས་ཆུང་ཤོས་གཅིག་འདོར༌ཞིང༌། ཡང་གཞན་རྣམས་ལ་དེ་བཞིན་ལོག་ཁྲིད་བྱེད༌ན། མི་དེ་ནི་ནམ་མཁའི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་དུ་ཆེས་ཆུང་ཤོས་ཡིན༌ཟེར། འོན༌ཀྱང༌། སུ་ཞིག་གིས་བཀའ་ཁྲིམས་དེ་དག་སྲུང༌ཞིང༌། གཞན་ལའང་དེ་བཞིན་ཁྲིད་སྟོན་བྱེད༌ན། མི་དེ་ནི་ནམ་མཁའི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་ནང་དུ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡིན་ཟེར་བར༌འགྱུར། 20ཡང་བདག་གིས་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་སྨྲ་བར་བྱ༌སྟེ། ཁྱོད་ཅག་གི་དྲང་བདེན་ནི་མཁན་པོ་དང་ཕ་རུ་ཤི་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་དྲང་བདེན་ལས་ཀྱང་ལྷག་པ་མ་ཡིན༌ན། ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཅིས་ཀྱང་ནམ་མཁའི་རྒྱལ་སྲིད་དུ་ཞུགས་མི་ཐུབ་ཅེས་གསུངས༌སོ།།

 

Matthew 5:17-20

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

 

The complete teaching of God is not what we could comprehend in one single day and do everything at once but something that we need systematic and consistent learning and practices. Therefore through our daily practice of learning and applying the teachings of God we are deepening our fellowship and relationship with God.
