Be Fruitful for Jesus – Foundation Class – Genesis 1:26-27

 

Remember the Parable of the Sower

 

མད་ཐཱ། 13:23

ས་བོན་ས་རྒྱུ་བཟང་པོ་ལ་འཐོར་བ་ནི་དཀོན་མཆོག་གི་བཀའ་ཐོས་ནས་རྟོགས་པའི་མི་དེ་ཡིན། འབྲས་བུ་སྨིན་ཏེ། འབྲས་བུ་ཁ་ཤས་ལྡབ་བརྒྱ་དང༌། ཁ་ཤས་ལྡབ་དྲུག་ཅུ། ཁ་ཤས་ལྡབ་སུམ་ཅུ་བཅས་སྨིན་” ཞེས་གསུངས།

 

Matthew 13:23

As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”

 

The key to being fruitful for Jesus is “the one who hears the word and understands it”. Knowing and understanding the words of God is foundational to obedience and doing the will of God.

This lesson address our human history as God revealed in scripture truth and not what the world is promoting as scientific theory of evolution by natural selection.

Man was a unique creation of God as all the other living creatures were also created by God

 

བཀོད་པ 1:26-27

26  དེ་ནས་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་ཉ་རྣམས་དང་། བྱ་རྣམས་དང་། ཁྱིམ་ནང་གི་སྒོ་ཕྱུགས་ཆེ་ཚུང་ཆང་མ་དང་ནགས་ཀྱི་གཅན་གཟན་རྣམས་ལ་དབང་བྱེད་པའི་ཕྱིར་ང་ཚོའི་དབྱིབས་དང་འདྲ་བ་མིའི་རིགས་ལ་བཟོ་བར་བྱ་ཞེས་གསུངས་སོ།  27  དེ་ལྟར་དཀོན་མཆོག་གིས་མིའི་རིགས་ལ་ཉིད་ཀྱི་དབྱིབས་ལྟར་མི་ཕོ་མོ་གཉིས་བཀོད་དོ།

 

Genesis 1:26-27

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

 

Genesis chapter one revealed the creations of livings creatures and Man by God here on Earth. What set Man apart from all other created living creatures –

 

1) created in the image of God to reflect God’s character. Human are not mini gods but designed and created with the ability to function with knowledge and understanding of the righteousness, truth, and justice of God, reflecting the character of God in our life.

2) created with ability to communicate through vocal speech. Man was designed and created with the ability to talk and communicate with God and fellow humans through recognizable speeches. The two recorded incident of animal talking – the serpent talking to Eve (Genesis 3:1) and the donkey talking to Balaam (Numbers 22:30) were abnormal, something not supposed to happen by their own ability as they were crated to function.

3) created to be God’s appointed steward to manage the well-being of Earth’s living environment. It is very sad and sobering to know that our living environment on Earth today is saturated with pervasive lack of peace and human strive, unjust violence and reckless bloodshed, not according to what was created to be. The world today is heading towards being more chaotic and overflow of spiritual darkness and the root of it all is in human’s acts of sin against the words and teaching of God revealed in Scripture. Man was created to uphold and promote God’s righteousness, truth and justice, but sin against God crippled our ability to obey God.

 

To know our true human history, our root and origin, is fundamental to our daily living today and our future.

If Man continues the path of sin we are all heading for eternal death and destruction. But if we consider what we did wrong against God our creator and repent of our sin and learn to walk in obedience to God’s word there is hope of redemption and restoration to eternal life and blessing with God.

 

The Apostle Paul taught on the same principle

 

རོ་མཱ་པ། 14:8

བདག་ཅག་འཚོ་ན་གཙོ་བོའི་དོན་དུ་འཚོ༌ཞིང༌། ཤི་ནའང་གཙོ་བོའི་དོན་དུ་ཤི་བ་ཡིན༌པས། བདག་ཅག་ནི་ཤི་གསོན་གང་ཡིན་ཡང་གཙོ་བོའི་མི་ཡིན་ནོ།།

 

Romans 14:8

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

 

Paul was teaching the believers and disciples of Jesus to live according to the righteousness and justice of God revealed in scripture.

Those who believe in the evolution of Man from Ape rejected any accountability to God and therefore have no regards to the words and teachings of God.

Genesis 1:1 taught us about our first foundational faith in God as creator and owner. And Genesis 1:26-27 revealed to us our unique creation as God created us to function.

Scripture truth teaches us accountability to God with the expected reward of blessing through obedience and judgement because of disobedience.

We were created with obligation to serve God and obey His words. Jesus also taught about the importance of doing obedience to God’s words.

 

ཡོ་ཧ་ནན། 14:15-24

15དེ་ནས་ཡང་སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུས་འདི་སྐད༌དུ། གལ་ཏེ་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་བདག་གཅེས་པར་འཛིན་ན་བདག་གི་བཀའ་རྣམས་ཀྱང་བསྲུང་བར་འགྱུར། 16བདག་གིས་ཡབ་ལ་ཞུ་བ་བྱེད་ཅིང་། ཁོང་གིས་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ལ་སྡོངས་གྲོགས་གཞན་ཞིག་གནང་ཞིང་རྟག་ཏུ་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གནས་པར་འགྱུར་རོ།། 17དེ་ནི་བདེན་པ་སྟོན་མཁན་ཏེ་དམ་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ཡིན༌ལ། འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཁོང་ཉིད་མི་མཐོང་ཞིང་ངོ་མི་ཤེས་པས་དང་དུའང་ལེན་མི་ནུས་སོ།། འོན་ཀྱང་དམ་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ནི་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་དང་མཉམ་དུ་གནས་ཤིང་ཁྱོད་ཅག་གི་སེམས་སུ་ཡོད་པར་འགྱུར༌བས། ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དམ་པའི་ཐུགས་ཉིད་ངོ་ཤེས༌པ་ཡིན། 18ངས་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་དྭ་ཕྲུག་བཞིན་དུ་མི་བསྐྱུར་བར་ང་རང་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་གམ་དུ་ཡོང་ངེས༌ཡིན། 19ཡང་དེ་ནས་ཅུང་མ་འགོར་བའི་རྗེས་སུ། འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་མི་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ང་རང་མི་མཐོང་ཡང་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ང་རང་མཐོང་བར༌འགྱུར། ང་རང་གསོན་པོར་གནས་པས་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱང་གསོན་པོར་གནས་ཐུབ༌ཅིང་། 20ཉིན་མོ་དེར་བདག་ནི་ཡབ་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་གནས་ཤིང་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་བདག་གི་ནང་དུ་གནས་པ༌དང༌། ང་རང་ཡང་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱི་ནང་དུ་གནས་པའི་དོན་དེ་ཁྱོད་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་ཤེས་པར་འགྱུར། 21བདག་གི་བཀའ་ཐོབ་པ་དང་བཀའ་དེ་རྣམས་སྲུང་མཁན་ནི་ང་རང་ལ་བྱམས་ཤིང་གཅེས་མཁན་ཡིན། ང་རང་ལ་གཅེས་མཁན་དེར་བདག་གི་ཡབ་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་གཅེས༌ཤིང༌། ངས་ཀྱང་མི་དེ་ལ་བྱམས་ཤིང་གཅེས་པ་དང་ང་རང་ཡང་མི་དེ་ལ་མངོན་པར་བྱ་ཞེས་གསུངས༌སོ།།

22དེ་ནས་ཨི་སི་ཀར་རེའི་ཡུ་དཱ་མ་ཡིན་པར་ཡང་ཡུ་དཱ་ཞེས་འབོད་པའི་ཐུགས་སྲས་གཞན་ཞིག་ཡོད་པ་ན༌རེ། གཙོ་བོ༌ལགས། ཁྱེད་ཀྱིས་རང་ཉིད་ངེད་ཅག་ལ་མངོན་པར་མཛད་ཅིང་འཇིག་རྟེན་གྱི་མི་ཀུན་ལ་མངོན་པར་མི་མཛད་པ་ཅི་ཡིན་ནམ་ཞེས་ཞུས་པ༌ན། 23སྐྱབས་མགོན་ཡེ་ཤུས་འདི་སྐད༌དུ། གལ་ཏེ་མི་ཞིག་གིས་བདག་གཅེས་པར་འཛིན༌ན། ངའི་བཀའ་ཡང་བསྲུང་ངེས་ཤིང་བདག་གི་ཡབ་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་དེ་ལ་གཅེས་པ༌དང༌། ངེད་ཅག་ཀྱང་ཁོའི་གམ་དུ་ཡོང་ནས་ཁོ་དང་ལྷན་དུ་གནས་པར་འགྱུར། 24བདག་གཅེས་པར་མི་འཛིན་པ་དེས་བདག་གི་བཀའ་ཡང་མི་བསྲུང༌ལ། ཁྱོད་ཅག་གིས་ཐོས་པའི་བཀའ་ནི་བདག་གི་བཀའ་མ་ཡིན་པར། ང་རང་མངགས་མཁན་ཏེ་ཡབ་ཀྱི་བཀའ་ཡིན།

 

John 14:15-24

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father’s who sent me.

 

In brief Jesus was talking about our duty and responsibility to obey God’s teachings and commandments.

God created Man to obey His words and the quality of our relationship with God is based on our acts of obedience to His words.

Man because of sin and disobedience became separated from the presence of God. Human relationship with God was broken due to disobedience.

Jesus as God’s appointed Messiah is teaching and leading us back to fellowship with God through obedience. Jesus is helping restore our human relationship with God through our acts of obedience.
